Naeun attends Dongguk University's admissions ceremony

Article: Son Naeun becomes a freshman at Dongguk University... spotted at her admissions ceremony

Source:
Mydaily via Naver

1. [+343, -38] Naeun: So easy to get into college, am I right???

2. [+341, -40] Do people not understand how she was admitted? The process she went through stole another test taker's spot ㅋㅋㅋ Other students had to prepare for 3-6 years for their spots while she got in just for being pretty ㅋㅋㅋ I wouldn't even care if she had gone into applied music instead

3. [+327, -35] I remember when I was still an A Pink fan last year that Naeun said she was not going to get into college through special treatment and thorugh her own skills alone and yet here she is getting in with special treatment. All of you fans shielding her right now won't wake up until you get your own seat taken by a celebrity.

4. [+290, -46] I wonder how many classes she'll attend... and what year she'll actually graduate in. She can act even without going to college.. did she really have to force another student to be rejected in order to take his spot?

5. [+258, -44] One student who trained and studied so hard just lost his spot because of a celebrity...

6. [+184 ,-25] Why is an idol even studying acting? What is wrong with our country? There's no room for rookie actors anymore because of kids like you

7. [+160, -21] To all the fans defending this ㅋㅋ I'm a Pink Panda myself but there's no excuse, she never took the college entrance exams these past two years. She rejected a special treatment admission and media played a lot about getting into college on her own but she got in through special treatment once again this time ㅋㅋㅋ This really makes me want to give up being a fan of this gorup

1. [+1,757, -80] So easy for you all to get into college ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Acting in Dongguk Unviersity ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ How lucky for you

2. [+1,423, -73] As someone who studied really hard and messed up my college entrance exam, I wish I had been born handsome so that I could be a celebrity ㅠㅠ

3. [+1,367, -59] If she's a singer, she should have just gotten into applied music instead ㅋㅋㅋ

4. [+84, -3] Can we please just set up a college for celebrities only

5. [+74, -3] What's the point? She can't act anyway ㅋㅋㅋ Can't sing, can't act

This makes me so sad.

2. “she never took the college entrance exams these past two years"

I'd be upset too. Especially in Korea, where education is so crucial and important, but so easy for an idol to succeed in.

ReplyDelete
3. blame the schools that set up the system tho

ReplyDelete
4. With how competitive their society is and how cut throat education has become they have every right to be pissed at celebs getting easily for their face/name over kids that gave their high school years to study.

ReplyDelete
5. I would be so mad if i was one of the ones who studied so hard and yet couldn't get the spot cause an idol got it tbqh. All that hard work put into studying

ReplyDelete

Man that's really messed up. It's really not fair for someone who didn't study or take the entrance exam to take the spot of someone who has been prepared to get their spot taken because of special treatment.

ReplyDelete
7. 5. [+74, -3] What's the point? She can't act anyway ㅋㅋㅋ Can't sing, can't act

nope her wgm performance deserves an award.

ReplyDelete
8. welp..there goes na eun

ReplyDelete
9. it is a bit embarrassing that these idols all apply for the acting department. it's probably the main reason why idols get criticized for using their careers as stepping stones for an acting career.

ReplyDelete
10. Dongguk doesn't have speical admission, or is that a differnt one.

ReplyDelete

I would be sooo tight

12. Pink Panda is such a funny fanmember name for a cute group like A Pink

ReplyDelete
13. That crying scene was glorious, A+ acting right there

ReplyDelete
14. "What's the point? She can't act anyway ㅋㅋㅋ Can't sing, can't act"

ouch....

ReplyDelete
15. Koreans never heard of correspondence courses obviously.

ReplyDelete
16. is there any proof of her getting special treatment or do people just think idols cant get into university for doing anything other than music. It's clear naeun isn't a member of Apink for her musical abilities so why are yall so pressed about Naeun getting into acting...

18. My goodness. Are you from New York?

ReplyDelete
19. for drama school? I feel like that's something you need to actually be in class for.

ReplyDelete
20. How do they know she didn't take the entrance exams and got in as cleanly as others students?

