A convenience store worker revealed that he saw a middle aged man come into the store with six male and three female high school students. He told them to pick whatever they wanted because he'd buy anything for them. They chose 99 items amounting to almost $400 USD in total, and the worker overheard the man pleading with the kids, "Now please don't torture my child."

SBS reporters then found the father and his daughter in question to find out more about what had happened. The students had beat up Kim, his daughter, for an hour and a half to the point where the bones in her face were crushed. She was finally discharged from the hospital last week but hasn't been able to return to school because her bulliers still remain in the neighborhood and threaten to hurt her (they were forced to transfer to different schools once the father reported what had happened).

Her parents thought that reporting the matter would help solve the issue but nothing has changed so the father eventually had to resort to "buying" favors from the students.

1. [+3,267, -10] Breaks my heart... I can't even imagine how the parents feel.. This is the world we live in ㅜ

2. [+2,580, -13] Are these delinquent students not reading or watching the news at all? We're getting so many reports about school violence.. how can they not see what they're doing and the harm they're inflicting?

3. [+2,540, -7] I have no words for this, this is insane

4. [+1,992, -7] These delinquent students need to be taught that there are things scarier than them that exist in this world

5. [+1,781, -18] I thought I was going to explode while watching this on the news earlier today... Korea is seriously sh*t when it comes to laws..

6. [+1,613, -10] We've become a country where committing crimes gets you free snacks at the store

7. [+1,448, -5] They've traumatized and ruined the life of one young girl and the most they can come up with is a forced school transfer? It's because the punishments are so light that these crimes are being repeated. They should be thrown in juvenile detention halls, not thrown into other schools. How could they transfer them out when they beat someone up to the point where their face was crushed?

8. [+1,234, -5] Our country's future will remain dark if we do not figure out a solution to school violence soon

9. [+278, -4] I can't believe we live in a world where it's the victim crawling and bowing to the attacker... This frustrates me but I can also understand how the father must be feeling right now... It sincerely breaks my heart ㅠㅠ

10. [+193, -17] Does she HAVE to go to school? It's not even required by law, they should just homeschool her. School memories are only memories if they're good, there's nothing to remember about hellish days. Sending children to school to build their social skills is no longer a viable reason. The country won't protect these kids so they have to learn to protect themselves.
