  33. it was true..there were pple on international forums who went to her school. they said that they didnt know if she bullied someone but she did have this "mean girl" aura about her, and was extremely white-washed. apparently the region she lived in and the school she went to was mostly attended by rich pple, and there is a joke around the country that the biggest snobs live there.

    The video still sucked anyway. She's not good at rapping and her singing was not that great either (although it has potential, maybe that's what they should work on instead of forcing her to rap). It's like she's trying hard to be all "swagger-ish" but fails to make it with her skills.

With the exception of Psy and maybe Se7en from last year, all of the YG artists seem to have the same musical stylings, imo.   93. Dara is definitely not the most talented idol out there, but she more than makes up for it by being the media liason for 2NE1 and Blackjacks. Plus, she rakes in a bunch of cash with her CF deals. Etude House kept her on for two full years (big money) and now she's the face of Clio (even bigger money).


    And even though Dara doesn't have as much range as, say, Minzy... She ALWAYS sings live. Even if she goes flat a little, she still troops on.


    Which is more than I can say for other idols who aren't vocally talented and choose to lipsync... like Goo Hara and a couple SNSD members.

  152. The only possible explanation is something went wrong with their album, or something because as of recently 2NE1 hasn't been high up on the whole album with Will. I. Am - they really didn't have anything to say about it. When they came to America CL said they would like to have at least one English single, making it seem as though the album wasn't happening anytime soon.

  156. The rumor was started right after she appeared in G-Dragon's video. Her picture had been out for MONTHS before & no one said anything. GD fans have a history of bullying any female who get close to him. Remember what happened to his girlfriend after debut? Fangirls went crazy & left negative reviews for her wine bar even going so far as to say it was a brothel. They repeatedly drove by & threw garbage out front until eventually it was shut down. Jennie is most likely a victim of GD's fans.

  165. I remember seeing her first rap video teaser thingy and I thought. Dang she's so young and can get better BUT the moment the bleeping went into action I thought to myself what the hell was YG thinking.


    Sure, rapping is normal in rapping. But to think that if I had kid brothers or sisters around her age or younger, I wouldn't want them listening to her or YG's possible new group.


    For them to look up her and find that kind of video and think that it's so cool to cuss and bad ass for that age. Just no...if YG is really trying to promote a young and fresh image, that shouldn't have been done.


    Plus, I don't necessarily like anyone who's been associated with bullying rumors. If she or any other artists had been associated with the area around bullying, I wouldn't even give them another listen no matter how good they may be. Bullying to me is unacceptable and just cruel.

  173. Well honestly all they have shown is this Jennie Kim girl. I guess shes going to be the one that gets all the love in the group and is the least talented. The teaser of the girl dancing to Turn Up the Music was really good...cause everyone knows YG doesn't do dance groups, so it was exciting, and the other two girls singing/rapping togethers teaser was better than this girls. But at the end of the day Jennie Kim gets to be in GD's music video...gets 1 teaser and 2 clips of her performing. What do the other girls get? Isn't this a 7 people girl group? YG is setting out this girl to be the FACE of this new group...imo.

In a way I see where she's coming from though because when they record with Teddy, they literally keep recording until they get it right/the way they want it, for instance Dara recording Ugly 10+ times. When they were with Will.i.am they recorded once or twice and that was it.

    But then again the vocals in the states is superior to Korea's so maybe they don't need to record as much because most of the time they kill it clean.

    That was a comment that should have been left unsaid on CL's part, there will always be someone more passionate than you are.