ReplyDelete
21. I totaly agree with them. If i could not get into the college i want even with good act and gpa because of a celebrity, i would also be mad

ReplyDelete
22. [+1,423, -73] As someone who studied really hard and messed up my college entrance exam, I wish I had been born handsome so that I could be a celebrity ㅠㅠ

i feel you bro.

23. i wonder how many politicians/rich people's children get to go to universities just because they know someone at the university or can pull some strings. I once knew this boy who did bad on his ACTs, cheated his way through HS (but still didn't get good enough grades) and did no extracurricular but because he knew someone in admissions he got into a really great university near where I live.

ReplyDelete
24. I know only New York peeps say "tight" LOL

ReplyDelete
25. she didn't take any college entrance exams so the only way she's in Dongguk is through special treatment

ReplyDelete
26. What's the point of idols getting into college on special treatment? Most people see college as a gateway to a well paying job as opposed to an educational resource anyways. And even if she (and others) wanted to expand her knowledge, why bother attending college now if up there's no time to study? I'm willing be to be she (and many other idols on special treatment) aren't internalizing the knowledge or even attending majority of the classes. It's a waste of a seat that could have went to someone who would be able to apply it to their lives

ReplyDelete
27. haha XD I'm a brooklyn girl, (lived in queens and bronx for a bit) where are you from?

ReplyDelete
28. How do Koreans know which celebrities got into university through 'special treatment' anyways? Is there like an online database with information on how all the admitted people got in the university? Do universities there release information like that? Or are entrance exams results made public? I'm wondering b/c it is not like that here.

ReplyDelete
29. She didn't take the entrance exams, so how else would she get in.

ReplyDelete
30. it's messed up and i can see why people are mad but it's the system that's messed up, not the idols. Nobody could say they wouldn't do the same if they were in her situation.

ReplyDelete
31. She already has a career track, so I don't really see the point of her going to school. If she wanted to study, or be more educated should could read more books, watch online lectures, etc

ReplyDelete
32. Most likely because being an idol isn't a lifetime job. Not like acting were they can do it for many years to come, idol life has a shelf life. Hence why a lot of idols go to college for acting, music, or something else.

ReplyDelete
33. being an idol is a very short lived career. Who knows if she will even be relevant in 3 years

ReplyDelete
34. when i was in her age, i always blamed people who got into university through someone in university (thats what we called 'cable' that usually from professor/staff/etc..).

ReplyDelete
35. Entrance exam scores are posted on a bulletin board outside the school for students to view, if your name isn't on the list with a score you didn't take it ;)

ReplyDelete
36. I can understand why netizens are pressed about this. Korean students, and also otther Asian students study days and nights in 12 years just to get in college, imagine your spot's taken by some random boys and girls who you know are more stupid than you (it's fact, i don't bask idols though) just because they're famous

ReplyDelete
37. Okay honestly she looks really pretty in that last picture lol.

But why not just study for the college entrance exam and take it? I know it's hard but rather just work instead of taking a freebie and receiving hate

You want to know that you're qualified to take the college courses anyway... What's the point of getting into college only to fail the classes. Training for an idol life during high school and even middle school, you probably don't have time to study, hence lacking the skills to do well in higher education - unless teachers are going to go easy on her and give her a degree anyway because she's famous?

ReplyDelete
38. I somehow understand some of the comments though. College is a big deal for Korea (I guess I could say the same in my country) and knowing how for some it is so easy to get there compare on how ordinary students do is upsetting. But what can be done? That's how society is be it on Korea or any other country. The rich and powerful will always have the upper hand. It's a sad reality.

ReplyDelete
39. and i think it takes one celebrity with huge courage and conscience to reject this offer through special treatment. one person should set an example. if they want to go to university so bad, they WOULD prepare themselves for the entrance exam.

ReplyDelete
40. That's reasonable, but it's still pretty sad. I mean, her company could put her into private lesson right? :( or is the system just really different in Korea compared to the west

ReplyDelete
41. maybe she doesn't have the time or brains to study + pass the test but still wants to have a degree so she can support herself even after her fame is gone

ReplyDelete
42. problem is there're idols who go to college on their owns... so can't say it's the system. System's one of the reason but the idols who decide to use it are at fault too

ReplyDelete
43. so basically it is just word of mouth from the people that went to the same high school? How about the ones that enter college years later post-high school?

