Kim Sori's 'Dual Life' receives an "explosive response" overseas

Article: Kim Sori's 'Dual Life' MV, explosive response overseas

Source: X Sports via Nate

This article is legit talking about her music video being featured on allkpop and allkpop readers raving over it, leaving comments like, "An amazing dance and music video!" and "She looks like Madonna!" Not trying to cut her hype, but I'm pretty sure she has hook ups with allkpop considering she sent in a video message for them over Christmas.

1. [+150, -9] The amount of articles Kim Sori's company releases a day is truly on the universal level ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+119, -33] She probably fits their tastes more. She has a nice butt and toned thighs. She contracted with Universal anyway so she just try the American market.

3. [+109, -44] I was going to leave a comment about the media play but decided to check it out for myself and went to allkpop and it really is actually getting a positive response internationally ㅡㅡ;; What is this... Maybe she's like KARA.. Does better overseas than domestically. Anyway, sorry for the hate.

  1. I know a lot of ppl who have no idea who sori is but really like her song. And girl can dance. Her company sucks shit which is what holds her back sadly

  2. Anyone that leaves a video message for them gets in their good graces and if they go to a rival site... well, we all saw what happened between akp & Stardom.

  3. Of course her company paid allkpop, just like BAP's company is doing (a lot) for allkpop promote them, other companies too. It's normal though.

    2. SM does it too, what is Let's watch I got a boy MV??! So don't say names

  4. LOL Her company is shameless and has no boundaries.

If K-netizens want an honest opinion from a random K-Pop fan, here it is: I don't like the song. She's very pretty, she knows how to work the camera, but that's all. The song sounds basic to me and is very forgettable.

  5. She didn't even get that great of a response on allkpop and they love irrelevant people there.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Allkpop is probablythe worst site to got to for anything.

    ReplyDelete
  7. but the response is not that good on allkpop? anyway netizens should base their arguments of allkpop, just a bunch of pervs and trolls....

    ReplyDelete
  8. I find it very funny that netizens would take allkpop seriously. Most kpop fans I know really dislike the site and stopped going on it now there are better alternatives for non-Korean speakers.

The reaction to Kim Sori's MV was generally "she's pretty", "the song is a bit boring", etc... nothing particularly negative but nothing outstandingly positive either. There was no explosive response, that's for sure.

  9. 'Explosive response' on Allkpop doesn't mean 'explosive response' overseas lol. I read the comments and it's nothing really positive "How to clean the floor with your body" lmao, is this positive?
The song is not bad I guess, it's just not my thing.
And the second comments here ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ because she has a nice body she should try american market?? ㅋㅋ sorry it doesn't work this way.

  10. This article is one of her company media play too...

    ReplyDelete
  11. the only way u can see someone "explosive response" overseas is with youtube views

    ReplyDelete
  12. soompi is worse, but the people on allkpop are the worst yeah

    ReplyDelete
  13. Who? And lol at them taking the word of people on AKP.

    ReplyDelete
  14. but there are barely 30 comments on each of her articles, I wouldn't really call that a response, and even less an explosive one. her company is getting more and more shameless

    ReplyDelete
  15. Looks like the media is using the language barrier to trick pll into thinking that it's popular overseas.

    ReplyDelete
  16. many Trolls and haters from AKP are here in netizenbuzz.

this site is becoming trash too

    ReplyDelete
  17. lol most of the comments on allkpop were that they miss when she used to be more of a b-girl lol

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yep, it was nice reading insightful (and respectful) comments while it lasted. Now I can't get through the comments section without losing some brain cells in the process. Such a shame.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah, I barely recognize anyone in the comment section anymore. I tend to skip reading the comment sections full of fanwars (I think you know which articles I'm talking about) because I just don't even know where half of these people are coming from. I hope that they think NB is some new fad and leave once they don't see what they're looking for because I thought we had a nice community here going before the onslaught of scandals that brought in a wave of new readers.

  20. Video disappointed me in some aspects.
Teasers promised us much more sensual, hardcore stripper-ish action and first 50 seconds of the MV were an incredible adventure for me but then, that mood of anticipation kinda disappeared with the basic choreo and displeasing boring video.

Still that first 50 seconds UNF.

  21. lmao. the song was mediocre at best.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Lmao fake ass Nate. Allkpop is not the general response for overseas public. Stop lying, feature her on something like Yahoo and no one will give a fuck

    ReplyDelete
  23. I find it very funny that international fans take netizen comments seriously and even think their opinion represents every Korean citizen's mind e_e

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yeah although with BAP, the response is explosive, where like a selca gets 50+ comments every time... The promotion worked.

    ReplyDelete
  25. let's be honest, Big Bang, DBSK / JYJ, SNSD, 2NE1 negative dumps will always bring antis and trolls.

