The language barrier has the potential to make this whole world version so awkward. Even if they speak the same language differing levels of fluency can make conversation extremely difficult. This show is awkward enough when they're just throwing random strangers together.

Yes!!! THE BEST!And there wasn't any idol in that season, well only Kim Hyun Joong but him and Hwangbo were perfect.

The best days with this show is long gone, and many faithful fans has grown frustrated with the show. Honestly, the show's last decent season was the one that involved Adam's Couple, YongSeo, and KhunToria. WGM had an amazing run from the original couples (which I still love and ship so much like AnSol and Ant Couple) but seriously...this program needs to be put to the tv variety show graveyard.

ReplyDeleteClearly you only got into the show when the rest of Korea stopped watching. When it started out, it was at its best now it has just become tedious & purely made just to attract each participants own fans instead of trying to appeal to the audience as a whole.

ReplyDeleteThe first season of WGM was the best and most popular in Korea. The pairs were made with nothing but pure entertainment in mind. It wasn't really a strictly promotional thing that WGM sadly has become now.
ReplyDeleteThe only idols were Andy and Kim Hyun Joong.
However, due to the show KHJ became super popular (it's how he even was considered for his BOF role) and seeing what WGM did to his career, other entertainment companies started forcing their own idols onto it in order to help them become more popular as well.
The show, and interest in it among the Korean general public, started to die when idols like Kangin, Taeyeon, and Son DamBi started filing in.
