Reader requests. As always, please feel free to specify any articles you want to read in particular. I don't watch dramas so I have a difficult time picking and choosing articles of interest so it'd help if you maybe added a specific actor or a scene you wanted to read about. After an episode airs, the rankings are usually dominated with 5~6 articles about particular scenes which is why I don't take on drama articles on my own unless requested (too many tabs!!)

ReplyDeleteWell... the drama IS about school life, so a romantic back-plot wouldn't be unrealistic. But I don't think they'll make it the focus of the drama like Boys Over Flowers.

ReplyDeleteIt's very realistic. A good combination between humor and drama.
I also wish there won't be love triangles or any major focus on romance. I want couples to happen too but it should happen naturally without taking the spotlight on what's really important on the show.
I think the reason is because the drama is mainly focused around school life in Korea. Even though love triangles may really exist in school, it's so cliche for a drama which is probably why people don't want it in there. It would take away from the "aspect of school" theme if they began to shift the story towards a love triangle.

ReplyDeleteThe episodes move pretty fast so there isn't a lot of painful dragging.
...That comment about love lines was stupid. There was news that the drama had decided to do away with the student love lines. Just because two characters have a scene together, doesn't mean they are going to like each other.

ReplyDelete/clears throat/ Thank you so much for doing this! i'd been meaning to ask you about school...and if you want specific kim woo bin please! :) this drama is really so great it really i think shows us the obvious that not everything is so transparent as we think it is..and that what we think we are doing is the "right or moral" thing is actually quite wrong but still manages to hit a chord..and makes it feel like a foreign and new concept (or maybe im just sentimental). i think i've watched/read this type of drama a dozen times..and everything mainly i can forsee it...but im still wishing the days would go by faster because if nam soon and heung soo don't kiss and makeup and continue that wonderful friendship (misdemeanors and all if they must) I WILL CRY. Maybe the acting is just that good? or is it the shared experience of going to school? maybe both. One thing is for certain the drama really draws you in! and Oh Jung ho I'm rooting for you! :) Oh dear this sorta ended up like this i just wanted to comment about my love for heung soo and nam soon's friendship ;_; and that if there is a love triangle i will be disappointed, because really they don't need another reason to feel guilty/sacrificial over...not to mention it will get superbly tedious to watch. (heung soo you can go with kang joo though) :) THANKS!
ReplyDeletejung oh REAAAALLY gets on my nerves... like I'd totally to push him in front a truck or something O__o he must be a really good actor! there weren't kids that crazy in my school but I still remember all those bad kids that got us n trouble and that still graduated just like me even when they never opened a book...

I was thinking that a love line would be fine as long as it doesn't get to be the main focus. A 'little' romance would be a nice icebreaker from all the drama and tension. Crushes and like are part of school after all.
