So with reports of KARA's stage outfits being a copy of another fashion designer coming to light (I didn't even know this was an issue until recently), netizens compiled a picture list of all of the other groups that have stylists copying their stage outfit designs from other designers. While some definitely seem like a direct copy, I'm on the fence about the others.

so 4Minute's volume up outfit is indeed from D&G Spring/Summer 2012 collection? not ripoff? wow, those dress aren't cheap btw
ReplyDeletei dont think snsd's outfits are copied DIRECTLY from other designs. there is just no any originality in their designs and you can esaily find tons of similar designs before
ReplyDeleteon the other hand, after school's stylists are pretty shameless...
Come on! Look at the last few pics...You have to be blind to say that it's such a coincidence that even the head-Piece design is SOOO similar.
DeleteTypical SONE... While AS has only one pic, tons of snsd's promotional clothes are such a rip-off.. Wake up please sweetheart
snsd and their fetish concept outfits
ReplyDeleteI think none of them are the originals, all of them are copies, bcos it would be so so expensive, but already
ReplyDeleteWHAT'S NEW?? K-pop industry is full of copying not just the outfit, but the concepts, music, songs, lyrics.. etc
The one with shakira is not fair i mean that outfit that shakira is weari is from a recet mv while the one hwangbo is wearing is kinda old. Anyway i dont see the big deal about it i think more than just a copy is like inspired cause its not exactly the same well exCept for some of the outfist snsd and AS use

^ LOL! You crack me up. I love SNSD, but you to say that their outfits are just similar to other designs is so....blinding. Take another look at some of their photos above (especially their "show show show" performance). OBVIOUSLY, those were not "similar" or coincident designs but rather an actual copy of it. The head designs and outfits...it's the same! There isn't anything wrong with it, I'm sure the original designs were inspiring. But what irks me is that you don't see that in SNSD, yet, you're saying that AS's stylists should be shameless... oh sweetie, YOU should be shameless.
I agree :)
DeleteI think the Show Show Show outfits were actually the real designer though.
ReplyDeleteMost of these are reaching.
ReplyDeleteAfter School members outfits are the best, Kara girls look so dumb there >__>
ReplyDeleteand I knew Boy groups don't copy anyone. They're the only one originals in KPOP.
SIY is the korean Lady Gaga, too bad Jo kwon wasn't that good...
ReplyDeletecopies are cheap, JYJ outfits are expensive, SJ are cheap as hell
ReplyDeleteAnd how do we know who copied what? Srsly O_O
ReplyDeleteWait wait wait. SNSD and their fetish slutty outfits? Have you seen the recent outfits from Kara and T-ara plus man others? Their outfits are just as scandalous.
ReplyDeleteClose minded much.

ReplyDeletethere're many anime-inspired outfits in kpop actually. when i saw dbsk for the first time, i though they're doing a cosplay.
Mononoke Hime cosplay was fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat I find so funny about this is I see all these copies yet people were so up in arms with the chinse group because they copied b1a4's look. Hyocrites.
ReplyDeletemaybe they were from designers? they bought them? i mean like you do not know things that are happening behind the scenes of this kpop industry though.