ReplyDelete
44. The last episode of WGM was sooooo cheesy

I was cringing when Taemin was singing to her in the theater

If I was an idol, WGM would be like a death sentence

After season 1, it seems like Jo Kwon/Ga in and maybe the sweet potato couple seemed to actually get benefits from being on the show

ReplyDelete
45. true but if you knew you don't have the brains to get in on your own i'm pretty sure you would get in on special treatment if you could

ReplyDelete
46. In the US (maybe in some other countries too, IDK) its a given that you can get into a college if your ancestors donated a significant amount of money to that school,

ReplyDelete
47. that's what i read from an article about her before this...
Dongguk university don't have special admission...
but people said she didn't take the entrance's exam...
and now...i'm confused...

ReplyDelete
48. I wonder what she spoke about...

ReplyDelete
49. It kind of is and it would have been better had Naeun studied and got into whatever college she could but considering her schedules and whatnot I bet this was an easy route for her.

ReplyDelete
50. I can't even imagine how frustrating this must be for normal students

ReplyDelete
51. I guess celebrities get spotted if they take an entrance exam?

ReplyDelete
52. Isn't she more suited to the course, due to her relevant industry experience than someone who rote learns?

ReplyDelete
53. yyeah i know, that's why netizens hate idols this much.

ReplyDelete
54. what's is the point of getting into the university taking other person spot when you won't attend? because let's be honest few idols are the ones who attend classes why she didn't get into a non recognized university? it would have been the same and with less hate

ReplyDelete
55. I don't even understand why idols even go to college tbh. I understand that they want to expand their knowledge, but they're too busy to even attend class. Just wait till you retire damn

ReplyDelete
56. She's so f-ing pretty my God. One of the best visuals in K-pop right now.

ReplyDelete
57. is it wrong that i'm getting angry at naeun for bringing hate onto apink >.< apink is my favorite girl group and it sucks to see their name dragged through the mud because of one member

ReplyDelete
58. FELLOW NEW YORKERS <3

ReplyDelete
59. Well yeah she's entitled to having a career to fall back on after idolhood but... maybe I want to be the CEO of Google but I don't have the time to work for it or the brains to study, that doesn't make it fair OR make me a good candidate for the job lol

ReplyDelete
60. it happens in every fandom

ReplyDelete
61. "How about the ones that enter college years later post-high school?"

Then they'll have to take the exams with the newest set of kids taking it, either way if she didn't get through special treatment she would have to do the exams.

ReplyDelete
62. This hits a little too close to home. Completely understand the netizen's frustrations. I studied my ass off thinking the American Dream exists and all along my spot at the places I wanted/truthfully could have been given were given to legacy of billionaires and Kennedys. Sigh. The work hard dream is an illusion, increasingly so.

ReplyDelete
63. I'm trying to find the plastic surgeon she went to.

ReplyDelete
64. since when did the world function on fairness

ReplyDelete
65. or they can go to less recognized universities that allow them to have less classes

ReplyDelete
66. mm truthfully Eunji doesn't have the best reputation either. She's known as being rude.

ReplyDelete
67. I would be pissed too, but its a sad reality .

ReplyDelete
68. This reminds me of how Taecyeon didn't attend any of his classes and showed up to the final exam and the professor said "why don't you just stand at the board and write your name and pose? That's what we really want anyway"

ReplyDelete
69. Yes alot of Harvard and yale kids talk about that

ReplyDelete
70. From what I know of the system, it's not like in the US where people analyze the "whole picture" of a student and admit them based on what kind of diversity they can bring to the school

Korean schools seem to admit students based on skills, studying... (and scores)

So if you have a spot taken away after studying to the death, and the person skipped over them totally never having to take that exam, people are totally justified in being angry IMO

ReplyDelete
71. Regular people study and work so hard to get into college, while some idols just breeze in, don't even attend classes regularly and just view a diploma as some sort of status symbol piece of paper like "hey i got a college degree!" even when they barely worked for it. Like, fine, if idols want to take advantage of their special treatment that's up to them. But they shouldn't put on a saintly act and they should be discreet enough not to get caught going back on their words. Their fans believed in them. -_-

ReplyDelete
72. That is terrifying. I already have the worst testing anxiety now I would literally pass out

ReplyDelete
73. Or you know, they want a backup plan if and when their idol career winds down or doesn't pan out?

