[Instiz] Seo Jisoo visits Mapo police to personally deny all rumors
Instiz: LOVELYZ Seo Jisoo personally visits police station to 'deny all rumors'
Woollim, "We requested for investigations to be made into the case on November 10th, 2014 through the Mapo police station. We will be complying with all further investigations to make sure that the first rumor writer is caught.
Just because it's difficult for sexual minorities to reveal themselves, please don't act like a victim by hiding behind that excuse. If all you say is true like you claim, then reveal yourself to the police and comply with investigations. A girl's life is at stake here."
-
"Woollim's notice makes me lose all respect for them... Could they not think of a way to write it without putting down sexual minorities like that?"
"As someone who supports sexual minorities, Woollim's notice makes me extremely uncomfortable."
"Yeah a girl's life is at stake but so are the lives of sexual minorities..."
"?? Why did Woollim mention sexual minorities like that. They should've just kept it clean by saying, 'We'll try to reveal the truth. We ask that the people who claim to be victims to cooperate with investigations.' Why does it feel like they're putting down sexual minorities by talking like that? Do they not realize that being like this only gets their rookie artist more hate?"
"I don't understand how Woollim put down sexual minorities with what they said."
- Reply: "It's not exactly a put down but they fully know that coming out as a sexual minority in Korea is still a serious issue but they're talking as if it's just an excuse and that it should be easy for them to out themselves just to prove something... Woollim's basically forcing them to out themselves against their will."
"Lost all respect for Woollim. Outing yourself as a sexual minority puts their lives at stake, how can they just ask them to reveal themselves so easily like that? I for one don't think this is all just a rumor with all of the evidence being provided..."
"Woollim just dug themselves a deeper hole."
"I really think Woollim shouldn't have mentioned the sexual minority line in their official statement. They really crossed the line on that. Why do they think sexual minorities hide themselves? Just like how Seo Jisoo's life is at stake, so is theirs. We live in a society where their identity as sexual minorities could possibly end their lives."
"Woollim's forcing them to out themselves... sounds like one emotional response from them."
"So is Woollim going to take responsibility for the lives of the victims if they out themselves? Outing is a serious issue, I hope they know that."
"Woollim dropped the ball on this."
"Does Woollim not care about the lives that will be at stake once they out themselves?"
"Woollim, did you write this thinking there are no fans of your company that are sexual minorities? I'm honestly so hurt by that statement. I'm regretting spending five years of my life giving money to this company. I'm so angry that an artist I support is under a company with such low standards."
