[WTF] Woman brags about water bottle delivery

Article: "Please deliver 168 water bottles" controversy...

Source:
Money Today via Nate

A woman uploaded that picture along with a post on a community board bragging about how she made an old delivery man deliver 168 water bottles in one day.

"I was at work when the delivery man called me at 8 a.m. shocked at the delivery load, asking how he was supposed to deliver this all and asking me to save him.

I live on the 4th floor but the distance might as well make it the 5th floor. I get out of breath just walking up the stairs on my own. The delivery man told me that he won't be able to work if he delivers all this and that he will be sick in bed for days after. He asked if he could deliver a pack a day, a weight he could manage carrying around. But of course, I'm not one to agree to that. I demanded that he deliver them all today no matter what.

That man probably fainted after delivering all of this. I did this to him before and he always asked what kind of house I was running to need all of this."

Once the post became controversial online, the woman's younger sister wrote a new post saying that her sister exaggerated what really happened because she just wanted to brag about winning all those water bottles through a contest. "There was an event where you could order water bottles at half price so my sister ordered 10 packs for same day delivery. The delivery man called and asked if he could deliver the packs once a day instead of all at once but she said no because she's not home every day and asked for them to all be delivered to her front door. She then asked our father to help the delivery man carry them up the stairs."

1. [+3,136, -36] The scary part about all of this is that she still doesn't know what she did wrong. No wonder she thought to upload pictures like that and brag about it. She already deleted the post and everything but I really don't know why I have to waste my oxygen with pathetic beings like her.

2. [+2,690, -35] What an idiot, what's wrong with her?

3. [+2,449, -42] Karma will come back to get you, you b*tch ㅡㅡ

4. [+351, -6] It's not like she can drink all of those water bottles at once, what's so wrong with allowing the delivery man to split the deliveries? She obviously only asked him to deliver them at once to screw him over. And she thought it was funny enough to post about it on the internet... I want to give her a good punch to the face.

5. [+329, -8] Her identity should be revealed so she can wake up

6. [+261, -8] I order water bottles too but I just ask them to be delivered to the security office/lobby and I carry it up myself. How can you even ask someone to carry all of that without an elevator?

7. [+258, -10] I hope she falls down the stairs

8. [+143, -10] What a b*tch... Times like this, I don't think it's a bad idea to release their identities on the internet.

Totally agree. I don't see ANYTHING to brag about in her actions. That's just so wrong...how can someone even think like that? My arms get sore just carrying one freaking pack from the shelf to my cart. Like, really?

  9. which makes her an even bigger bitch

    ReplyDelete
  10. how cruel. you would have to be an idiot to take pride in something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I've never ordered deliveries of water bottles or even heard of it, do people really do that?

    ReplyDelete
  13. uggh, I know a lot of people like her.

    ReplyDelete
  14. If I were a knetizens living a high floor, I would offer that woman the normal price of all the water bottle and make her deliver them up to my place with no help.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I hope she piss in her bed because of all that water :P

    ReplyDelete
  16. This lady seriously needs to get a life -__-

    ReplyDelete
  17. you can do it in america too. If a company delivers those huge water jugs they usually deliver bottled water as well.

    No medicine could fix idiocy.

    ReplyDelete
  19. if he's that old he should think about retiring or getting someone younger to deliver the bottles. He should be resting :\

    ReplyDelete
  20. People can be so stupid....It's not like she needed all those bottle of waters right that second. She should have used her brain for a second, and be considerate of the man delivering it. Or at least help.

LOL Asian countries has people delivering everything... They have KFC deliveries in China too -__- while we in the US have to go to like markets/cosco to buy it and carry it ourselves

Doesn't matter if she exaggerated(if she did). It was still wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  32. What a bloody idiot!
Making an old man run up and down flights of stairs between ground & 4th floor is something to brag about?!
I want netizens to go all CSI on her ass, expose her and bash her nonstop until she realizes why this is SO wrong.

    One word: sadist

    ReplyDelete
  35. She needs a high five

    To her face

    With a chair

    ReplyDelete
  36. what usually happens in a case like this is when she goes down to hell she'll be climbing up an endless flight of steps with 168 water bottles attached to her ass as punishment

    ReplyDelete
  37. 6. AND THATS HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE DONE!

    ReplyDelete
  38. She won a large supply through a contest, so naturally the people who hosted the contest would offer a deliveryman to deliver it, but that's just fucking trifling making an old man deliver almost 200 cases of water bottles in one day and then try to brag about it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. This womans behavior is atrocious. I would be extremely pissed off if something like this happened to one of my family members. She is just plain stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  40. eh? what to brag about? one show-off something awesome/cool, that isn't cool lady.