ReplyDelete
74. I hate her but would probably do the same thing... ekekek humans are all the same.

ReplyDelete
75. I really respect idols who get into college by themselves

ReplyDelete
76. yep, thanks to plastic surgery

http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.com/2013/04/instiz-naeun-got-her-nose-done.html

ReplyDelete
77. She can have that piece of paper, it's still going to come out that she didn't learn anything once she starts working and nobody's treating her special anymore.

ReplyDelete
78. Those are mostly for Ivies and elite private colleges

Even esteemed state colleges nowadays are so impacted they can't afford to turn up a good student just because their parents were rich

ReplyDelete
79. Hence why these kids feel so much pressure and work so hard, that's why people get mad at celebs who get in through special treatment

ReplyDelete
80. That is why peopel fawn over Kim Tae Hee. Honestly she isn't the prettiest actress/idol ever seen (still think Lee Hyori holds the crown, but I digress) and she obviously is not great at acting but people hold her as their ideal type because she went to Seoul University. She's seen as the perfect wife/daughter,etc

ReplyDelete
81. I don't think Eunji is known for being rude - she's frank but not rude

ReplyDelete
82. yup but i'm usually the sane and rational one. sighs

ReplyDelete
83. Right? If she went to some nobody college, no one would care

Dongguk is notorious for taking in entertainers though, they seem to be thirsty for famous students

ReplyDelete
84. I know right, her surgeon must be super talented!

ReplyDelete
85. Idol life gives you 5 years of popularity for a mid-tier group. It's not surprising why lots of idols want a backup plan. Besides, in many Asian countries, going to college is an expected thing. I bet idols' parents want them to go to college no matter what anyway.

ReplyDelete
86. 4. [+84, -3] Can we please just set up a college for celebrities only1

^^AGREE!! That would b hella great for both celebrities and normal hardworking students.

ReplyDelete
87. To avoid hate I think the smarter thing would be to save money for college while they can, and when they finally retire they can go back. At that point they're so old nobody would care

Frankly I don't understand going to college if you're a young idol - you can never go because you're so busy, and you're wasting valuable time when you're a hot commodity as a young and pretty bait for fans

It just seems much more logical to go after you retire, and you're still young then (30s if you last that long)

ReplyDelete
88. Y'all say it like she wasn't pretty before she got her surgery

ReplyDelete
89. This reminds me of that scene in Nice Guy...imagine, you worked so hard to get that seat and it's snatched because you're lesser known.

http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mdk9rp5Ri61r99c4io2_500.gif

ReplyDelete
90. so many naive people KEKEKEKEKE

ReplyDelete
91. i usually roll my eyes at the netizens but I think I understand and agree to a certain extent the anger towards celebrities who get accepted to college through special treatment. it makes sense here in america since they have the holistic approach where extra curricular activities count for every student but in korea, for most students its only grades and the korean sats. so for them to make the exception for idols just doesn't seem fair when it's korean schools the acceptance number is set (once again unlike like american schools)

but then what are idols supposed to do? with the amount of idol groups debuting everyday, i would feel highly uncomfortable if none of them got a college education because they were too busy promoting....

ReplyDelete
92. 4. [+84, -3] Can we please just set up a college for celebrities only

nice idea kkk~

ReplyDelete
93. Wow a slight minor nose job lol. She was still gorgeous before it.

ReplyDelete
94. Lol yes. Poor Taecyeon he looks homeless in that photo

http://mwave.interest.me/enewsworld/en/article/8267/2pms-taecyeon-humiliated-by-his-university-professor

ReplyDelete
95. That's pretty damn funny

ReplyDelete
96. I think this is one of the reasons why there are so many idols, special treatment makes it easier to get into the school you want. Debut and get a little fame, instant ticket to college.

