Krystal and Jiyoung to become campus buddies at Sungkyunkwan Uni

Article: 'Maknaes' Krystal and Jiyoung to be classmates at Sungkyunkwan University

Source:
Star News via Nate

Krystal and Jiyoung finalized their college decisions by both choosing to enter the acting and arts major at Sungkyunkwan University.

1. [+652, -116] Idiots that don't even know how to solve into factors are going to Sungkyunkwan? ㅋㅋㅋ Fu*k, what a drop in quality for the school

2. [+567, -99] Looks like that college just takes anyone that's a celebrity... Do they not realize that it drops the status of the school

3. [+552, -96] They're obviously just trying to get a free diploma without actually attending classes. What a pity for the kids that studied with nose bleeds all year long in high school. I get that they're singers and that they're talented, but I can't help but feel bitter over them being admitted for being celebrities... They should reveal their grades to see if they'd even be admitted on their own merit.

4. [+161, -30] Song Joong Ki shouldn't even be brought up because he applied and was accepted on his own before he got popular. What's ridiculous is people like Moon Geun Young and Go Ah Sung being admitted into majors like psychology and Korean literature through special treatment. I feel bad for the test takers for those majors, imagine how they'd feel.

5. [+146, -17] This is why celebrities fu*king disgust me. The representative being Seohyun ㅡㅡ She acts all high and mighty like she's always working hard and striving to learn. She acted so smart, but it was just that: acting. She got into college through special treatment in the end. Seohyun disgusts me because she tries so hard to create this image for herself. On one show, she says she studies after her schedules. On another TV show, she says she has to sleep early because of her skin.

6. [+129, -37] Celebrities honestly get into college way too easily... No matter how hard the entertainment industry is, it can't be harder than high school seniors.

7. [+83, -8] I saw this article with my friends the day before the college entrance exams and we all said, "We studied harder than them so we can get into a good college." Yesterday, when the results came out, the joke of the day became, "Let's all shake our a$$es a few hundred times and go to Sungkyunkwan University." Yeah, I hope those two work hard on their college careers knowing every second that they could've never gotten into that college on their own merits.

8. [+80, -3] Why is a singer entering an acting major? When all she did was a few sitcoms?

9. [+65, -6] I'd understand if they were good at acting... but they're not. Because of them, two acting hopefuls have lost their spots in the major ㅋ I don't even count on you attending classes.

10. [+62, -15] They must be so happy, I'm so jealous of them. My friend got waitlisted for an arts major and is saying she wants to die because no one's dropping out while other people like them get in so easy.

well fuck you too , random netizen
This explains the poll that I saw where Seohyun is the 3rd most hated female idol lol

  2. Pressed netizens are pressed

    ReplyDelete
  3. I thought Krystal was already an actress but seriously they act like idols enroll in college just because they can.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Oh really?! :O!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. ooo, but she seem so genuine

    ReplyDelete
  6. She a good actress lol

  11. The girls of SNSD are some of the fakest idols in the business, they are only admired for their plastic beauty and not their musical talent, Stay pressed, SONEs.. their days are almost over.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I don't understand why they are so mad that those girls want to study acting, it's not like they entered medical school or something ¬___¬

    ReplyDelete
  13. I love you Krystal. Jiyoung, mehhh

    ReplyDelete
  14. seohyun should get off her pedestal

    ReplyDelete
  15. wtf no, she is bad

    ReplyDelete
  16. Seungri is the best example.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Not sure if it's the same in Korea, but in Australia, Acting can be the major of an Arts degree, which are sort of a joke compared to Law and Engineering.

    ReplyDelete
  18. None of this reasonable, it's pure trash talking. If it was reasonable they'd try to see both sides of the equation instead of getting angry at the words college, accepted and idol in the same sentence.

    ReplyDelete
  19. "Why is a singer entering an acting major? When all she did was a few sitcoms?"

someone know if Jiyoung did sitcoms too?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yes, even theather actors with a lot of experience have it difficult...for some it even takes 3 to 4 years to get in.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Act? She's emotionless and does practically nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  22. lol bye bye love for Krystal

    ReplyDelete
  23. Krystal and hara are ok actresses.

