Survey shows 'K-Pop' is the most popular image foreigners think of Korea

Study on Hallyu's popularity internationally surveyed 5,600 people from 14 different countries and found that 'K-Pop' was the first image they thought of at the mention of Korea. Second was 'Korean cuisine', third was 'IT business', fourth was 'dramas', and finally fifth was 'movies'.

The last survey showed 'IT business' as the first image.

Culturally, what foreigners found the most interesting was Korean cuisine, music, fashion, movies, dramas, and games.

84.3% of the Japanese surveyed claimed or agreed that Hallyu would die in the next four years, a percentage significantly higher than the other surveyed countries.
