'IAC' PD denies rumors of a ban list

Article: 'IAC' PD "Ban list for not attending? Unfounded rumors"

Source:
Star News via Nate [Naver]

"It's not true at all about placing idol groups who couldn't attend the 'IAC' on a ban list. From the perspective of a producer, it'd be great if as many singers could come as possible so I admit it was disappointing to hear that some couldn't make it. We've never banned them for that, however. It is true that we did check whether or not they had a concert, CF filming, or other schedule to see if they could make the recording. Nobody told us a fake schedule to get out of it and we definitely never placed anyone on a ban for refusing to come."

1. [+87, -2] What kind of PD would sit there and admit, "Yeah, we have a ban list" ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+49, -3] Idols are busy enough as it is without having to be forced to run hurdles or sprints. Just let them do something useful like practice their singing. Why do they insist on holding this so frequently when no one even cares?

3. [+22, -2] Wow... They basically admitted to checking each of their schedules ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I can imagine the idols being forced to attend when they don't want to, especially with all of the injuries

-

1. [+235, -19] Idols and fans alike were basically locked in the gym for 22 hours of recording... They put the idols through all that suffering to give them a few crappy minutes of screen time

2. [+219, -13] Well I guess they just won't let them on Music Core if they feel that disappointed about it

3. [+191, -13] I really don't know why they're continuing with this program

4. [+148, -12] For the amount of idols and production costs/time invested, the show is a tragedy.

5. [+131, -15] Can someone place this PD on a ban list

6. [+113, -20] How about you go and ban T-ara

7. [+104, -13] ㅋㅋㅋ Am I the only one creeped out by the fact that they went through each idols' schedule to check what they had? If an idol says they can't make it, then they can't make it... Why go and check that? That's so creepy...

8. [+85, -11] Even if they don't have a ban list, it's obvious the producers aren't going to see them the same way anymore

  1. And we're suppose to be believe them? They're the ones making idols stay up for 22 hours just to film and then only show 2hr worth of footage anyways...and also admitting that they went ahead and lurked others schedule just makes it even more sketchy.

  2. Backtracking at its finest. LOL

  3. It's common knowledge that all three channels will not let artists from small companies perform on their music shows if they refuse to appear on their varieties. Why would it be any different for MBC's IAC?

  4. NB can you update us with how Knetizens respond to SISTAR19 comeback? I'm more interested in that thank you. This article is not bad as it shed light on idol issues though.

  7. Most of the PD's like radio and music shows have Ban list.
We all know who's on that list....

  8. i believe if they explained to MBC beforehand they had other schedules that they really HAD to attend MBC won't force them to stay for the whole 22 hours. KARA was only there for a few hours because they had to go to Japan

  9. Responses are still divided, I'd give it another day before any best replies solidify... So far, people sound annoyed with Brave Brothers and for the song being another rehash of their past songs. Please make requests through email next time. I schedule posts so I don't always check the comments when I'm not around.

  10. Same response as the first time. People think Kang Ho Dong has either lost his touch or his image doesn't fit with a 'book talk show' since he's known for being loud/physical. Please make requests through email next time. I schedule posts so I don't always check the comments when I'm not around.

  11. from a few fanaccs, the people who stayed the whole 22 hours forcibly were the fans...the idols got to come and go as they pleased...they were given tons of breaks and eating time but the fans only had few and far in between short bathroom breaks

  12. sorry and thank you! You're the best!

  13. There was barely any games.... I would have enjoyed this if let's say there was a male and female football matches and swimming too but this just idols racing. Why would you sacrifice the idol Dance Battle to make more room and budget for this...

  14. i've read fanaccounts saying that the news was exaggerated? the one who r being locked in the gym are the fans. idols are allowed to in and out the gym and their break time is long which is why it took longer time to record all events.

  17. Let me put this into perspective. Let's pretend someone got banned and then actually spoke out about it. Don't you think MBC would do everything they could to make it worse as punishment? So no one dare to speak up.
Now, i can't say whether or not this ban is true due to media conflict, but it seems there's no way out for the artist.

  18. The only one, from what I heard, that left early was Infinite's L, but that's only because he was sick. At least they were nice to let him go...... 22 hours is too damn much especially when some of the idols that were there had busy schedules the next day/within the next few hours after.

  19. I don't they they should be allowed to check, if a group or their manager says NO, then that should be reason enough. Why do they have to justify or prove that they got something else to do? Is this like a kindergarden?

  20. They are right, MOGEF should bann them from appearing in Korea, for the greater good.
