4minute's 'Come In' deemed unfit for broadcast by SBS

Article: [Exclusive] 4minute 'Hyuna-Gayoon' new track 'Come In' deemed unfit for broadcast by SBS

Source: TV Report via Naver

1. [+1,730, -65] Well when they're turned around with their butts showing and asking to 'come in' like that, I can see why it was deemed unfit.

2. [+891, -25] Seems the lyrics were sexual in some way... and didn't 4minute say they weren't going for a sexy concept this time?

3. [+801, -25] I can see why 'come in' wouldn't make it...

4. [+831, -173] The company has decent singers but they keep shoving the sexy concept on Hyuna...

5. [+237, -18] Stop the shielding... 'I won't give it to you' and 'Come in' all can be read with sexual connotations even if that's not what the lyrics are about... It's all about the sexual marketing.

6. [+231, -14] I recommend that 4minute's next title be 'Will You Suck It'. The song's lyrics will be about washing the socks of your boyfriend. (tn: suck it and wash it use the same word)

7. [+221, -19] Totally sexual marketing ㅋㅋ

8. [+196, -16] Showing your butts and asking to come in... As expected of Cube. I guess it will be another 19+ sexy concept.

I didn't want to laugh but hahaha. I also have a no right to judge cause I think Come in will be my new favourite song. I love me sexually suggestive songs

Sounds like an adult film...cept....there wouldn't be any girls present.

    ReplyDelete
  8. just because they're not facing the camera doesn't mean it's going to be a sexy concept -__- I mean, two of them have their legs covered up in that picture

WHYYYYY DID THEY HAVE TO USE THAT PICTURE.
Even though they don't mean it like that, it still comes off as sexual I guess...

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well, it's more of the combination of showing butt PLUS "come in" and "I wouldn't give it to you" is a problem.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hyuna: "Annyeong Oppa...the front or the back?" Okay jk.

    ReplyDelete
  12. such a terrible picture tho

    ReplyDelete
  13. It's only sexual because you are all dirty minded...

    ReplyDelete
  14. 4. [+831, -173] The company has decent singers but they keep shoving the sexy concept on Hyuna...

yes, look her short is the shortest. and then they dress other members as fashion terrorists!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. lol does the netizens know that come in is not the title song? then why are they saying it will be a sexy concept? i though concepts are chosen for the title song only

    ReplyDelete
  16. um well

maybe i'm too innocent but i dont see nothing sexual in the song title/photo

    ReplyDelete
  18. Sorry but I can't see how this is sexy, they look hilarious: http://youtu.be/KwiekP7w1lY I guess the quirky concept will take over sexy concept now

And the English name they use is Whatcha Doin' Today, which is different from HELLOVENUS title track, so I guess CUBE was being considerate after all.

    ReplyDelete
  19. anything hyuna does is going to be viewed as sexual tbh because people already have this preconceived image of her.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Netizen #6. NO filter.

  21. 6. [+231, -14] I recommend that 4minute's next title be 'Will You Suck It'. The song's lyrics will be about washing the socks of your boyfriend. (tn: suck it and wash it use the same word)

    omg

    ReplyDelete
  22. Whatever. Cube knew what they were doing when it came to this picture lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. Aren't they using Brave Brothers to produce their songs again? I feel like they always make sexual lyrics :/ They wrote Sunmi and Sistar's songs too... which makes sense. Makes me apprecia te groups like SNSD and Apink and even Orange Caramel lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. Usually I'm quick to make inappropriate jokes about such things, but I didn't see anything sexual about the title + pic combo until after I read the comments and still...I don't really feel the sexualness of this.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I thought there was 4 of them until I counted the legs.... They could have used a better photographer and editor.

    ReplyDelete
  26. what does the trackslit pic has to do with the song name? lol just bad pic choice from the journalist.
by the way, come in is supposed to be a slow song and no, their concept this time is not sexy at all.
    dont jump on conclusions. smh

    ReplyDelete
  27. 6. [+231, -14] I recommend that 4minute's next title be 'Will You Suck It'. The song's lyrics will be about washing the socks of your boyfriend. (tn: suck it and wash it use the same word)

    WIN.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Uh, I'm pretty sure that's not what they're talking about with the picture being captioned 'come in'.

    ReplyDelete
  29. brave bro only produced the title track. "come in" is by another producer, not related to brave bro at all.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Lol Hyuna is a cutie pie I saw her at SXSW and she's friggin adorable. People call her sexy this and that but off stage she's completely different. Even on stage as soon as the song starts she's sexy hyuna which btw she was wearing so really short shorts. But When the song turns off she turns cute. After a song ended I was screaming "Hyuna hyuna" and she walked over and shook my hand hahaha. She's so nice.