ReplyDelete
97. No... there have been multiple complaints. Actually a lot of Apink members are seen as rude. here are a couple examples

http://kpopkfans.blogspot.ca/2014/02/a-pink-bomi-gets-criticized-for.html

At this rate they won't last very long...

ReplyDelete
98. letting me go~>~&gtFebruary 26, 2014 at 11:23 PM

oh I see. Where I'm from, if you want to apply to university years later post-high school, they don't care for you to take an exam that high-schoolers take. As, it is supposed to asess how how prepared you were at that age/level in education, not any older. So this is different.

ReplyDelete
99. Mm she's not the first one... Eunji and Bomi have been criticized for being rude, etc.

http://kpopkfans.blogspot.ca/2014/02/a-pink-bomi-gets-criticized-for.html

ReplyDelete
100. Wait how do people know she got in through special treatment? Did her company say it or like what?

ReplyDelete
101. do people have goldfish memory or what. dongguk's made explicitly clear it doesn't do special admissions for celebrities, and it was even pointed out last time articles about her and school came up. there's no hard evidence she didn't take her exams aside from people telling each other so.

and regardless, she's studious and from a well-educated family, plus already an actress. people are reaching if they say she's there on no merit of her own.

ReplyDelete
102. I'd understand the K-Netizens anger more if it weren't acting....

From what I know, Korean schools, like a lot of Asian countries' schools, (unless is specifically a performing arts school) doesn't put a large focus onto performing arts, the core subjects are insanely stressed on.
It's not like its a loss for all of Korea that she got in with special treatment..
A lot of people may not agree with me but idk

ReplyDelete
103. she seems love acting a lot but she actually doesn't have that talent.. Hope she can improving through this.. But Get into collage by specially treatment like this is really not fair.

ReplyDelete
104. That's so true. Since the world sucks already who cares if it needs improving or anything, just let people get away with whatever injustice or unfairness is going around (sarcasm)

ReplyDelete
105. So are we saying that Seohyun and Yoona used special treatment to get into Dongguk Uni as well? I'm not tryna be bias, I mean, it would really suck if my spot is taken away because of an idol. But is it really true she got in through special admissions?

ReplyDelete
106. lol. two instances with the bomi thing... i don't know just weird - i don't even see her face in that photo to begin... also the Eunji instance - i saw it and she was just being competitive. Gah. Everyone complains that girl idol members are so boring on variety shows - it's exactly because of instances like this - the minute they try and show an aggressive side, they get labeled as rude and immature.

ReplyDelete
107. If I'm not mistaken, your entrance exams scores are public.

ReplyDelete
108. Not really after Rain... even reputations like hers can be fragile lol

ReplyDelete
109. I'm not defand anyone here. It's jungle out there. Who are 'strong', they will take this world. Unfair? well, It couldn't change anything when we just whinning about it without take an action.

I know it's really frustated. I ever had that kind of experience too in my job test, being cut because not pretty enough and not have more popular parents. Firstly i hate it. Now i move on and even try harder.

ReplyDelete
110. Read the comments! They are saying she did get in through special admissions. tho, Idk about yoona or sooyoung.

ReplyDelete
111. Woah woah wait, in the other article where it said she got accepted into Dongguk netizens said she didn't get in through special treatment and that Dongguk doesn't even offer celebrities special treatment. So which one is it?

http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.com/2013/11/sandeul-and-naeun-get-into-college.html

ReplyDelete
112. Nah because the second she breaks up with Rain she'll bounce right back. Hers is resilient like that

ReplyDelete
113. ahh naeun -_- although I'm a Pink Panda, i am not shielding this shit lol

ReplyDelete
114. most of them are just assuming that she got into this university because she is a celebrity but actually they have no proofs.
they are just plainly mean.

