[Pann] Comparison of the 'Big 3' debut styles

Pann: Comparison of the top 3 agencies when debuting rookies ㅋㅋㅋ

SM: Releases teasers randomly because they have a name value that people will trust and be interested in immediately upon debut (like Red Velvet) without getting to know the members first. This backfires because SHINee, Soshi, and SuJu also had random debuts and got tons of hate for it, like SHINee being called a knock off TVXQ, Super Junior being a trainee dumpster group, Soshi being a trainee dumpster group on top of a knock off Super Junior, etc...

JYP: Has quiet debuts and the success of the debut is determined by the song quality. The songs usually receive more attention than the actual artists. 2PM, Got7, 2AM had quiet debuts compared to being from a bigger agency. miss A also debuted quietly but news of their song being good spread out until they hit #1 on the annual chart and even won a daesang.

YG: The loudest most attention seeking debuts of them all. 2NE1 was media played as the female Big Bang and iKON went through all those documentaries. All of their rookies are stuck in release works with seniors and they always get special shows dedicated to them. They get results but sometimes you wonder if they would've been as successful as they were if they had quiet debuts like JYP.

1. [+94, -13] YG really does seem attention seeking. Not only their debuts but with their 'Who Is Next' teasers ㅋㅋㅋ And they always have those pre-debut survivals and talk constantly about who's being eliminated next.. ㅋㅋ

2. [+74, -11] I'm an Inner Circle but I agree with the YG bit. YG has a strict policy of creating a fanbase before their rookies debut and I sometimes wonder if Winner could've hit #1 as fast as they did without this formula. Fortunately, it did help in getting their talents known compared to other idols since there are tons of idol groups with talented members that never get that kind of attention.

3. [+56, -83] I think they're all true minus SM. Red Velvet had some amount of media play before their debut but barely anyone knows them now that they've debuted ㅋ

4. [+44, -0] Come to think about it, none of the female idols from the top three agencies show excessive amounts of skin.

5. [+41, -3] What pisses me off the most about YG is that they try so hard to pass down fandoms from seniors to rookies by sticking their rookies all over the senior works.

6. [+31, -0] Sounds more like JYP being stupid and YG being smart;;; Of course you should do anything for your rookies to get them popular, what's the point of a quiet debut. Attention seeking? ㅋㅋㅋ More like Yang Hyun Suk gets the job done. What kind of agency just puts their rookies out quietly and expects them to do well ㅋ

7. [+27, -1] I really wish JYP would media play more. They take in two genius K-Pop Star winners and let their talents rot away.

8. [+25, -2] With SM, it doesn't matter if it's immediately or a year later, their groups are destined to be successful no matter what. SM invests in them without limit until they get popular ㅋㅋㅋ So I have no doubt that Red Velvet will be as popular as f(x) one day, even if it takes another year.

9. [+18, -1] As an EXO fan, I've noticed that SM has been sticking their rookies everywhere too. They had trainees on EXO's varieties taking up all the screentime and they also get to perform at SM concerts. They're obviously trying to get fandoms made for them before their debut.

10. [+16, -1] YG really does seem attention seeking if you think about it ㅋㅋㅋ