    ReplyDelete
  41. what a dumb bitch braggin about waterbottles makes me LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

    ReplyDelete
  42. Age isn't the matter at hand here. She ordered the delivery person to get 168 bottles up almost 5 flight of stairs. You could be an athletic 20-year-old and that shit is still messed up. But the fact that he is older makes this even worse.

    ReplyDelete
  43. those look like half a Liter bottles @ 12 bottles a pack it shouldnt weight more than 20lbs the delivery guy is exaggerating talkin bout being bedridden for days looool makes me wanna say "Do you even lift"

    ReplyDelete
  44. "wow i made an old man deliver a bunch of water bottles to me im so cool here's my cringeworthy story"

    ReplyDelete
  45. What's there to brag about having someone deliver you water bottles? Also why go through all the trouble of even getting someone to deliver them for you? And....this just confuses me. I thought it would be about her having a whole room full of water bottle sand spending like a thousand dollars on it.

    ReplyDelete
  46. ''I demanded that he deliver them all today no matter what...That man probably fainted after delivering all of this......''

Not the delivery- the way she brags about it online, being so pleased about making the man probably ''fainted'' is sickening to me ...

    ReplyDelete
  47. What ever happened to the respect your elders culture that Korea is so well known for?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I don't even carry heavy groceries and I live on the third floor. And this chick asking an older man to deliver this much WATER to her door?

Yeah..If she called me with that kind of order she would be shit out of luck.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Netizens please find out who she is.

    ReplyDelete
  50. In SK, you can get just about anything delivered. Compact geography+lots of cheap labor = low cost delivery. The delivery guy makes about a dollar for each package, so he made $14. This is occupation mostly for young men in their 20s: it's unusual to see old people doing this.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I live in America (the desert of Las Vegas) this delivery service is very common cuz our water here is the PITS so I get the big blue bottles delivered and then also a few cases of water bottles every month. And even when I lived in Arizona and it was like 115 in the summer they would bring those big blues up my elevator less apt month after month. (granted it was only one flight not four like this crazy lady)

    ReplyDelete
  52. In Virginia you can have McDonald's delivered, so jelly my friend in college there used to brag about that

I it's more prevalent in Seoul and many other large asian cities because they are so densely packed where as USA is more about sprawling suburbs it seems

    ReplyDelete
  53. Her sister said she works so can't be at home to accept deliveries every day.

    ReplyDelete
  54. This made me think of a show I watched on cable where people were viewing different apartments overseas. They found a place that was cheap, but had no elevator and was on the 4th floor and then after moving in laughed about how they just have the grocery store deliver the goods to their apartment so they don't carry very many things up the stairs. Is that really something to brag about?

    ReplyDelete
  55. She needs to get a clue.. Seriously. I hope she gets treated like crap when she's a senior citizen.

    ReplyDelete
  56. My Dad gets cases of water delivered to his house. Except the delivery service is actually calling me on the phone and telling me that it's in the trunk of his car... :sigh:

    ReplyDelete
  57. can't wait to see who's bitchier, karma or this lady.

    ReplyDelete
  58. #3 is not wishing her something back, it's wishing that she deals with the consequences of her selfish and in humane attitude

    ReplyDelete
  59. seriously, what exactly is there to brag about? first, it's WATER. secondly, there is nothing good about making an elderly man work till he faints. this 'woman's brain must not work.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Don't insult Korea's culture just because of this stupid bitch. There's a reason why she deleted the post & why everyone is pissed at her.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Whoever that woman is... she either has no brain, no common sense, or no morals whatsoever. I can't decide which is worse.

    SMH.

She's gonna get what's coming to her.

    ReplyDelete
  62. 7. [+258, -10] I hope she falls down the stairs

Same. Then lets see what good those bottles of water are gonna do her hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Whut?~ I'm from VA and I never seen Mcdonald delivery...do you mean Burger King? I know one place that deliver it near DC.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Those are 2-liter water bottles.

Three sets of 24 bottles & eight sets of 12 bottles.

Just one pack of 24 bottles is over 100 lbs., you fucking idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Hey, I'm in charge of the bad jokes here

    ReplyDelete
  66. How am I insulting their culture? I'm just saying this women has no respect for her elders. Offensive much?

    ReplyDelete
  67. 1.) That woman is a self-centered asshole.

2.) The water company should have also thought of having somebody else deliver those bottles instead of it coming down to an old man having to beg their customers on an agreeable delivery schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  68. you can get everything delivered to your door as long as you buy it online.

