ReplyDeletePSY didn't advance for his "stupidity", he advanced for his CREATIVITY. If it weren't for the fact that PSY basically made the song and dance by himself, Gangnam Style would've never been as successful as it is now.
HyunA doesn't have nearly enough of the song writing, creative directing, or any other important skills that PSY has. So I don't see how she could even think she has a chance in the U.S.
Psy advanced for his comedic ability. Be realistic here. People aren't gung ho fascinated by his "skil" nor thr song or his "creativity" because the sound is generic and the MV is not something never before done. Its catchy and funny and people like the dance more than anything else.

I'm sick of Kpop fans not understanding this. Do you know how many ppl have as a result of Psy have decided to check out his other hits. This is not because he is funny but because they are impressed with his performance/song writing/ rapping abilities. If Psy couldn't pull off GS live then he wouldn't have been invited too all those shows all over the world to perform live which is what helped the song spread and remain on top.

Then she sings it live and...all you hear is background music and no voice (also remember, mic quality in the states is better than in Korea so it will pick up if she's singing or not). Hyuna will flop with the live singing and as a result will NOT be invited to shows such as the Ellen show, Today Show, Xfactor etc and thus her fame will end quick. The American press are relentless when it comes to judging singing/live performance abilities soo I seriously fear for Hyuna (we saw what was said about her at KCON...).
I'd love to see Hyuna over racists people like Taeyeon.

ReplyDeleteUm, comedic ability is a skill. And PSY's ability to make his own songs and dance routines obviously rely on his skills. That's pretty much my whole point, so how is that not realistic?
Because of PSY's skills he was able to create Gangnam Style. It doesn't matter if people just think PSY and GS is fun, it was his skills that made GS fun in the first place.
