Sunhwa: "I think Kwanghee oppa really likes me. He confessed his feelings to me when cameras weren't rolling. We've been keeping in contact for a while, but one day he gave me a couple cellphone but I didn't take it because I thought it was pressuring. Oppa is approaching me with honesty, but I have a limit. When I asked him why he was doing this, he said, 'Because I like you.' He then asked me if I still thought of him as a friend and I told him that I only considered him a friend. He said back, 'Okay, I won't rush things.'"
Netizens felt that this was kind of disrespectful to Kwanghee since it was obviously a private matter that happened off camera and Kwanghee would've revealed it himself if he wanted to make it public on TV.

She just sounds do arrogant and bragging about a really warm hearted person trying to show affection towards her and her rejection towards thAt. That's insensitive of her, if Kwanghee is serious that's belittling his feelings, and he'll be hurt for sure. I wonder if it will affect how they appear on the show, with other couples on the show you could definitely tell when they weren't that enamoured of each other any more.

ReplyDeleteHere's an alternate, equally plausible explanation (as opposed to the butthurt fangirl view): Kwanghee is an insufferable douchebag in real life, and Sunhwa is just trying to get him off her back without breaking her contract or taking out a restraining order. I'm not saying I think that's the case, just that it's *possible*.

ReplyDeleteI stopped watching WGM for a while;; I'm getting sick of Kwanghee-Sunhwa altho they are really funny but I think it's just too obvious Sunhwa doesn't like Kwanghee at all to be her 'husband' and that she is just 'forced'. But there are instances that other scenes are natural. Honestly, I watched WGM again becoz of Kwanghee, and now this article comes up, I dont know if I shud continue to watch WGM again... I think I'll watch the other couples instead...
