Jang Dong Gun defends BoA calling him the new maknae of SM Entertainment
In an earlier article, BoA got some flak for calling Jang Dong Gun SM Entertainment's new maknae.
In his latest interview with Newsen, Jang Dong Gun defended BoA by saying, "I did see her say that on TV. I think she just said it as a joke, but people reacted to it quite differently from what I thought. Personally, I've known BoA since she was a sixth grader so I could tell she just said it to be funny. I hope that people don't take it too seriously. Just think of it as something cute."

1. [+123, -20] BoA didn't even bring it up first. The reporter asked a question about rankings and said that Jang Dong Gun must be the maknae now and BoA just laughed and replied to that. It wouldn't have made sense for her to have put on a serious face and call her out on it. It's the reporter's fault for asking such a question in the first place.
