2. [+288, -48] Let's talk after we've gotten rid of T-ara
3. [+215, -40] Music programs aren't porn so why do we have to feel embarrassed watching them with our families?... There needs to be a limit with the choreography

netizen1 A+
ReplyDeleteI rather agree. The music broadcasts are public, and when I watch them, I wouldn't want to be embarrassed at the sight. I agree on artistic freedom and everything, but not when it's expressed on public television for everyone to see, whether or not they actually want to.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, Kara's outfit isn't even that bad. I've seen a lot worse before. Their dance isn't sexually suggestive either.
ReplyDeleteSecret on the other hand... The leg spreading w/ the tiny shorts is too much. They should just cut that part out for live performances. -.-
Forever laughing at the T-ara hate. I hope T-ara makes a comeback soon to piss those netizens off even more. It would be wondrous if Big Bang makes a comeback at the same time. Netizen rage explosion. ^.^
ia, secret's spread leg dance isn't pretty. even they know they do it to be sexually suggestive!
ReplyDeleteanything to do with gyrating and pussy popping just aint pretty!
Forever loving the merciless T-ara hate from netizens. I hope T-ara make another comeback so that there will be more chances of them being egged or more Hwayoung cheers in their performances, one is not enough tbh.
ReplyDelete.....it's not even bad
ReplyDeleteAnon "September 30, 2012 12:43 AM"
ReplyDeleteT-ara has never been egged, and no one cheered for Hwayoung when T-ara performed except for 2-3 people (XD) on ONE performance, and T-ara didn't hear it anyway (lol). Try again :)
Kara choreo or outfit is still alright....We seen worse than that.... but Secret....it just embarrassing...sometimes it looks disgusting....I can't even watch by myself how can I watch with my family...
ReplyDeleteI have no problems with KARA and thank netizenbuzz for not using the caps of Secret dance...I don't think I can watch it anymore...
ReplyDeleteWhy does all k-pop have to be family friendly anyway. Can't they have an 'adults only' category so bands like this can do their thing without having to pander to the moral conservatism of a bunch of ninnies?
ReplyDeleteAlso LOL at the T-ara hate creeping in everywhere. They sure made an impact. Love or hate 'em, netizens just can't ignore 'em, in the meantime T-ara is apologising all the way to the bank.
if you look at the past posts by Netizenbuzz, he/she has already explained the significance of these music programs.
DeleteEspecially so for family w/o cable TV, they don't have much options of TV channels to watch, so they have to watch this. It's either watch TV or don't watch TV for them..
And the significance of Chuseok, it's a family gathering. Means everyone may sit around the TV to watch stuffs together as family bonding.. and see this...
It have nothing to do with conservatism. Would you really be ok with watching secret's spread me dance near your family/little siblings/parents? It's awkward like fuck.
DeleteI think there nothing wrong with kara...they just showing their back for a few seconds n yes they wearing shorts but at least kara dose not spread their leg like secret n after school...
ReplyDeleteMy little sister was o_O with the Kara dance tbh.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you shouldn't let her watch it then?
DeleteSecret's dance looks very cheap... the are getting worse with each comeback.
ReplyDeleteI dont find Kara's dance to be embarrassing.... I actually like it... it is sexy n classy
ReplyDeletebut I do find Secret's 'spread leg' dance to be a little uncomfortable to watch though...
I love the t-ara hate.
ReplyDeleteI don't need to try pressed Queen's. K-netizens are doing the hating T-ara anyways. ^^
ReplyDeleteAnonymous "September 30, 2012 1:01 AM"
ReplyDeletelol if the screaming of Hwayoung at T-ara's performance is not severe, Music Core wont mute the fans reaction at their yesterday performance cause from the fancam says differently. XD
even the fanchants cant be heard from yesterday performance.
Sorry, but I love Secret's performance. I think the choreo is great and they rock it. Really, a song is only what, 3 or 4 minutes? If you are so uncomfortable change the channel for that short time lol. Or go get a snack. Something.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of a music scene being family friendly all the time and taking not even the smallest risks (like Kara, I can't believe people complain about that!) sounds so.....boring.
The site creator said before, these people have to wath I with their families like little sisters, brothers, or even parents unlike foreign fans who can ignore it if they want. Yeah let watch Secret do the spread leg dances with your mom and dad......
DeleteAgreed, first step for a clean show is to get rid of T-ara. Second step is getting rid of Secret's spread leg dance move.