ReplyDelete
115. am i the only one whothinks that they just get celebrities into their universities just for ptomotional reasons and actually this spots are just "empty" spots and in reallity the spots remain the same for the admitted to be students??? and all these commenters come from people who do t study or ttry enough to get in a university??
ps.: no apink whatsoever fan here. just stating a thought..

ReplyDelete
116. True, you never know what might happen in the future

ReplyDelete
117. naw, hater? that photo of bomi was from 2012, it was recently released obviously to make people hate the group, which i think is working quite well. but we'll see if you're right, that they wont last long. many groups have things that are rude, like min posting that racist photo on IG, but did miss A go down the drain? i think not.

ReplyDelete
118. Ah okay, so then did it not show hers or something like that?

ReplyDelete
119. i read em, but i don't see any proof of it. all i see are words, no proof. i thought dongguk is known to not do special treatments. weird.

ReplyDelete
120. i don't know about yoona but

"Dongguk University on Novemeber 5th shared SNSD Seohyun and Yuri have passed the entrance exam for 2010 admittance. Yuri has also passed the exams for ChungAng University and it remains to be seen where she will attend."C

ReplyDelete
121. When it was revealed the first time that she actually got into Dongguk netizens said Dongguk doesn't offer special admissions for celebrities and that she got through her own merits.

ReplyDelete
122. yoona is currently attending dongguk.

ReplyDelete
123. SOPA University. Lol.

ReplyDelete
124. well hello there random people who i share a state with. how you been

ReplyDelete
125. right? what happened to that? :s

ReplyDelete
126. there are tons of idols who got into college with special treatment why are they only bashing her so harshly lmao

ReplyDelete
127. I'm confused, someone needs to do some digging and clear this up

ReplyDelete
128. The thing that makes it worse is that there is a high percentage of depressed teens going around in SK who depend on passing these college exam throughout their lives. Plus why are celebrity's going to colleges anyway,
for jobs- they have good enough income already,
for learning- don't they get tutors and instructor from their companies? for a diploma- I am pretty sure if you have a industry experience in the bag you wont be going around displaying your diplomas.
These are just my thoughts.

ReplyDelete
129. yoona got in the previous year so not sure

ReplyDelete
130. http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.com/2013/11/sandeul-and-naeun-get-into-college.html

2. [+674, -223] Regardless, I'm proud that she didn't get in with special treatment since Dongguk University doesn't have a special admission program ㅋㅋ Work hard on your studies

4. [+60, -33] Dongguk University's acting major doesn't give special treatment to celebrities. They actually deny admission right off the bat if you mention that you are. Kim Hyun Joong introduced himself as an SS501 member and they dropped him on the spot.

What happened to this? :s

ReplyDelete
131. well, in US, rich kids can get into popular uni, but they does not take away other kids' place. There is no quota of how many students the uni should admit. But in Korea, there is quota for every school, thus 1 in means another out

ReplyDelete
132. Again, that was some stupid rumors about Taecyeon, and he didn't get into because 'special treatment'.

ReplyDelete
133. Now I'm wondering what K-Nets have to say about Minzy attending Baekseok University.

ReplyDelete
134. Hmm that is odd. If Dongguk doesn't do special treatment then either she took the exams in secret or they're totally missing something.

ReplyDelete
135. Can Marin even act?? What movie orleans has she been in???

ReplyDelete
136. or just tryna make people hate her/the group.

ReplyDelete
137. It's meant to say or drama sorry

ReplyDelete
138. literally nobody up there offers any proof she got special treatment (which doesn't exist at dongguk anyway). netizens are sensitive about college issues and most celebrities DO get special treatment at other places, they're not going to dig deep for evidence if someone says conclusively she got in unfairly.

ReplyDelete
139. i remember reading one comment saying Naeun should have done what Minzy did

[+1358 -80] As for me, compare to her, Gong Minji who accepted into Baekseok Uni with her own skill is better

ReplyDelete
140. Sooyoung isn't going to Dongguk Uni, she attends Chung Ang Uni

ReplyDelete
141. Yeah it's assumed because of who she is, but Dongguk doesn't do that so maybe these knetz don't know about this...

