Journalists bait the haters with old photo of IU with underwear sponsors
As much as we like to blame netizens for this, journalists are really fueling the fire in this one. From what I gather, the picture's really old?

From my perspective, IU is not that stupid of a kid to accidentally release a picture like that on her Twitter for no reason. She was either obsessed with Eunhyuk or had ill feelings towards their relationship so she released it on purpose to take him down. The picture was up for at least an hour before she deleted it... The first day of the scandal, articles about it dominated the rankings before they were all taken down overnight. Then a few days later, articles sympathizing with IU started climbing the rankings.

She only sang that last part live a few couple times before just using a recording but the media just talked about it endlessly. And in the beginning of her debut, she came out on TV with a guitar a few times and all of a sudden she's being hailed as a talented musician ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

5. [+78, -26] The journalists know the netizens too well... They very well know what kind of response IU and 'underwear' in the same sentence will bring and they write up the article anyway. Celebrities will always be on the chopping block for anything.