ReplyDeleteRe: Anonymous September 30, 2012 3:00 AM
ReplyDeleteMost if not all the performances had muted cheers on Music Core this week. Flop comment. Bye!
Secret girls look like cheap sl*ts dancing.
ReplyDeleteK-netizens are fucking bunch of bullies. they claim that bullying should abolished but look at them cyber bullying t-ara!! this article aint about t-ara but rather its about kara and Secret!! Then again netizens are still bashing on t-ara!! When artists/idols(GD) said one and did another(according to Netizens, no offense to GD) Netizens claimed that to be a double standard but look that them doing it themselves!! They claim that they hate bullies but what are they doing now??? How are they not bullies when they are cyber bulling T-ara like this??? k-Netizens are the ones with double standard and they are so doubled faced!! Key-board warriors....get over it already and just defend your Kara and secret!! Dont bother and drag ppl into this when they are not related in this matter!!
ReplyDeleteYou were saying death threat a few weeks ago. You are no better.
DeleteBOTH groups have terrible concepts... Music programs have to be family friendly as they are broadcasted to the whole nation to watch. Honestly girl groups are getting more and more disgusting.
ReplyDeleteFuck every fucking slut shaming person here. Smdh. Does anyone remember Raina? Their dance was a lot more suggestive than Secrets'. Not that it even matters.
ReplyDeleteWhen boy groups stop ripping their shirts and kissing on stage i'll be happy
ReplyDeleteFucking double standards eh?
I don't think boy groups are allowed to rip shirts off on music shows either..... Except mnet cos it's cable or sth?
ReplyDeleteBoy groups were banned from ripping their shirts on public broadcast TWO YEARS AGO, so the double standard argument is invalid, and they get just as much flack for their overly suggestive dance choreo and have to change all the time as well.
ReplyDelete2Pm et al got MAJOR flack for it and it was banned. Boa got flack as well. I don't get why it's wrong not to have a show rated 15yr NOT to have some young girl or guys half-clothed crotch on the screen, this isn't rocket science that people would be disturbed by these images on these programs.
The audiences allowed into these music shows are even younger. 90% of the fans that attend music shows are 12-18 yrs old roughly. At that age parents are well within their rights to demand that a public station adhere to general moral code in the performances they broadcast live in front of these children/teens.
Secret and many other of these groups' choreography is absolutely unbearable. It would be A LOT different if this was their own personal artistic expression, it's not though, with many of these groups members saying they themselves feel uncomfortable with some of the concepts they are contractually obligated to promote. So if the public/taxpayers/etc don't at least attempt to fix the situation, who will?
Re Rania, you will find that they promoted heavily on cable networks and had to change parts of their choreo for the major networks. They also received PLENTY of flack for their overly sexy choreo with minors in the group.
Having a moral compass and slut shaming are different things. And it is not wrong for a parent of even a teen to want publicly broadcast DAYTIME music programs to fit a certain level of decency considering their tax dollars pay to broadcast the bloody show. The same exact things happen on broadcast stations the world over.
I like this comment ... crotch move not my taste either .... for both sex.
DeleteI agree. Plus who are the ones who love those crotch shots. It's none other than the male fans. I just watched their live performance and the cameraman made sooo many crotch shots.
DeleteSmartest comment on this article.
DeleteI do understand the leg spread thing is kinda uncomfortable to watch for some people as you can almost see their vaginas but its as easy as changing the channel when you hear they say theyll perform the song... in my case, i like the song only so i just play the cd version... i personally dont understand why concepts has to be that extreme... months ago, I wanted to hit someone cuz I couldnt bear Secret's super aegyo and now i'm seeing their vaginas all over my screen because "theyre sexy now"? O__O bipolarity... :S
ReplyDeletewhat bugs me are the double standards...! when boy groups start crotch grabbing on stage I hardly see anyone complaining. if we're going to complain or ban lets do it fairly.
Frankly I don't like the crotch-grabbing of the boy groups. In fact i hate it. I see it as a cheap trick by the management.
DeleteI guess it's to appeal to those young fangirls who see nothing but their oppa, oppa, oppa.
I think KARA's somewhat sexy, but yeah... it's probably awkward to watch around family XDDD
ReplyDeletesecret's on the other hand is bit exaggerated (?), mosts of these dances are very sexualized, but.... this is just an ooooooooooooold practice in the pop industry- so bleh
KARA's is okay i think. i don't feel it's awkward to watch with family. SECRET's one is awkward though.
