Heechul shares pictures of his new job as a public service radio DJ

Article: 'Public Service' Kim Heechul, whereabouts as a radio DJ revealed 'otaku proof'

Source: Mydaily via Naver

1. [+160, -8] Journalist has to be an anti ㅋㅋ Totally emphasizing 'public service' in the title ㅋㅋ

2. [+120, -20] As if public service soldiers weren't getting enough sh*t already, look at him smear poop all over their image again

3. [+94, -17] This is really too much... Serving as public service basically means doing secretarial work for civic service offices... How does running a radio show help out in any way?

4. [+94, -22] The best advice for any celebrity in public service is to just shut up

5. [+61, -13] His cell phone.... I don't even know what to say anymore because the journalist is obviously calling him out on it already.

6. [+57, -10] He had to have uploaded this knowing it would receive this response...

7. [+46, -10] Any celebrity in public service that keeps his mouth shut and completely out of the public's eye still gets hated on upon discharge but this fool is just asking for it, isn't he?

Article: 'Public Service' Kim Heechul, whereabouts as a radio DJ revealed 'otaku proof'

Source: Mydaily via Nate

1. [+235, -39] This guy has got to be out of his mind... What the hell is he even doing? Isn't this basically neglect of duty?

2. [+157, -17] Celebrity staff member

3. [+181, -59] What a disgust... As if serving in public service is anything to be proud of, especially with a fully functioning body like his..

4. [+25, -6] Wait, Kim Heechul is serving in the army? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ This is news of the century to me ㅋㅋㅋ I always see him hanging out and doing promotional stuff so I thought he wasn't serving yet ㅋㅋ

5. [+24, -6] Oh my, look how much help he is being to our country's military. Sooooo~~~~~~ helpful~~~

6. [+23, -5] While others are losing sleep and rolling around in the dirt to protect their country, this ba$tard is sitting around playing otaku with a fu*king pillow.

7. [+15, -13] In 2006, Kim Heechul was in a huge car accident that crushed his femoral bone. He had to get metal pins implanted into his collarbone along with other surgeries. You think he's just lying to get out of service? His x-rays were already released on an SBS program. While I do get that celebrities who purposely evade service should be hated, it isn't fair for the celebrities who get put in public service for legit reasons.
- What the fu*k, I was hospitalized for 12 weeks with metal pin implants but I still served as active duty. Did the law chance since then?
- How does he dance with all those metal pins then
- Then he should shut the fu*k up and finish his service quietly, no one would even give a sh*t about him then. He's always putting himself out there like he's craving attention and hate.
- I also remember he brought his metal pin to some old program Kang Ho Dong used to do to prove himself in case people didn't believe him
- Idiot, he gets hated on because he takes selcas and goes on outings every day, not because he's public service
- I got spinal stenosis in the army and drilled two lumps of metal the size of baseballs into my body to finish service in the frontlines in Munsan. All I'm saying is that there are a lot of excuses you can make but realize that there are just as many different outcomes that are also possible.

8. [+6, -3] I can see why Kim Heechul received a level 4 on his exam now. With his apparent lack of brains, he would've been a nuisance to the frontlines if he had actually been placed in active duty.

  2. I love heechul but Why in the world with the upload these pictures. Especially with all the negativity around. It's like A give me To bash on him. I wonder if he uploaded these pictures himself or someone from the radio broadcast uploaded it.

  5. The Journalist HAS TO BE AN ANTI... NO other way about this?
Heechul must of pissed him off before.

  6. With all the fuss in korea about how celebs get special treatments in the army while normal korean males literally go through hell during their service idek why heechul does this shit. All this does is make people hate him more than they already did or associate his name with "Celebs who get a star treatment and brag about it".

Dude was never smart but damn he seems desperate for fan attention rn and it's backfiring

  7. If you stay quiet as a public service serving celebrity you get hated on on discharge if you don't you still get hated on, so he should live freely since either way he's still going to be hated on at the end of he day......

    no shame at all

  10. "How does he dance with all those metal pins then" He doesn't

  11. He never actually uploaded the pictures right? I had thought he just took the selcas while he was doing his radio show and never uploaded them because he essentially quit all his sms stuff while he's been serving.