    ReplyDelete
  69. dude couldn't use a hand truck?

    ReplyDelete
  70. This is the problem with people who get no recognition for anything they do in life. They want so badly to be noticed that they're even willing to belittle others in hopes of making themselves look superior.
She needs to get some self validation instead of looking elsewhere for it.
Besides, who in their right mind thinks its "cool" to order 10 cases of water bottles, and then brag about it? Water is $3.50 at Walmart. Chill out.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Is this too hard of a task? Lol I'm just wondering would it be wise to have fast food deliveries here? I mean...people already like to complain about how fat we are compared to everyone else. This wouldn't exactly help lol

    ReplyDelete
  72. so she's bragging about making someone's life miserable? this woman sounds like a GREAT person

    ReplyDelete
  73. [+258, -10] I hope she falls down the stairs

    looool

    ReplyDelete
  74. What the hell does she need all that water for in one day?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Should've put the water bottles on her face. It's probably as plastic as those bottles anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  76. She's not gonna use it all in that day. She orders water regularly, and decided to save money in the long run by using her prize.

    ReplyDelete
  77. bless you for this post ROFL

    ReplyDelete
  78. In Korea, almost anything can be delivered....this includes fast food as well.

  86. You can get water delivered in America too.
In fact, you can even get Safeway to deliver your groceries.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Can you read?? Her apartment doesnt have an elevator; the only way up is walking up stairs

    ReplyDelete
  88. Where I live it's pretty common to have water bottles delivers to homes, schools or offices.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Make it metal too.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Fall down the stairs and step on a lego.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Imagine if she won legos instead. Karma is really going to get her ha

    ReplyDelete
  92. oh well i guess i can take the opportunity to brag about how yesterday i got diarrhea twice NOT ONE PEOPLE BUT TWICE.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I hope the delivery man's not sick or anything. I'm sure that it's not only tiring, but if the man's old already, then he might be suffering from back pains. This is so sick.

    ReplyDelete
  94. All these reaction gifs in the comments sections sum it all up beautifully.

    ReplyDelete
  95. man, I swear that lego pain is second to none.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Just another netizenAugust 31, 2013 at 10:56 PM

I agree. The woman was a bitch. She should deliver those water bottles herself and see how hard people work for little pay.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Calm down there, Satan.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Inconsiderate bitch. Karma will get her.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Is it that hard to take your car, load them up and when you get home ask your family to help?
    Bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  100. you've obviously never done manual labor....

    ReplyDelete
  101. You know what would have been better- if instead she bragged about
how she donated the water to the people who actually needed it. There
are a lot of people out there who would do anything for at least a drop
of water. Yet here she is, bragging about how she made a man & her
own father carry 168 water bottles to her apartment because she was too
fucking lazy to do it herself or no sorry it was because she had 'Work'
    -BS.

Honestly people like her get me mad. And I hope karma gets her back 168 times worse.

    ReplyDelete
  102. she wanted all those bottles to be deliver at once?! I just wish someone made her drink ALL that effing water in ONE day if she was that desperate...
I hope the old man is okaay :( if hes one of those people that get paid according to thenumber of deliveries he made, he could have been in trouble too cuz he wasted all his time with this crazy woman...

PS: "I hope she falls down the stairs" that made me laugh xD

    ReplyDelete
  103. Whale done sir! Whale done!

    ReplyDelete
  104. I hope she carrys twice as much one day while being sick or some shit and feels twice the pain, actually triple that.

Bitch theres so many poor people with no water at all and you have all this.

    ReplyDelete
  105. She can just ask the delivery man to put them in front of her door. One or two packs a day should be no problem.

    ReplyDelete
  106. what a heartless woman. it's not just about how she made an old delivery man carries 168 bottles of 1L water to her 4th floor apartment, he made his own father to do that too. like seriously. she can just ask the man to deliver a pack a day and left it in front of her door instead asking them to be delivered at once.

and she is stupid enough to brag abut it online too.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Those aren't 24 packs, they're just 2 12 packs next to each other. They've got two separate shipping labels on each one.

    ReplyDelete
  108. wtf??? any packages i get are sent straight to the main office for me to pickup later

    ReplyDelete
  109. How would yanking that much water up 4 flights of stairs on a hand truck be any easier for him.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Cih, just buy a gallon

    ReplyDelete
  111. #7 all of the 5 floors

    ReplyDelete
  112. They look like the same pack of 24 bottles me & my roommate buy from Sam's Club every month. *shrug*

Even if they are all 12 packs of water, that's even worse. That's more trips up & down the stairs that the delivery guy had to make.

