A netizen (with a lot of effing time on their hands) kindly compiled a list of the total girl group debuts to date. The chart only counts up to August 2nd, so recent girl groups like EvoL are missing, but it's still a clear indication of the influx the industry is pummeled with each year.
The category goes from year, group name, member number, debut date, and company name.

what does the one in Green text Indicate?
ReplyDeleteThat's a shitload of girl groups. Too bad less than 1/4 of them were/are successful. I hope this lowlife netizen compiles a list of boy groups as well.
ReplyDeleteWow that's a lot O_o
ReplyDeleteLol damn, I haven't even heard of well over half of them. Hell, probably over 3/4's of them tbh. And I like to think I generally keep up with who's out there.
ReplyDeleteBut wtf. Companies need to stop, with both girl and boy groups tbh. They are seriously over-saturating the k-pop market. Sad that only very /very/ few are/were or will be successful. It's really no wonder that the general korean population are supposedly sick of/indifferent towards idol groups...

Lowlife?
WTF is with int. fans and their hate for "netizens"? Not all netizens are the same. You guys act like netizens are all one evil entity. Every human on the net = a netizen (YES INCLUDING YOU!)
The world isn't fucking black and white, neither are people. Not every "netizen" are out to get your oppas and unnies. Get what I'm saying?
^
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more. I think it is hilarious that the people here who constantly criticize netizens don't actually realize that they're netizens themselves.
Still missing groups...
ReplyDeleteI don't see She'z nor Crayon Pop for example. Sure there are others
That shitloads of Girlgroup. Oh and U also forgot Women Generation. I remember them since they were trying to imitate SNSD. Epic fail.
ReplyDeleteWasn't Women's Generation just a bunch of CCM singers thrown together for an OST?
ReplyDelete"Lowlife?

Ouch, someone's a bit sensitive here. LOL. Butthurt much, yeah? Did my "lowlife" statement offend you guys? (LOL, it probably did.) And yes, I know that I am also a netizen. But please do tell me something that I DON'T know. ;)
The reason why I called this netizen a "lowlife" was because he/she had a lot of time to put this compilation together. After all, it's a shitload of researching. That's all I was trying to say. If I had known that netizenbuzz had such whiners like you guys, I would have changed the term to..."person with a lot of time on his/her hands". Does that make you feel better? :)
Different anon here, lol are you 5? You sound so childish. The things you just said completely missed the point of that other anons that pointed you out.. Damn. Lol. Butthurt what? They were just wtf-ing at your ignorant 'lowlife' words. Jfc..
Deletelowlife or not, this netizen did something actually interesting and helpful.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing, that anon is making fun of 'lowlife' yet she/he hopes for the list of boygroup as well..
DeleteAre you actually aware of the meaning of "lowlife"?
ReplyDeleteBecause that insult is basically saying that the person is less than human and despicable. I don't think you were aware of what you were saying (dear god I hope so) because that's unnecessarily harsh.
That anon clearly don't now what "lowlife" means if he tries to define it with "person with a lot of time on his/her hands".
ReplyDeleteRegarding "WTF is with int. fans and their hate for "netizens"?" Anon, if you are writing that all are netizens (which is stating the obvious), so why are you distinguishing international fans and netizens?
worrying I think the total of 2012 is going to be 153436415873687368

I wasn't distinguishing the different between int. fans and netizens. That's why I wrote netizens in quotes. I was just saying how I don't get how certain kpop fans hate on "netizens" when they're "netizens" themselves.
I know they're all the same~ thx dude :|
WTF is with int. fans and their hate for "netizens"?
ReplyDelete^ Aren't you also an international fan? ROFL.
international fans think they're better than korean fans, It's PATHETIC
ReplyDeleteROFL XDDDD
why can't I reply to that person. Anyway, LOWLIFE? That is uncalled for. This person who so thoroughly complied the girl group names are no different from people putting free subtitles on your favorite oppar and unnir videos. Subtitling takes hours and hours. You need A LOT OF FREE time to be able to do so. I don't see anyone calling them a lowlife.
ReplyDeleteMissing s#arp and i alnost missed as one. Wow. That's a lot. O.o
ReplyDeletei doesn't even knew and still doesn't know 99% of the girlgroups from the list