Or if he did upload them can someone link me the selcas?

Side note though, if he's going to get hated I think it should be for that hat o_o

  12. he's not celebrity soldier, he's a public service worker..

    ReplyDelete
  13. He didn't. Heechul closed his Twitter acc when he enlisted. I am not sure about weibo, but he never (from what I know) uploaded a picture about this. This is clearly a Screencap from the live of the radio show.

  14. To be fair, the radio DJ gig is just 1 or 2 hours every Friday. The rest of the time, he has a desk job in some government office. The first time around that he got the DJ gig last year, he voluntarily stepped down when he thought he was getting too much attention for it 'cause fans found out and it became almost like his old radio DJ gigs back then. I have no idea why he was assigned the DJ gig again, but then again, it's not like he can turn it down.

Maybe if the radio show didn't have bora (video stream) then it wouldn't attract as much attention. Other celebs who've done public service also served as radio DJ's, but Heechul gets too much attention from it 'cause all his fans publicize it so much.

  15. Ok yeah I was pretty sure I wouldn't have missed him resurfacing after a year and a half with nothing. I just wasn't sure if the article was trying to refer to something else, where he'd actually posted it, but it doesn't seem like it :/

    ReplyDelete
  16. Since he enlisted, he cut down on Twitter a lot. He quit and deactivated his account in his birthday last year. He started a Weibo recently, but he doesn't update much at all. All the pics he has since then are from people around him who upload on their own.

  17. I didn't say he's a celebrity soldier, I said he's a celebrity doing public service.....

  18. suju already in bad terms in korea, heechul making it worse

    ReplyDelete
  19. I mean he had the radio show on for a while and he doesn't promote so idk what they meant by saying he promoted. :/ Just wanted to point out that since the car accident Heechul couldn't dance, like watch preformances and see for yourself. He does the hand movments but thats about it. They must have had a slow news day to pull this out of the cabnet.

  20. The government is at it again.

    ReplyDelete
  21. he didnot share the pictures, fans does

    ReplyDelete
  22. These are screencaps of the show though, and Heechul doesn't use SNS right now. What is the netizens issue??? And besides, it wasn't just his femur which was broken but his entire leg. And he's been quiet for his enlistment so...

    ReplyDelete
  23. I know, news must be slow lately, lol. And its obvious how little Heechul can dance in No Other, he barely does the leg work and doesn't do any floor work at all.

    ReplyDelete
  24. He didn't upload the selca anywhere, It was just a screencaps from the bora shared by fans.
He deleted his twitter last year, he rarely update his weibo or any sns account.
    Chill out, haters.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Keep talking, chatting and claiming about him as much as you want because he just don't care, he live the way he like =))) at least have someone to do this (his) job for all of you - the antis have something to chat about, right? he is helping your duty =)))) keyboard heros

    ReplyDelete
  26. Did he stop performing with Suju before he left, and is he not going to dance after he comes back? How will he re-join the group if he can't perform?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Don't hate on the Teemo hat.

    ReplyDelete
  28. He pretends to dance by wiggling a little.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Watch any performance post 2007 and you can see Heechul half-assing the dance steps because a) he doesn't give a shit, and b) he physically can't do some of them. Any dance step that requires bending his knees, he hardly ever does. He gets by with crouching. And doing the hand steps.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Leeteuk still gets most of the netizens' anger anyway, even before he enlisted. Heechul's just half a year from finishing his military service and is only now being criticized for something. He's been pretty quiet for the most part.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Why doesn't he just switch to another aspect of the entertainment business then?

    ReplyDelete
  32. He wanted to leave after 3jib that's why he barely appeared in Sorry, Sorry. He did talk about this before. And even though he promoted No Other with them, he barely appears for album promotions. He probably only goes on music shows with them so that their performance on stage doesn't look so empty.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I dunno. Loyalty to the group, I guess. Same as Siwon. Both of them can leave the group any time they want. They don't need to be in the group. They're famous and popular enough to pursue whatever aspect of the entertainment business they want.

But yeah, Heechul did say he really wasn't supposed to join the "Sorry Sorry" promotions in 2009. He just wanted to start over as an actor like he used to, and SM even gave him permission to do so. But then in the end, he still chose to be in the group when he saw that the other guys still kept a place for him in their choreography, even if no one knew if he was going to show up or not.

