1. [+112, -17] Okay, I admit that Suzy doesn't completely suck at acting but she definitely doesn't deserve top 3. Idols are all pretty much the same in terms of acting skills in that they're no better than the other but Suzy just got lucky by choosing the right project at the right time. UEE is definitely better than her in terms of acting with Ojakgyo and Junwoochi and Eunji did way better on cable with Reply 1997.

I almost threw up watching Introduction to Architecture ㅋㅋㅋ Out of the list, I'd say Eunji's the only one I agree with out of the idols ㅋㅋ Suzy has no place on this list... She's just used for the viewer ratings. Idols should not be allowed to act at all, they're not almighty entertainers. They started off as singers, leave it that way ㅋㅋㅋ

For a VIP, I've actually never seen the movie TOP has been in "Into the Fire". Has someone here who's not a BIGBANG fan seen it? I want an unbiased opinion. I know he won an award for it but still

I'm not a VIP and i've watched it in Korea with my friend who is a VIP and also Korean. I actually didn't look forward to it but I actually find him quite good tbh. Not absolute amazing but good enough for an actor. the people around me (mostly young men) good comments about him saying that hes quite good aftr the movie ended.
Deletebut the reaction was soooo different compared to when I watched"don't cry, ,mommy". I heard so many giggles and the ahjumma behind me was commenting how horrible dongho was...

ReplyDeleteI think it's difficult to judge if he's good or not. His role in IRIS didn't have to do anything at all really... and his role in "Into the Fire" was fairly easy. In those two roles, he was quite stable and pulled them off. However, I'd hold off further judgement until he's shown more.

I'm a BIGBANG fan but I never judge something biased based on who I like. His acting is good and that movie was good and the award was well deserved but he hasn't really showed much. His roles are all similar. We would be able to judge him better if he took on a role in like a romcom or something along those lines.

ReplyDeleteI think he's naturally stiff and so far he's played characters where that is a strength ( A closed off killer in Iris, an introvert in Into the fire). Although in Into the Fire he had some emotional scenes which I thought he nailed, they were few so he hasn't really had the opportunity to really push himself and test new waters. I think he has potential but still has a long way to go.

ReplyDeleteEven though I'm biased towards T.O.P (obviously) I thought his acting in 71: Into the Fire was actually pretty good. If you've seen I Am Sam, IRIS or Nineteen you can see the difference and how he evolved as an actor. I didn't find I Am Sam or Nineteen to be that interesting (mainly because of the plot) and I felt like he lacked emotion and couldn't portray the role correctly but I didn't feel that way with 71: Into the Fire. And It also has to do with the fact that the other actors were equal support to the movie and not just T.O.P. (same with IRIS) so I would recommend it.

ReplyDeleteI didn't even remember that she was a singer. She's definitely a good actress. I enjoyed her in My Name is Kim Sam soon so much. She did an excellent job. And on top of it, she speaks perfect English because she grew up in Australia.

Sure, Yoon Eun Hye, for example, is a popular actress who started her career as a singer. She's more popular as an actress than most of the people who made the list.

Why is everyone talking about TOP when he hasn't had that much acting projects? Every "acting" project he's done he's only had minor roles. He's been in ONE movie as a support role. that's it. in IRIS he had zero dialogue and he probably never even appeared for 30 minutes throughout the whole 20 hours of the drama.

i have wachted both actually .. Heading to the ground has a bad story line and equally bad actors as yunho so he couldn't hide it. sungkyunkwan scandal how ever has a fairly talented actors/actresses except for yoochun.

ReplyDelete1. [+112, -17] Okay, I admit that Suzy doesn't completely suck at acting but she definitely doesn't deserve top 3. Idols are all pretty much the same in terms of acting skills in that they're no better than the other but Suzy just got lucky by choosing the right project at the right time. UEE is definitely better than her in terms of acting with Ojakgyo and Junwoochi and Eunji did way better on cable with Reply 1997.