ReplyDeleteYou can see men without shirts and doing sexy dances, but you see women and its porn , what a bunch of hypocrites
ReplyDeleteHun, male and female bodies are different. Female bodies have always been portrayed as 'more sacred/secretive'. So a direct comparison is weak.
DeleteHowever I get your drift. but anyway ripping of shirt is banned so double standard is not a valid point now
thank you 10:18 anon! gives me hope that there are actually k-pop fans with brains out there
ReplyDeleteMore camel toe close up please!
ReplyDeleteLol not enjoyable to watch? I sure do enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteSecret is looking cheap, a contrast to their usual sassy sexiness. The dance is just a cheap way of getting attention and I'm pretty disappointed. That is why I'm not going to defend them too much about 'artistic freedom/expression' because this is not the case. Much like with rookies and nugus, a gimmick was played here by TS to gain attention (negative by a lot, with the other half preaching double standards and 'when your oppars do this you LUUUURRRVVVEE it'). The dance definitely did not have to be suggestive to that extent to effectively spread the message of the song, and they know that. Cheap gimmick indeed. =.=
ReplyDeleteAnon who replied to me... lol, you go there stating to bash me when bashing t-ara wasnt enough. I never said those words to you, Netbuzz or either of the users here.. it was for those netizens who bashed T-ara and dont make me start, please!! Signing death petitions and sendin' them to idols, writing them letters to commit suicide isnt our culture and we have never practiced that. About those K-netizens who had/have negative comments to T-ara or any idols, I'm not embarrassed of myself for saying that to Netizens in past and if time comes then I will gladly say that again..
ReplyDeleteAnd you are worse then me..doubled standard like those netizens!! From the beginning, I was bad guy when it came to t-ara's article. I did every thing to defend them even if it was wrong in your dictionary.. When i tired to protect the ones i respect, you go bashing me and when it's about the people you respect, "thought it's some how uncomfortable, but I still love their music" ... Defending some1 you respect isnt wrong!! Double standard looser. Look I'm a bad person, go bash me because you all are pure and innocent ones who has always cyber bullied T-ara!!!
tl;dr you're still a hypocrite, you are no better than them
DeleteCan't believe people complaning about the Secret dance, get a life. It's just a dance. Would I be comfortable watching this with my parents? THAT'S A BIG FUCKING YES! It's really not that bad, not much difference to what Elvis was doing in the 1950s... we censored him back then, I thought society had grown up since then - I guess not. I guess some of us are still a bunch of conservative fuckbrains like we were back then.
ReplyDeleteKARA is interesting. They are often seen as balancing on the limits, though they have never been revealing anything crucial. Bellybutton? Legs? Big deal. That's how it was already 80 years ago in Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteI think the scandalous element here is that some girl groups succeed to be sexy without going nude. To performers, choreographers and designers it's an art form. Every Newsen article of KARA is an amusing testimony of how effective it can be.
Fuck Korean netizens.
ReplyDeleteI'm fucking better then you and them... "And there you go deciding things for me when I didnt ask and demand". Better next time!! And if you got enough guts then put your real name or id then bash!! Unlike you who is hiding behind your pc with a fake name, at the least I'm strong enough to bash and tell who I'm!! "Hypocrite"... A gutless netizens is saying this to me. I LOL'ED!!
ReplyDeleteYou sent death threats. You are no better than them.
DeleteIsn't sex is what kpop girls are promoting?
ReplyDeleteIf they don't body and face, what else can they sell?
They can't survive with their voice alone.
Their costumes mostly look like swimsuit. Let them wear underwear and dance on stage.
We are not stupid enough to follow their clothes trend, but we don't mind watching them sell their body.
Anon, how long are gonna act like 2 years kid and keep repeating same thing again?? get something new!! Then again your one of those K-netiznes so repeating the past and bashing them in present is one of you well-known nature and trial!! BTw, back then nI quoted"i wishes NK to invade SK"!! I never said I would do that myself!! But, netiznes they did themselves so how the hell I'm no different for them.. Hell yeah, I'm different from them!! I pity you, next time I wish to see a different comment!!
ReplyDeleteKARA outfits and dance's not vulgar... but i agree about Secret..
ReplyDeleteit's just you with your brother and sister who watch it... your mother just watchng drama and your father about news... there's nothing to be embarrased about... but, come on... you guys must like it so much when you see girls doing something like that.. ahahahaha...... and ugly fat girls hate it... because they can't do that... LOL