I don't understand why the woman had to make the man do it all by himself when he asked her to not make him do it because it's exhausting & time-consuming, to say the least. :/

    ReplyDelete
  113. The way you worded your first comment made it sound like you were making fun of the concept of filial piety. If you were just talking about the woman mentioned in the article, you should've been more specific or worded your comment differently.

And it's not just Korea that incorporates filial piety into their society.

    ReplyDelete
  114. They deliver frozen yogurt in kuwait lol its pretty awesome

    ReplyDelete
  115. Or a very, very sharp knife. And then the wound gets majorly infected. So she has to get her leg amputated. And gets a fake leg. So she will figure out how hard it was for the old man.

MTE! I am never leaving Korea....
I mean they deliver anything here. You can call a company and have them do grocery shopping for you or even clothes shopping and drop it off at your apt house....I MEAN WHAT IS AMERICA DOING?
Also fast food....my first shock when I got here was that MCDONALDS DELIVERS!!! I MEAN....I did not know that!
    anyway sorry for the spam...:)

    ReplyDelete
  119. I'd probably want all of them delivered on the same day too in case they got lost or stolen from his van (although in this case it's just water bottles like $2 per bottle so wtf) but if he's old just let a younger guy deliver them or help him ffs....this woman is an a class douche!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Even better, in Indonesia, food truck or cart tend to drive around houses, so you just can step outside your house and stop them to buy some food. And anything can be delivered too, any kind of fast foods. There is even a company you can call who offer service to deliver you certain street foods who doesn't have one.
Well we want things easy, i admit, but at least i've never heard or saw someone here did things like that woman.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  128. Because the water will get stolen. If you leave things outside your door, it can and will be stolen.

    ReplyDelete
  129. No, but they might not do deliveries on the weekend, and she won all of them in a contest. if you are not around to receive the deliveries they get taken back or left outside and they might get stolen by a neighbor, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I told you if you are not there to receive the delivery it is a problem.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I think that she knows that she is in the wrong which is why her sister has stepped in with that lame excuse. It would be too much after all to expect her to apologise using her laptop whilst sitting in the loo!!!

    ReplyDelete
  132. Well, the girl said that she was at work when the delivery man called. But she still insisted that he send the packs on the same day, even when she was at work.

Even though the dad was at home at that time, still, she needn't brag about how she thinks its funny to treat an old man that way. Carrying 10 packs ain't funny.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Even if it's old man, i think 2 packs a day would be good. No one would order 1 pack, it's always 2.

2 packs a day for 5 days, not necessarily everyday. Maybe a set date in 2-3 weeks, waiting for 5 days, every weekends.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  140. lol i remember i saw a show with sooyoung in it once and they literally have this business where the custumers call in and have them run their arrands. "buy a box of popcorn for me at the movie theaters. half garlic, half butter." "do my laundry for me." i was like :O we need that in america

    ReplyDelete
  141. Bitch being unrespectful to hard working people...makes me wanna puke.

  143. I feel like this sort of posts would be the perfect post on ilbe, as NB once translated a kid's ilbe post about him bragging about destroying his own home just cos his mom didn't make him food: and he was praised by the ilbe community. The real people out there rather wanna punch him and the woman from this post tho; ilbe people live in another world seriously.

  144. I know it's not the issue. I'm just saying someone that old shouldn't be delivering bottles of water. There is something wrong with whoever is making him do that job in the first place.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Not really. Petty theft is not common in Korea.

    ReplyDelete
  146. You generally can't drink the tap water, so you have to buy bottled water.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Ugh, too cruel. I really do hope that karma gets to her. Hope the delivery man is okay.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I can't even at this disgusting woman.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Really? That's kinda funny. My parents come from a 3rd world country so when we go on vacation we always have to buy water bottles because you can't drink tap water. It's funny to see that although Korea has improved so much they're still behind on basic needs like water lol

  150. O__O I thought KFC did deliveries everywhere... They do them here in Malaysia too...

We need that in America.... but i'm already lazy as fkkk.... LOL

  152. Please. Anyone can get whatever job they want no matter what their age is. No one is "making" him do it.

And he did do his job, he didn't complain to anyone or do anything except for what the customer wanted. If you can't see the problem in what was asked of him, then you need to rethink your ethics.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Uhh who cares. Its just bottles of plain water not cash or something.

    ReplyDelete
  154. People care. People PAY for bottled water.

    ReplyDelete
  155. That's true that she was at work when the delivery man called.

