JYP once again in hot waters

Last year, JYP signed a contract with a clothing company to produce 2PM's 'clothing album', a shirt that basically has a QR code you can scan to listen to their music. JYP thought that it'd sell well and agreed to produce 5,000 copies of it. Unlike what they expected, they only ended up selling 140.

JYP only paid the company the profit from what they sold, leaving the clothing company to deal with the losses of the production costs and the leftovers, which amounts to about $100,000 USD.

Other companies JYP has been working with are complaining of similar losses. A toothbrush company that produces JYP characters has seen a loss of $20,000 USD that JYP hasn't compensated for.

The companies tried to make up for the losses by selling the leftovers on their own but JYP prohibited them from doing so due to copyright, leaving the small companies to deal with the losses out of their own pockets.

JYP explained that Park Jin Young's relative was in charge of these matters and that they had no idea what was going on. JYP's marketing manager "It wasn't until the journalists came to us that we found out what was going on. We still don't know everything about the issue so we're trying to understand to the best of our ability."

1. [+293, -10] JYP ㅋㅋ Park Jin Young's really losing it, isn't he...

2. [+276, -8] Blew all his money in America and now he's ripping money away from Korean companies

3. [+264, -13] JYP is definitely not good enough to be considered a part of the big 3 anymore...

4. [+241, -14] JYP is really digging their own grave. Why can't they do anything right? The companies are just as messed up for signing the contract thinking products like that would sell well and then complaining about it through the news now that it's not

5. [+222, -5] As if JYP didn't know ㅋㅋ They're products made with their own kids, they should've known how much they could sell of each product. So obvious they're just throwing out excuses now that they know the public will catch wind of it

6. [+168, -3] I find it hilarious that JYP even thought they could sell 5,000 copies of a clothing album. Even regular albums, fans are cautious of buying... but a clothing album? The cost and the quality of it was bad. Even as a fan, I would never buy something like that. Surprised it even sold 140 copies ㅋ

7. [+146, -4] JYP's going to be over soon

8. [+136, -4] Tryhard Park ㅋㅋㅋ Half air half sound ㅋㅋ even he can't do it ㅋ

9. [+130, -4] What a mess

10. [+117, -9] JYP needs to be kicked out of the industry.

1. [+164, -8] JYP is going to need some huge changes... They really make me frustrated with the way they work. It's like they're purposely going out of their way to pick only the things that will bankrupt their company. How upsetting.. how did they even get to this point.

2. [+146, -3] What's up with JYP these days? They need to swap out all of the administrators of the company. JYP's going on a fast downfall these days.

3. [+130, -5] What happened to JYP...

4. [+49, -13] The top 3 has lost all meaning... JYP has no position next to SM and YG.

5. [+39, -4] How many people are suffering because of Park Jin Young's stupidity? He needs to fu*k off

6. [+34, -1] The company's in such a crappy state, no wonder they're putting their lives on the line for Suzy

7. [+34, -8] Congratulations, another problem to add to your long list. Or is this a new marketing tactic for your new songs?

8. [+29, -0] Who in the world would buy such products in this day and age? I've never even seen anything like that back in the HOT days... JYP's admin team is pathetic, but the companies who signed those contracts are just as stupid...