    ReplyDelete
  31. where were yall criticizing big bang's lollipop lyrics? Donghae and Eunhyuk have an album called ride me. Why can't girls do it to SMH at yall so hard

    ReplyDelete
  32. I got youuuuuuu under my SKY

    ReplyDelete
  33. Good. Being under my skin would too raunchy!

    ReplyDelete
  34. It doesn't look sexual to me tbh ..

    ReplyDelete
  35. this teaser reminds me a lot of BESTie's Thank U Very Much MV

    ReplyDelete
  36. Isn't Ride Me a Japanese album? I'm pretty sure no one would make a big deal about it. And certainly Japan wouldn't either.

    ReplyDelete
  37. why do koreans always conveniently ignore snsd's "oppa oppa I'll be down down down" lyrics? they always go on about how snsd doesn't sell sex like other girlgroups but they have lyrics just as suggestive.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Reminds me of T-ARA.

    ReplyDelete
  39. yes it is but it's not like people are completely unaware of what idols do in Japan? i mean average citizens yeah but certainly not netizens

    ReplyDelete
  40. I don't think netizens care as much over the musical activities in Japan in comparison to Korean promotions. So idols can get away with a lot more in Japan musically.

    ReplyDelete
  41. boys still get away with sooooooo much more than girls though

    ReplyDelete
  42. I still remember how they got into my local news during their Genie promotion about their legs lol

    ReplyDelete
  43. I wouldn't give it to you is from a long ass time ago and the song isn't sexual of you read the lyrics

    ReplyDelete
  44. mmm
I remember 2pm changed the lyrics (actually just a verse) of Hands Up and Vixx changed their coreography, etc

    ReplyDelete
  45. Weren't you around when they get flacked for "Oh"and "Genie"?

    ReplyDelete
  46. can you link me to the articles of people hating on them for their lyrics x

    ReplyDelete
  47. the fact that its a picture of taeyeon is very important

    ReplyDelete
  48. Wonder Girls, miss A and 2ne1 never used Brave Brothers too, or you're saying SNSD and A pink aren't sexual at all, and that's why you appreciate them?

    ReplyDelete
  49. 6. [+231, -14] I recommend that 4minute's next title be 'Will You Suck It'. The song's lyrics will be about washing the socks of your boyfriend. (tn: suck it and wash it use the same word)

    LOL. GENIUS

  52. How is it cute when the little kid imitated Psy's lewd dancing but this is not ok? The kid has parts where he's touching his butt. But I guess that's only not ok if it was a little girl doing it.

  56. Dominique (도미니크)March 14, 2014 at 10:04 PM

    lol obviously they were not

    ReplyDelete
  57. I think the point was not to hate on all the groups but rather questioning the different responses different girl groups are given to their lyrics.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Dominique (도미니크)March 14, 2014 at 10:05 PM

ummm they got flack in the past as well.

    ReplyDelete
  59. How many of these bitches who complain are actually going to buy the album and listen to the song???? My point exactly.

    ReplyDelete
  60. no, the problem is people seeing sexual innuendos wherever they want to see it

    ReplyDelete
  61. Rude. Lots of netizens here may be concern parents worried that their children will have bad influence from the media.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I don't really where does it come in as long I have something like Huh or Muzik

    ReplyDelete
  63. this better be sarcastic cuz i can't really tell but that's how im going to interpret it anyways...

    ReplyDelete
  64. dude! don't you have a little bit of shame when you make your so called jokes like this? they are also humans

    ReplyDelete
  65. +1,730, -65] Well when they're turned around with their butts showing
and asking to 'come in' like that, I can see why it was deemed unfit.

LMAO IKR. I thought I was the only dirty mind here

    ReplyDelete
  66. But snsd got their own slice of hate for that too in 2009. Were you not around? Or did you also conveniently ignore it?