  34. -he doesn't dance.... look at any performance after the accident
-the radio DJ job is just on Friday (1/2 hours)....the rest of the time, he has a desk job in some government office.
    - he just took the selcas while he was doing his radio show and never uploaded them, he has closed his twitter account already....this is clearly the screencap from the live of the radio show....
-not only metal pins but his entire leg was broken.... if he couldn't dance on stage, do u think he manage to serve as active duty??.... if he do serve as active duty, the next article will be about his death n afterwards netizens will bash the K-gov..

people bashed without thinking, it's true tht haters gonna hate...

    ReplyDelete
  35. He never uploaded them. To me fair, I've noticed that his face is always covered with a hat when some other SJ members do take a pic at things like one of the member's birthday celebration so he's been trying to stay out of the spotlight

    ReplyDelete
  36. they are not leaving because they needs elf to watch their dramas or shows. If they leave the group, they will just become irrelevant like Kibum . They are just being smart.

    ReplyDelete
  37. He plays League of Legends a lot.
I want to play ranked duo with him lol.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Siwon and Heechul have the most non-ELF fans though. They have many fans that don't care about the group. Heechul won over many of his fans through his years in variety shows and some dramas. Siwon won over many fans through his dramas as well. Kibum is irrelevant 'cause he was MIA just when Super Junior hit the big time.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Heeeey. He didn't upload those. I stalk his weibo; dude never updates. In fact, he deleted his twitter.

    ReplyDelete
  40. lol no! Kibum was the most popular member when he left. He was at his highest peak.

So you mean since hyoyeon has the most non-sone fans. She will survive solo? I don't think so.

Siwon doesn't have the biggest fanbase in Korea Heechul, Eunhyuk and Leeteuk does.
I think Siwon can survive on China but not Korea and I don't think he can rely on China all his life since those are also c-elfs.
Heechul might be popular in Korea. he can do DJ and all but he won't survive in the acting department much.

Overall, They will still need the support of ELF so if they will leave, they will just risk their career.

  41. Not to mention that the title is "Heechul shares pictures" while he never did it. Those pictures are just caps made by someone else. We haven't got any pictures directly from him since a very very long time.

    ReplyDelete
  42. What I find funny is that he was often criticized for his lack of energy when he was dancing with Super Junior, but now they are saying why is he a public soldier if he was able to dance suju's choregraphies : well, he could'nt. The irony.

I do understand why people are pissed, honestly I think the army shouldn't give him that job, but to be fair, it's only 1h/week and he has DJ skills so I understand why they chose him. Not to mention that he isn't the only one doing it, there is other non celebrities and also HwanHee, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, I guess Heechul doesn't give a shit about angry people on the internet, so if they want to hate him, let them talk.

    ReplyDelete
  43. He did not upload any pictures. Those are captures from fans/journalists, isn't it obvious ?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I always thought Heechul was smart.

He is not desperate for attention because he is not the one who uploaded the pictures nor he is the one who asked about the DJ job, from all we know. The army administration probably picked him because he is a good DJ, and even so he is not the only one doing it, there are other non celebrities and also HwanHee.

    ReplyDelete
  45. the pictures (screencaps?) are of him taking a picture, not the actual pictures he took...lol

    ReplyDelete
  46. THIS. so much. his twitter is gone too ):

    ReplyDelete
  47. sometimes, people need to have some sense.

    ReplyDelete
  48. lol that's what i love about Kim Heechul, compared to other celebrities who always apologize even when they did nothing wrong, he never cared about k-netizens's opinions !
that's the way to do it Heechul, let them bash you, it's not like it will change anything ^^

    ReplyDelete
  49. stop it already ! aren't you tired to bash on people you don't know ?

    ReplyDelete
  50. OMG your opinion will certainly devastate him ! lol

    ReplyDelete
  51. lol Heechul's way : "screw you netizens !!"

    ReplyDelete
  52. I like Heechul a lot but I don't follow his news. As a casual fan, I thought he was pretty quiet from my point of view, it's not like he is making the news every week.

On a side note, those pictures are pretty funny. He hasn't lost his weird personality from what I see.
