In Hara's defense, she has a very nice figure since her waist is so small. She just happens to be very tiny. I don't know about anyone else but the minute I saw this picture ( http://static.allkpop.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/20120223_goohara_1.jpg ) I never saw Hara quite the same way again o_o

ReplyDeleteIt's always a compliment if someone wants to buy the product you're endorsing just because you're on the label. They just said "want a drink" because the product Hyori is advertising is soju—an alcoholic drink.
If she were endorsing something like chicken, the reply would probably say: "Lee Hyori is the best chicken CF model hands down. Just looking at her ad made me want to eat a chicken, she just has that kind of charm."

ReplyDeleteNot gonna lie... I LOLed really hard. :x I find it hilarious that it takes three relatively popular idols to fill Lee Hyori's shoes.
What made Hyori popular as a soju model was a combination of her image and personality. She is sexy and charming, but also possesses a laid-back personality that makes her seem like you could sit down and drink soju with her. Because of that, she was the perfect model.
I can't imagine Hyorin endorsing alcohol at all... Hyuna would probably make a CF or ad look something like her "Ice Cream" CF (which is pretty much seen as completely tasteless)... and Hara... I'm not entirely sure what her image is like, but she looks like she's still in high school. Might be awkward.
#5 seems to be the voice of reason here. Netizens act as though Hara committed a crime. And I have to disagree with #1. Hyorin is sexy, sexy, sexy and Hara is cute. Hyuna is cute AND sexy. I think they'll do an amazing job for the CF in that they can appeal to a wider demographic.

None of these choices are great, but if I had to choose between any of them, it'd be Hyorin. I wouldn't want to see Hyuna's open mouthed poses all over the place and well, I still don't understand why people find Hara attractive, but that's just me.

ReplyDeleteHm, I think Hyorin will do well as a soju model. She has that type of luxurious feel to her. I'm not sure about Hyuna and Hara: both are totally gorgeous, but not quiet as (I dunno) luxurious? as Hyorin and Hyori, in my opinion;;

ReplyDeleteI don't know, I think Hyorin would match the image fairly well...she's no Lee Hyori, but she has a "glamorous" figure and a nice smile, so I think she could pull off the CF.