    ReplyDelete
  67. I wasn't there when they received all this flack your talking about. Tried to google any articles but I guess all the criticism doesn't exist anymore whereas articles with criticism that other groups have received are seemingly still abundant. Regardless if they did, is it a rite of passage to go through? Because one groups experienced criticism for supposed inappropriate lyrics, should other groups receive it too?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Maybe I'm just too young or not as dirty minded but when I saw that there would be a track called "Come In" I seriously say nothing sexually suggestive about it lol

    ReplyDelete
  69. Can't a girl just answer her door? Geeze..sometimes the front doorbell doesn't always work. I don't know why your mind is in the gutter ;/

    ReplyDelete
  70. thats not even the main problem lmao. Its the fact that they are using the phrase "come in"

    omg those caps tho -_-

    ReplyDelete
  71. I think you need to look at the bigger picture. Why do you think there's a lot of hate for girls going for "sexy concepts" at this point? Becausethere has been.a lot of girl groups who opted for it, and people have already formed.their.opinions that it's not.only inappropriate but also because they believe that it is all for attention---not true for everyone, but because of the growing number of groups who did it almost one after another, similar reactions is to.be expected.

    ReplyDelete
  72. LOL I really don't care, I like 4minute and the music is all that really matters, well at least to me.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Even after all these years, I still don't understand why "under my skin" had to be censored. The song is kinda sexual and all, but never blatant like some of the others.

    ReplyDelete
  74. but i never saw a male groups doing dance moves like girls groups! male groups don't do sexy concept so much like them... i guess that's why they got it harder

    ReplyDelete
  75. haha dude everyone except sones hated SNSD when they came out the public bashed them like no tomorrow XD I was around that time they got it worst than exo, along with the public they were against other fandoms

    ReplyDelete
  76. there's someone thouching someone butt in that pict.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I like WOT better than doggy style...

    ReplyDelete
  78. wtf stop over thinking things lol

    ReplyDelete
  79. What's the point of bringing up something that they hated on a few years ago when the girl group are promoting in suits nowadays... so is it some kind of requirement when they hate on other girl groups they also have to bring up a past issue...

    ReplyDelete
  80. they meant it, not 4minute members but their company promo.

Kpop isn't that innocent, even some ''pure'' concepts have sexual connotation/Fetish

    ReplyDelete
  81. my weakness right now

    ReplyDelete
  82. no, the problem is the company doing it on purpose and pretending they aren't lol

    ReplyDelete
  83. taeyon's cute, too bad she's a bitch

    ReplyDelete
  84. i just saw the teaser video and it doesn't seem sexual at all
i think they are just saying to come into their world
but maybe the lyrics are controversial ? after all none of us listen to the song yet but SBS must have checked the song before their comeback.
let's wait before saying SBS is wrong or calling 4minute sluts.

    ReplyDelete
  85. _s_r_kamb_b_s_ °^°March 14, 2014 at 10:37 PM

no, the problem is people dont understand sarcasm

    ReplyDelete
  86. oh my god calm down i was kidding
btw, little psy is even worse, i cant watch the whole thing its so terrible imo

    ReplyDelete
  87. When I made my mom listen to the song (She don't know korean) She thought they really had something under their skin her reaction: "Someone should help them." XD

    ReplyDelete
  88. why she is a bitch? I'm not into SNSD so I would like to know. Because from what I saw on some shows she just doesn't care/is depressed ?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Ignoring the past is just being ignorant. There's a point why we take so much interest in history. To learn from the mistakes. If SNSD received such criticism and people realised it was totally exaggerated then commenters should know better now. If SNSD didn't receive criticism and these groups are receiving it now, they should adjust their standard so it's not all over the place.

    ReplyDelete
  90. your mom is cute :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. haha I was so embarrased >.<

    ReplyDelete
  92. "people realised" I'm sorry but I'm sure they don't and if snsd is doing the same concept as they did during genie/oh I'm sure they would be getting as much hate as they did before

    ReplyDelete
  93. I'm just disappointed by the fact that it's another Brave Bros production. u__u

    ReplyDelete
  94. sar·casm

    noun \ˈsär-ˌka-zəm\

: the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say especially in order to insult someone, to show irritation, or to be funny

    ReplyDelete
  95. Lmao so true. I was a TripleS + Cassie and I hated Jessica but now I love her hahahahah

    ReplyDelete
  96. Korean netizens just don't care about Super Junior anymore. Period.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Lol I reacted almost the same way. I thought that the girl was a spirit and she was under their skin=Possessing them .-.

    ReplyDelete
  98. haha Cassie+Chanjo here :D Yeah SNSD were treated like the anti-christ I still find it amazing that their now referred to as "nation girl group" after all that (I'm a Shawol but SHINee had nothing to do with back then)

    ReplyDelete
  99. Even Koreans don't know exactly how ridiculously popular DBSK is in Japan. Only the hardcore fans follow their idols' Japanese activties. Why else are Korean fans/netizens/whatever always begging for a Korean comeback?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Yeah I get that. 4minute's not going for a sexy concept though, by the looks of it, it seems quirky. I don't know... the nit picking with lyrics and concepts seems exaggerated to me. They don't need this much censorship happening.