ReplyDelete
142. Since Dongguk doesn't do special treatment especially in their acting department, I doubt she did. Yeah if Naeun got special treatment then that would mean Seohyun & Yoona also got special treatment which we all know isn't true.

ReplyDelete
143. that's why she's going to study retard

ReplyDelete
144. I have no opinion on her, but I remember seeing her in huh gak's MV "it hurts"

ReplyDelete
145. "Dongguk University on Novemeber 5th shared SNSD Seohyun and Yuri have passed the entrance exam and final evaluation for 2010 admittance. Yuri has also passed the exams for ChungAng University and it remains to be seen where she will attend."

ReplyDelete
146. Like Super Junior's Kyuhyun :-) He rushed from airport to school once he landed after an overseas concert!

ReplyDelete
147. Do we know what major she is going to be in or is she just "attending" the university..?

ReplyDelete
148. But again, what are we to expect celebrities to do if they want an education? This is horrible for those students who have studied their whole lives for college, but it kind of sucks for both sides looking at an educational perspective. Maybe they should just hire tutors instead and be "home schooled"? Does that even exist in South Korea?

ReplyDelete
149. even if it's true that naeun got special treatment, it doesn't mean seohyun and yoona got it too. they could sttill take exams and they really did

ReplyDelete
150. On another note,

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WmqFaC01I3U/Uw62ROt685I/AAAAAAAAsIE/VvSZf0NN8p4/s1600/201402261629271111_2_59_20140226163502.jpg

Is it me or does she look kind of green in this picture..

ReplyDelete
151. Yeah, but what happens when you're older? What job will you get..? Unless you are in the top idols earning alot of money then you won't have to worry, people go to university to secure jobs in the future.

ReplyDelete
152. My bad! I meant seohyun. lol

ReplyDelete
153. idk then! These commenters sound pretty convinced about their info, but who really knows unless university itself clear it up or something.

ReplyDelete
154. Its a atatent 'CAN SHE ACT AT ALL!!!!' there's no point in gong to study or learn if your not cut out for being an actress in the first place! Also it's not nice to call someone a

ReplyDelete
155. probably just the lighting..yea but she seems discolored, she looks neither white nor gray..

ReplyDelete
156. well they retard guy in my class, which consequently rank at the bottom of my class, got accepted into one of the most prestigious medical university in my country. someone i know graded his test and said he answer wrong in almost every question. but then i know his grandpa is a 4 star general. so it just happens everywhere

ReplyDelete
157. True true all the best to the students who got in with special treatment hope u sleep well tonight

ReplyDelete
158. People have been posting how Seohyun got in after passing her exams, no one has yet posted about Yoona passing hers. I'm not tryna hate on yoona (i love yoona/snsd) but I think this is BS. Just people creating hate on the group is what it is.

ReplyDelete
159. 4. [+60, -33] Dongguk University's acting major doesn't give special treatment to celebrities.

her major is in acting, soo

ReplyDelete
160. this person just need someone to blame for his/her failure. period.

ReplyDelete
161. What if they never liked being a celeb? A lot of these idols start young and not many voluntarily. (parents & money)

ReplyDelete
162. "there's no point in getting a degree in anything if you aren't already an expert in your field"

- butterdilys

ReplyDelete
163. Just read that this is the exam WTF?!?!

The test began at 8:40 AM KST and will end at 5:00 PM, with a 50 minute lunch break and a few 20-30 minute breaks in between.

ReplyDelete
164. Just curious but, how do they even know that someone was rejected because of her acceptance? They could have just made extra room for her, knowing that she probably won't be attending classes anyway, but the university still gets to show off that they had a successful celebrity as one of their alum. Seems like win win to me.

ReplyDelete
165. What I want to know is, if a student meets all the qualifications, why wouldn't they let him/her enter? It's just one student more. It's not like they have to make massive adjustments for "students extra". Is she really stealing someone's spot? I mean the reason why universities make it hard to enter is because they are on high demand and thus they cannot let everyone enter, it doesn't necessarily mean "We will let 200 students enter and only 200 hundred, even if more meet the qualifications". They do that with the entrance exams itself, so they do not have to choose who enters and who doesn't, the exam does that.

