[Pann] The unfortunate management of SeeYa by CCM
Girl group SeeYa made their debut in 2006 with the album 'Woman's Scent'.
They didn't start off the bat with having a 'focal member', and the group was generally known for having the standard 'pretty member' and 'member who sings well'.
But all of a sudden, members Lee Boram and Kim Yunji became second to new 'focal member' Nam Gyuri. As you can see, they're barely visible in their promo picture above.
The bias doesn't end there, as Nam Gyuri would be dressed in differentiating outfits from the other members all the time, such as in skirts/dresses and darker make up.
These outfits garnered their company a lot of hate, as it was in the winter and many wondered why only Nam Gyuri was dressed in a fur jacket and the other members were left to dry.
The most controversial of all.. an event promo poster describing the group as "Nam Gyuri and SeeYa"
Once again, she's the only one in the skirt.
Accusations of bias deepened during their 'Shall We Get Married' promos when only Nam Gyuri, from start of the promos to the end, was dressed in a bridal headdress.
Other stages
That's member Lee Boram in the back, not a back dancer^
Their controversial album cover with Nam Gyuri's picture as the largest frame
'Gani' promos where, once again, Nam Gyuri was the only one given a special focal point to her outfit with a butterfly hair pin.
Lee Boram doesn't even have a bracelet^
The picture above was from a year-end ceremony stage that got CCM a lot of hate. The focus was entirely on Nam Gyuri the entire time and viewers basically had no idea that Supernova or the rest of SeeYa was even there performing with her because they looked like her back dancers.

Nam Gyuri eventually left the group, leaving a post on her mini-homepage and fancafe talking about discord. In a press conference, Lee Boram and Kim Yunji tried to retort her claims by dissing her back but to the public/media, all they saw was a female celebrity up against a large company and sympathy went to Nam Gyuri.
Lee Boram and Kim Yunji stayed in CCM and went on to release two more albums as Women's Generation and Wonder Woman but only as collaboration projects with labelmates. The projects were basically to promote Jiyeon.
They then had another album with Co-Ed's Soomi before her debut with Co-Ed for 'Rebloom', but that, too was just another promotional tactic for Soomi.
SeeYa eventually decides to disband and decide to get together for one last album with Nam Gyuri. As always, she's back in the center.
Still the center
And their final broadcast together

What the three are up to now:
Nam Gyuri: People expected her to be buried by Kwang Soo but she's been doing well. Released two singles, participated in a variety of drama and movie OSTs, acted in dramas and movies, judged on 'Superstar K', reunited with Kwang Soo. Has tons of pictorials since she's pretty, models for cosmetics brands, etc. Doing quite well for herself.
Lee Boram: Renewed her contract with Mnet after SeeYa's disbandment. No singles, some participation in drama OSTs. Was in the musical 'Falling For Eve'. Released an album with Superstar K's Lee Boram called '2Boram' but it didn't do well. Was also embroiled in a scandal when her ex-boyfriend commit suicide (Chae Dong Ha) and people blamed her because it somehow got out to the media that she ignored a text he sent. Apparently, Chae Dong Ha was reminded of her and sent her a text before his death and Lee Boram, not wanting to rekindle a relationship with an ex again, ignored it (not fully knowing of his suicidal situation either).
Kim Yunji: Did not renew her contract with Mnet. She was the best singer in the group but only released one single since the disbandment without any promotions. Has not participated in any drama OSTs. Lives life as a normal 'non-celebrity' now and attends school. She sang at her school festival but nobody knew her as a celebrity, just as a fellow classmate.
In conclusion: This is what happens when you focus all your resources on one member of a group.

1. [+85, -0] That crazy Kwang Soo bastard is always messing up the most talented people. SeeYa and Gavy NJ were considered the female SG Wannabe rivals and it feels like it was only yesterday all of that was going on. Time flies so fast ㅠㅠ
2. [+78, -0] Damn, might as well be SeeYa and the Kids. What do you expect from Kwang Soo's agency, really
3. [+74, -0] How many careers has Kwang Soo ruined? I remember SeeYa being excellent singers but randomly the focus started being on Nam Gyuri. I'll admit that even now when someone says SeeYa, all I remember is Nam Gyuri.
4. [+36, -6] Kind of like Suzy's situation... during their debut 'Bad Girl Good Girl' promos, only Suzy wore a skirt and Min and Jia said they like wearing feminine clothes too and wanted to wear a skirt but only Suzy got it..
5. [+30, -0] Can't imagine how upset the members must've felt in the back all along... They should've just put Nam Gyuri out as a solo ㅡㅡ
6. [+29, -0] Kwang Soo is absolute shit at managing groups. It's a miracle that T-ara got as far as they did. 5dolls, Gang Kiz, Black Pearl, Supernova... all groups that Kwang Soo failed.
7. [+27, -6] The post is missing the most infamous SeeYa scandal when one of the dancers fainted on stage and started foaming at the mouth but Nam Gyuri just passed a glance and kept singing and dancing ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ
8. [+21, -0] I remember the interview where Kim Yunji and Lee Boram were sobbing after Nam Gyuri left and finally letting go of all of their sufferings.. they didn't even call her 'she' but 'that person' ㅋㅋㅋ "We always had to wear what that person decided, we had to stand on stage the way that person wanted" ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
9. [+17, -1] I'm scared miss A is going to end up like this in the future... JYP is only pushing Suzy ㅋㅋ
10. [+17, -0] Kwang Soo still hasn't learned ㅋㅋㅋ He only supported Kang Min Kyung in Davichi although both are fortunately doing well nowadays