    ReplyDelete
  101. No it's just that fans have this delusion that taeyeon is a dorky kid leader 24/7

    ReplyDelete
  102. Wow. I'd like to have more hope in the general public and hope they did realise.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  104. who cares about k-netizen anyway? they don't vote or buy albums or Concerts tickets so with them or without them Super Junior is still the same!!! the only thing they are good at is to bash lol and K-ELF dont give a fuck about these netizen, they have their own sites...

    http://cdn10.mixrmedia.com/wp-uploads/ningin/blog/2011/08/kyuhyun-super-junior-mustache.gif

    ReplyDelete
  105. Miss those times hehehehe. I pity my sone friend though, LOL. She had such a hard time during those times but I couldn't say anything because I was part of the hating big 3 fandoms lmao

    ReplyDelete
  106. To the commenters below, the point that guy is trying to make is that the memory of netizens seems to be incredibly short: they use SNSD as a litmus test for how all other girl groups should be marketed, while conveniently ignoring the fact that SNSD is also objectified and commodified for the male gaze, and that their sexier concepts were subject to the same kind of slutbashing netizens are so fond of engaging in at the present. It's a hypocritical, vicious cycle.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Yeah I meant that most of the groups I mentioned stick out most to me as groups that don't tend to go for sexual concepts or lyrics in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Actually it's never important to me if my idols have bad/weird attitudes. It's not like they gonna live in a same house with me forever or sth like that. I'm fine with them doing whatever they want as long as they don't commit any crime. And I'm not a saint to judge anyone. I hate people and usually have the urge to kill someone.

    ReplyDelete
  109. oh i see. but i'm getting tired of brave brothers songs. wish tehy wouldn't have to have their title track always done by them ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  110. When it comes to articles relating to Hyuna or 4Minute, I just come to laugh at the double standards, and not the gender double standards, but how the fact other female idols do the same thing— if not more vulgar, and get away with it.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Nah if you were around pre-2009ish in the Kpop scene, you would've known how hated SNSD was...I mean there's the infamous "black ocean." A lot of Cassies and ELFs were especially angry/jealous of SNSD cause' SME always promoted them together with TVXQ and SJ.

    ReplyDelete
  112. thanks to byuntaeyeon..i become a sone..

    ReplyDelete
  113. That's not 4minute's nor Cube's problem though. What parents need to do is to tell their kids not to watch it, don't punish the music

    ReplyDelete
  114. From 'noise marketing' to 'sexual marketing'. What's next?

    ReplyDelete
  115. Then maybe those parents should learn not to let music and entertainment raise their children instead of bitching about it on a article. That's not going to solve anything.

    ReplyDelete
  116. I think the other users were reacting to the part where the OP implied that netizens supposedly have ignored the suggestive lyrics in "Oh" when it was not the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Agreed. Even their cute stuff had some suggestiveness going on.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Can't forget the ridiculous dissection they did on that song. In the lyrics "red ocean" meant a woman's virginity and "crystal" meant semen. The reactions to that song were so overboard it was laughable.

    ReplyDelete
  119. IKR?! "Red Ocean" was just a shout out to Cassiopeia. LOL forever at it all.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Can't even shout out to your own damn fans in a song without someone thinking your song is about hypnotizing virgins and banging them.

    ReplyDelete
  121. It kinda bugs me when they use the same set especially when its so noticible. They took Jiyeon carousel wich portrayed to a sad love story and made it into a sexy concept which i do not like.

    http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mp-BNSTAuEQ/UsUw-IoY1HI/AAAAAAAAt0s/Df-2Bl884u0/s320/t-ara+jiyeon+the+seeya+mv+(1).jpg

  122. Porn marketing. Already setting my calender.

    ReplyDelete
  123. LMAO. That is too much! Comment 6 Mar me die too.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I thought they meant come in for a slice of pie. Not biscuits.

    ReplyDelete
  125. they infantilize her a lot, it's really disturbing

    ReplyDelete
  126. Knetz are so pervert. Who nows what the exactly means of 'come in' is.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I don't nesicarily think she's a bitch I just think she's grown up and at a point in her life where the Idol life just isn't satisfying anymore. While she was young it was fun but at her age it's probably not the same. I think she's sick of it. If you knew (not personally obviously) Taeyeon earlier on, you'd see the huge, almost 360 change in her.
