Shining examples of Korean entertainment journalism

Article: G. Gorilla proposes to Kim Joo Il in IU's practice room

Source:
Sports Seoul via Nate

1. [+174, -10] IU's practice room ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ wow the journalist is absolute trash, isn't he ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

2. [+162, -6] Are you fu*king serious ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ IU's practice room ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ I'm pretty sure including IU's name in the title wasn't absolutely necessary??????

3. [+139, -14] shaking my head at this journalist trying to stick IU in there somehow to get his article more views

Article: Yoo In Na clarifies bare face suspicions "I have make up on..."

Source:
Newsen via Nate

A bunch of articles were released about Yoo In Na's selca with journalists claiming she was bare faced... which led Yoo In Na to clarify that she was actually wearing make up.

1. [+234, -4] Yoo In Na never even said she was bare faced so why do these fu*king journalists make up their own crap and release whatever the heck they want?

2. [+206, -22] That kind of make up is actually quite light and doesn't make much of a difference once you erase it all ã…‹ã…‹ It's the people that wear circle lens and cake on the make up that look different from their bare face ã…

3. [+137, -7] She never even said she was bare faced and journalists went and put words in her mouth, making her get all the hate for supposedly lying. If being a journalist means you can copy selca pictures and write whatever you want about it, I'm a journalist starting today. I can write just as much crap about random selcas as they can.

Article: Goo Hara and Seungri, reunion with bare faces 'What kind of relationship do they have?'

Source:
Ilgan Sports via Nate

The journalist asks a question in the title and then goes into extreme detail how Seungri and Hara know each other in the article.

1. [+234, -22] Looks like you already know what kind of relationship they have, why the fu*k are you asking us, damn journalist ba$tard

2. [+210, -41] It's nice to have a hometown friend with you, very dependable~ They look nice

3. [+184, -36] Are you serious? You just answered your own question, hometown senior and junior ã…‹

  1. I'm kinda amazed they didn't said about choke/towel or whatever it is.
Or maybe they focused on that reporter compared to Seungri in this article.

  2. Seems the hate for incompetent journalists is bigger than anything

And the towel joke is strictly a thing among I-fans

  4. I wish netizens would act like this all time and call journalists out on their BS. Let them know that there should be a certain amount of integrity that all journalists should have and that journalists like these are crapping all over what should be an art.

  5. Yeah agree. I wonder how long people will keep joking about his scandal towel/choke etc. It's not funny anymore. Luckily, people already stop using rice cake on T-ARA.

  8. Probably because of their hatred for stupid journalist writing. I mean, even the American tabloids are written better than most of these korean articles.

But everybody knows (well mostly) that Seungri and Hara are both from the sametown town (which is Gwang-ju), as well as DBSK's Yunho. I remember Yunho mentioning about Seungri on a variety about 4 years back because Seungri went to the same school Yunho did and later on,m Seungri was a replacement for Yunho's spot on a dance team in Gwang-ju when Yunho left to debut in DBSK. :)

  11. The bare faces thing is so true, mot international fans are so fucking ignorant and love generalizing Korea.
99% of the times when the article's title says "bare face" the idols didn't said they were bared face yet these international dumbasses say Koreans are stupid for thinking light makeup is the same as a bare face when in reality it was just a dumb journalist trying to gain attention.

Plus, when the article says: netizens comment "unni you're so pretty" blah blah
those aren't REAL netizen's comments, those are just comments made up by the journalists.

  12. The last one could have just been a rhetorical question, unless those don't exist in Korea.

  13. My thought exactly. I thought many articles from other countries phrase their titles in this manner?

  14. No matter how unprofessional the author of the first article is, he reached his objective, and that is what matters.