    ReplyDelete
  26. true, on the article about the top 10 kpop group in japan, the top comment is someone hating on vip/bb, i'm no big bang fan but why is a comment not related to the article, at the top??
it's sad cause this blog is good and the admin seems like a nice person, so i just hope they'll get tired and leave~

    ReplyDelete
  27. It's annoying to see 200 plus comments from fans who disagree about an article when it's just a translated opinion :/

    ReplyDelete
  28. to be honest here are many Bigbang, T-ara and Snsd ANTIS.
wishing them death and all smh

    ReplyDelete
  29. JYJ fans even tried to report to CJes about people writing bad things about JYJ.
they said people can go to jail.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I swear to God I saw those comments from JYJ fans.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I miss reading exchanges in the comment section where two people would disagree with one another but explain their points without resorting to insults. Now all I see is "You should shut up and rot in hell, bitch. What I'm saying is right and you are wrong!"

Take all the childish bickering back to akp & tumblr please.

    ReplyDelete
  32. raving over it? RAVING? on allkpop? lol
Isn't there some site where people translate Allkpop's comments in Korean? If not there totally should be!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Actually the comments on NATE are a fair reflection of the general opinion of k-netizens, as opposed to k-netizens who are solely focused on idols.

Allkpop on the other hand, has a very limited audience, mostly idol fans + some kdrama fans,

I guess you don't know that this is why the author of this blog selected NATE as their source of netizens comments?

    ReplyDelete
  34. so knetizen go to allkpop too?

    ReplyDelete
  35. LOL I just asked would @NetizenBuzz:disqus please add some note that it's the Physical Single sale only and some anti told me to GTFO 'cause I'm "dirty VIP", plus some hateful comments about T-Ara like "punch her face 'cause she's ugly"... ~_~

  36. Am I the only one who belives BAP don't rly pay for most of their articles or divulgation there? I mean, with the exception of promotions clearly sponsored...it's known some allkpop writers are active on the BAP fandom....

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yeah.

Before AKP cleaned their shit up, Korea stumbled upon AKP's more... opinionated articles and they kicked up a big fuss about it.

I mean there were articles poking fun at SNSD and calling them whores with sponsors, Super Junior was apparently a group of homosexuals that routinely had orgies, etc. etc. etc.

Just like how we come here or directly to Nate/Newsen/Osen to see what Koreans think, they go to AKP to see what international fans think.

Although it has to be said that Koreans don't think much of international fans. I don't think I need to explain why.

    ReplyDelete
  38. who is she again???? my god there is barely any interest in her internationally...Allkpop sure promotes her well but its not like the readers there actually bother about her O_o

    ReplyDelete
  39. pffttt...i guess thats the one thing CJeS is good at...making threats and whining over the public's negative opinion of them.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Allkpop is business. writers there get paid money to write their articles. therefore, there is no way those writers would bother waste their time and job writing articles about BAP, no matter how much they like that group, if they weren't getting paid money for it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I feel like Koreans look down on international fans. :/

    ReplyDelete

    1. I wish someone from Korea would publish what i-fans think of them...

      99% butt hurt
      100% ungrateful

  42. omg, allkpop is their reference? lol

    ReplyDelete
  43. The JYJ article brought a lot of readers it's a controversial article after all but you are so wrong if you think that thoseall those trolls are JYJ fans or JYJ haters look the japan article and this just one example the site is full of troll who hate a lot of groups not only JYJ/TVXQ...

It's true that most of us were hurt they are our bias after all..for me is still uneasy to comment here. But I continue coming because i like the site since the beginning, like me a lot of jyj/ot5 did not ever comment on this article, we already knew the war would be formed between the two sides..but as I said before they usually kept in JYJ/TVXQ related articles not in others one.

  44. lol at u taking words of people on nate. i just come here to laugh. my korean friend at uni told me its where critical people hang out. its by far not the opinion of regular people in korea. unless its collective like the snsd comeback song were even their international fans went wtf and the rain scandal. if u want general people opinion of comedians/actors etc than maybe it would be near accurate in nate but idols only their fans like them eough to comment about them so in nate u will find their fans just like akp or haters who dislike them and surprisingly in a bigger quantity therefor a negative comment as best reply on nate

    ReplyDelete
  45. Would you mind sharing what you consider the better alternatives for non-Korean speakers? Thanks! :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. I like the song, but you need more than a nice body to make it in the American industry. If that was the case, why do people love Daft Punk, Adele( even though I think she is beautiful), and Lady Gaga. Jeez, you need something like talent and if you don't have that at least some connections and STAGE PRESENCE. So many idol performances come across as high school talent show performances.

Also, I find it weird that in these moments south koreans can research about the response of an idol overseas, but play ignorant of how offensive it is when someone does blackface on their television shows. Hmmmmmmmt.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Can someone write in to this journalist and let him / her know Allkpop =/= overseas?

And most of those people probably only watch the video, comment and never look at it again.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I dunno if they're complimenting her or dissing her...
    .__________.

    ReplyDelete
  49. why would you check allkpoop for anything..... but she really is using media play.

    ReplyDelete
  50. But Nate has a history of troll ands haters :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Of course. Allkpop selects and promotes rookies or those otherwise irrelevant. There's either money, contacts or other perks trading hands, more than likely;; . And when someone 'messes' with them (or doesn't give them an interview lol *cough* Block B *cough*) they turn nasty. /shrug/

  54. Why the hate on i-fans....just because we give everyone a chance and try to judges fairly....

Her song has a good beat but sucks in showing off her vocals

She can dance which means she's good for something

    Plus she is pretty

What's so bad about giving her another chancr