But her father helped carry them up the stairs.

Maybe her father isn't her home all the time to receive deliveries but was there on that day. I don't know. We don't know. We don't have the full story.

But I kind of understand it when people need something delivered all at once instead of every day.

It's like moving. 168 bottles to the fourth floor seems like a lot. But when you consider removalists carry more than that when moving, it really isn't that big of a deal in Korea.

  156. wow .-.

I gave up on humanity long time ago. I'm not surprised people like that exist in our world.

  157. just accept the fact u did something wrong.

^^ Yup...had some stupid tweens come in to McDonalds to get 3 clear cups for water...they didn't get water, so I had to tell them that they weren't allowed to get pop for free which is why we gave them clear cups. One of the girls decides to be a smart ass and "drops" her drink on the ground, making a big spill for me to clean up. Later, I see them walking outside and the other girls throw their drink cups in the drive through area, making a mess outside.

Faith in the future generations, down the drain...

Are you talking about the stair climbing hand truck? The brand's like Esclera or something? A friend of mine has that hand truck and it was able to bring the fridge up my staircase...A normal hand truck wouldn't have worked...

Depends on his condition too though...If he happens to have a back injury...carrying those bottles could worsen his condition. Also, you might need to consider age...if he were 50-60+ year old...obviously it's going to be harder for him to lift those bottles.

Some old people still work cause:

    1) they enjoy working
    2) after the whole stock market crash, many people lost their retirement funds
    3) with the world economy down, many companies went bankrupt and people lost their pensions
    4) people are bored, they decide to take up a job
    5) financial problems for the family (child loses job, helping out the family)
    6) own children are incapable of maintaining a job (ex. child has a mental or physical disability that makes them incapable of working any sort of job - parent has to take care of child for the rest of their life)

...what about water filters/boiling water? Shouldn't that be cheaper than buying a shit ton of water bottles?

    ReplyDelete
  165. Just another netizenSeptember 1, 2013 at 11:27 PM

If McDonalds North America did delivery...the delivery boy would honestly quit after like a day...there'd be so many people ordering, it wouldn't even be funny.

    ReplyDelete
  166. You could, but there is a convenience in having all of this water already ready to drink just sitting around instead of having to remember to refill the filter or boil water and wait for it to cool. You can buy one of these packs for $6 or so and have them delivered, so not like this is crazy expensive either. Boiling/filtering is cheaper, but if she goes through a lot of water, this could be a better option for her.

I suppose so...but honestly...my family just has this huge ass jug of cold water (which we filter beforehand) and a huge tank of boiled hot water (for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cup ramen, etc.)...it's more convenient than opening a water bottle, in my opinion LOL

    ReplyDelete
  168. Somewhat bitchy done but.....
Am i a bad person for finding her little power trip stupidly funny?

    ReplyDelete
  169. I get pissed when my mom makes me carry one of those sized packs even when it isnt anything. Imagine all of those.

    ReplyDelete
  170. I think the people are more mad at the fact that the woman had the audacity to post this thing online and sounding like what she did was funny and she had fun doing it.

    ReplyDelete
  171. I live in a third-world Asian country, and, yes, we do have most of the goods delivered

    ReplyDelete
  172. Obviously. I get the point of the article.

But I am just pointing out that it's not that unreasonable to expect someone to deliver the whole quantity at once because some i-netizens didn't understand that aspect.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Believe me, it happens all the time. It happened to me when I left something outside my door for a short time.

    ReplyDelete
  174. who fucking cares how many bottles of water she ordered! if that's all the water she ordered, there aren't even that many, but she obviously is screaming for attention by bragging that she made an old man begging her for her mercy and she was still unshaken >_> BlTCH!

    ReplyDelete
  175. Well, if she did win all of it in a contest... Then isn't it also her responsibility to wait for the prize and guard it since she invested so hard to win in that contest?
I'm sorry but I don't get your reason for defending him/her.

    ReplyDelete
  176. I said it wasn't common, not that it never happens. But I find it to happen much less frequently than it does in America.

    ReplyDelete
  177. then he should find a job that he can do. If you can't carry water and complete the job you shouldn't be doing it.

    ReplyDelete
  178. he did complain. he told her that it was too hard for him and he needed to take several days to deliver the order. If you can't do the job you shouldn't rethink employment at that business. I didn't say what she did was right but people need to get real. He shouldn't be doing that job either.

Sometimes the economy sucks, just getting a job is a miracle enough. You really think all the people who work at McDonalds (for example) honestly and truly work there simply because they like to?
