Psy shoots his 'Gentleman' MV with Infinity Challenge + Ga-In

Article: [Exclusive] 'Psy Girl' Ga-In... sexy dance instead of the Abracadabra?

1. [+324, -14] It's okay if this song isn't as popular as Gangnam Style... I just want Psy to promote how he wants. He doesn't have to lose his style just because of Gangnam Style and even if he doesn't achieve the same level of popularity overseas, there will still be fans supporting him in Korea.

2. [+121, -23] Oooh, I have a good feeling about this...

3. [+102, -8] Who cares if he doesn't do well in America, just let him enjoy himself in Korea then ㅡㅡ Since when did we get so global anyway? Psy never pursued music for fame anyway.. It's not Psy that's changed but all of you.

4. [+36, -33] I have a feeling this will be just Gangnam Style 2. Why is he going with the whims of Infinity Challenge? Psy, just make your own decisions.

5. [+19, -13] Let me give you one prediction fully knowing that I will be voted down. Psy may have gotten popular through Gangnam Style but that same song will be the one to chain him down, as he'll be criticized for coming out with something boring or something that pales by comparison. He'll never achieve the same level of popularity again and disappear. He should've drawn the line at Infinity Challenge.

6. [+18, -9] I remember when I went to America, Americans would usually greet Asians saying Konichiwa and Ni Hao kind of like how we say Hi, Hello to any foreigner we see. Now they greet Asians saying Gangnam Style~ Psy's gotten more popular than kimchi and bulgogi!

1. [+586, -24] Am I the only one both worried and excited?

2. [+483, -21] Doesn't seem all that different from Gangnam Style..

3. [+324, -18] The concept and outfits are way too similar to Gangnam Style. Doesn't have something fresh that Gangnam Style had.

  2. the screen caps does give off a Gangnam Style vibe. i honestly don't mind if Psy is a one hit wonder. we all know he's a talented guy and that's good enough :) he can continue with activities in Korea even if the second advancement to America isn't as successful. but i hope him all the best!

sorry but i have a feeling about this

  4. Seems just like Gangnam Style. He's trying way too hard, especially with the set of pictures of him laying under that girl. Reminds me of the Noh Hongchul/yoga scene in GS. Shame...

  5. The dance, the outfits, everything seems like Gangnam Style... I'm worried about Gentleman, I have a bad feeling about this. :(

  7. I think Ga-in will be the next Hyuna if this song becomes popular. But yeah, she's talented compared to Hyuna so i dont think will bitching about it. Anyway,i'm not sure too since Hyuna has the cute vibe while Ga-in? Idk,promoting bewbs maybe

  8. Although the screen captures really assembles GS, Im still pretty excited about Gentlemen XDD
And I think if they want to make the MV more appealing internationally, they should ask the running man members instead of infinity challenge since rm is really more popular internationally.
And I really anticipate performance of Haha and Yoo jae suk!!! :DDD

  10. he's a great entertainer, an amazing performer and has tremendous stage presence, he knows how to work the crowd.

secondly, his works are amazing. don't overlook Gangnam Style as a repetitive nonsensical song, if you actually cared to look at the lyrics you would see the song and music video was addressing an issue in Korea in a comedic approach...

please read for more information: http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2012/12/what-does-gangnam-style-mean/

  12. I don't even know why K-nets ever held this amount of expectation anyway...when you look at all the viral stars in the past (in North America at least), their popularity rarely last more than a couple of months. A viral star has a better chance for longevity in music if they prove themselves to be one that can be respected. Although Psy is much respected in SK, here in the US he's just a passing fad because most people know him just by how funny his music video was. I doubt people would be waiting for him to drop his next funny music video seeing how the public has already moved on to the next funny/interesting thing that has gone viral.

  13. "1. [+586, -24] Am I the only one both worried and excited?" No, you are not the only one.

The last picture make me think that I will laugh a lot. I'm very excited, but it worries me XP

  14. Netizens, the world don't give a shit if this is a success or not. Gangnam style is a viral hit. PSY is not an "artist" outside of Korea. He's just a funny fat dude from Korea to the rest of the world.

  15. Wait, in the first pic is he dancing the gs dance while gain does the abracadabra dance??? what I'm so confused.... :/

  16. i have a bad feeling about this

  17. I thought he was trying to hard at first too, but maybe he's always put in this much effort for a video, they just come out looking carefree and like he just did something quick and fun.

The truth is, not a lot of people cared before, so he could spend as much or as little time creating music without pressure. The only thing that has probably changed is the amount of people paying attention.

  18. Most exciting part...Ga-In and Yoo Jae Suk.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm just here for the exposure Ga-in can get with this.

  20. I'm glad people aren't caring that he might not do well, so they say
because from the looks of it, it doesn't really look original...

Us americans are so freaking embarrassing

  22. people saying this is like Gangnam Style, this has always been his style! even watch the previous mv, Right Now, similar. psy is being himself, there's nothing to worry.

    He is such a pedo

    ReplyDelete
  24. You guys have to realize how much he must be pressured . Gangnam style was a huge hit , this next song could make or break him . So , it is undrestandable why he's trying so hard . The song hasn't been released yet , there's no good in leaping to assumptions , so let's just wait and see ,it may be difficult to top Gangnam style but PSY is a great songwriter and he works with the best choreographers . So maybe , just maybe ,he could hit the jackpot and people will stop calling him a one-hit wonder .

    ReplyDelete
  25. His wife must be so proud after seeing this kind of photos...

    ReplyDelete
  26. I wish Psy the best, but he needs to remember that pressure will make a person crack. If's better to just take it easy and relax.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I would be happy if Psy succeeds with his new song but somehow i don't want it.
YG is way too much bigheaded lately, imagine what will happen if Psy makes another hit ?
For YG and its artists, it's maybe better that they face a failure.

  28. I wish PSY the best and I can't wait to see Ga In in the MV.

    This is true.

Psy never got into the music industry because he wanted to go global. He made the music he wanted from the moment he debuted. No one cared that he was chubby and had a funny haircut. He sang the songs he wanted to, questionable lyrics and all, took his shirt off at performances, drank beer on stage... because he wanted to.

Psy only went global because "Gangnam Style" went viral. He said so himself that he never knew this would happen and the only reason why he performed it all over the world for so long is because people wanted him to.

I hate people who keep saying he's a one-hit wonder or whatever. One-hit wonders are people who release one hit song and disappear. Psy has had several hit songs over the years and he's still around.

    Sit the fuck down.

Wtf are you talking about. Psy has been wearing blazers, slacks, dress shoes, and button up shirts for his songs since he came back from the army and joined YG.

I'm sure you're reeeeally concerned. Lol.

  31. THANK YOU. Most of his new stuff is like this, but people don't know anything but GS.

Someone please give him/her a medal!!! I love this comment, we all will still support him whether it succeeds GS or not

  33. I've never heard of anyone greeting Asians(well I'm Asian) with "Gangnam Style" here. It made me lol though,

    ReplyDelete
  34. "paradise" is still my favorite psy's work for me. can we have another "paradise"-y stuffs again, dear psy?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh gawd no. If Gentleman is anything like GS, then Psy will be seen as a try-hard and the MV will look too gimmicky.

This is not good at all.

    ReplyDelete
  36. RIGHT? LOL In Korea it's a polite thing since foreigners don't necessarily know Hi in Korean, but here I think it'd be more offensive if someone went up to an Asian and said Ni Hao/Konnichiwa.. even more if they're not Chinese/Japanese >__>

    ReplyDelete
  37. I dunno why but I think this will flop