I mean they are so selective in the entire process to not have to choose between students making it in.

ReplyDelete
166. Korean students have INSANE pressure in their studies. They give up their social life and sleep, to study way more than western students because of the competitive environment and expectations. Their frustration is very understandable to see someone get it just because of good plastic surgery.

ReplyDelete
167. Right, is there really a limit on many students admitted? If there is an exceptional student and a celebrity, why not take both? their not losing anything in this case either way

ReplyDelete
168. I have no problem with celebs securing a skill for future, like AJ from U-kiss, he is in psycology i think. But Naeun is going for acting for i have gathered. So i don't think that is good.

ReplyDelete
169. wait other people dont say that?

ReplyDelete
170. or if you have a family history in that university (in the US)...

ReplyDelete
171. True true so true the only acting experience is on WGM

ReplyDelete
172. But she is going for acting major. If she was doing this to get a non celeb job for future that would be a different case. Even then I would prefer an idol actually studying and going through regular admission process rather than special treatment.

ReplyDelete
173. Exactly, Naeun attending shouldn't make a difference. She is just one student.

The exam is the philter, why would they say she is stealing someone's spot? If she was it wouldn't be her fault, but the university's fault for having that kind of system. "I'm sorry we said we would have 200 spots open and only 200 so someone gotta be out". That's just a really stupid policy in an university. They all have a range from minimum and maximum amount of students. It would be incredibly stupid to have an exact number of spots. They are wasting the potential of a lot of qualified students just because "he/she didn't fit in im sorry try again next time kthxsbye".

ReplyDelete
174. actually know-it-all she's done music videos, a movie, 3 dramas.

ReplyDelete
175. [+343, -38] Naeun: So easy to get into college, am I right???
LMAOOOOO

ReplyDelete
176. choi minho is often mistaken having special treatment. he took exam and passed.

ReplyDelete
177. Gee thanks!!! Sacrimusan

ReplyDelete
178. Why do these special treatment programs exist anyways? Can some please explain?

ReplyDelete
179. stop judging, you dont even know the person...

ReplyDelete
180. So the university's name goes up in articles and gains fame for having person x attend their university; for fame and recognition. It's a stupid policy

ReplyDelete
181. To make themselves smarter. You know how netizens shit on them for being an idiot, but when they attend a college, they still sit on them. There's no point in arguing how bitter and jealous netizens can be. Beside this is acting department we talked about, u don't need ur brain... as long as u have some potential talent, u can get in.

I thought people can get passed on university not only because their brain, but their achievement also... like to honor or something, so they can make the university more famous with their achievement. Seriously though, u can get in on university also because you have the luck. My less smart classmate in high school can attend one of the big name universities here, and I feel so troll... when she said.. she just answers all questions randomly [Since, it was optional answer]. And I won't lie saying that I'm jealous of her and feel so hurt since I failed even after every effort I put for study.

Beside lifespan of being a celebrity is short. They need their diploma to start something when their career as an Idol over. for investment and all.

ReplyDelete
182. Except they don't even bother to attend classes?

ReplyDelete
183. nope that's just NY slang in ohio they say "salty" >.<

ReplyDelete
184. this kind of special treatment programs should been erased from university entrance!!! i, myself, know how it feels when people like this get entrance without having entrance exam first.
If Naeun gets graduate quickly from university, this can be said that she's smart but too lazy to take entrance exams, but if she won't well yeah the answer is definetly all of you know.

ReplyDelete
185. Calm down. Do you really mean we should have been born as a doctor first, so we can take medical degree? Seriously, it's not because I defend Na Eun, but you go to school because you want to study or you're interested in the major, not because you've already been an expert, unless she was born with skill. Then I guess her mama should have taught her how to act in the womb *standing ovation

187. minzy took her exams :)

ReplyDelete
188. What I want to know, is she really taking someone's spot?

Because that would be fucking stupid not of her, but the university.

ReplyDelete
189. Yeah, I know she took an exam for her GED. Just wondering if K-Netz knew about it before they go bashing her like they are with poor Naeun.