    ReplyDelete
  24. koreans hate idols especially the one who want to be actors.

  25. i bet she dry humps sweet potatoes instead of masturbating

but i guess that's beside the point

    ReplyDelete
  26. yeah he only went to party with his classmates and not to classes.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I thought he and Yuri get into college through admission tests.

    ReplyDelete
  28. in my country

  29. antis these days ROFL

    ReplyDelete
  30. What's the difference between an Arts degree and a large pizza?

A large pizza can feed a family

    ReplyDelete
  31. Jiyoung not rite? Damn she is so useless, won't ever shine being in the same group as divine Hara tbh

    ReplyDelete
  32. LOL. You're the one who's pressed.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Probably because most are too busy to show up to class so they're taking a spot away from other students that work hard to get in and will actually show up.

    ReplyDelete
  34. this sfm. even the slammed at seohyun full of hatred because of her image as an idol. they dont really think if that image is actually herself. well since they really dont know them.

read some reply comment at that comment on seohyun, some said that they used to be in same class with seohyun in a few subjects but totally different with that alleged person post. well, they didnt know the artist hence they just slam everything they hate about that person.

    ReplyDelete
  35. As far as I know Hara is the one acting in Kara.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Seungri 'dropped out' of college after some time..

    ReplyDelete
  37. B U T T H U R T...I understand them being upset but a lot of them sound like I said, butt hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  38. people will money buy spots in these korean colleges and nobosy says nothing

    ReplyDelete
  39. Korean high school students go to school at 8 AM and comes back home around 10 PM after studying hard at school and hakwon. Many middle schoolers do this too. They study for one exam "Suneung", the CSAT, to enter a good college (especially in Seoul where almost all the elite schools are). Of course it's upsetting for them to see how idols easily get accepted to colleges in Seoul. Sungkyunkwan University is one of the most prestigious universities in Korea. I don't understand why they're accepting so many celebrities.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Stay pressed hater. Nation's Girl Group heck yeah~ and let's say they do "lose" their fame. They still got enough money to live like princesses for the rest of their lives.

    ReplyDelete
  41. If anyone's pressed it's obviously you. What did SNSD do? Did they touch your oppa in a naughty place? There there, it's okay. /pats back

    ReplyDelete
  42. Jiyoung had her own drama 'Rainbow Rose'~ it aired first in Japan.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Do you even watch SNSD? she was raised upon certain values. She grew up thinking education is everything. That's who she is.
But really, she's not "mighty" or "mean". she's known as one of the most polite idols out there. She doesn't act all bubbly and sweet, she's truthful but not rude. Personally, I respect her a lot. She have values and dreams, she tries her best to not make mistakes. She's different, but she's still good in her own unique way.

    ReplyDelete
  44. She acted in Rainbow Rose and that kara japanese sitcom

    ReplyDelete
  45. Jiyoung's acting was good? or worse than hara?

    ReplyDelete
  46. is the same for art, law and med students ?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Damn, they really shit on everyone this time. Surprised to see Moon Geun Young and Seohyun getting heat. Some of the comments sound like outright bashing, but I can see where they're coming from. Getting into prestigious universities is way competitive everywhere in the world, probably moreso in Asia. Imagine studying your ass off everyday since probably junior high, then getting waitlisted because a bunch of celebs got a free pass.

    ReplyDelete
  48. pressed? of course those people have every right to be mad. idols who get in through special treatment take place of an earning student undergrad. are you 12 years old or just that ignorant?

    ReplyDelete
  49. generalizing even if that is true to an extent

    ReplyDelete
  50. medical school or performing arts there are actually students who are willing to take 3 hour bus rides to attend a 300$ 1 hour class while idols dont even show up. they take up space.

    ReplyDelete
  51. attitude wise jiyoung>>>>>krystal

    ReplyDelete
  52. because that happens everywhere but i think just the fact that alot of idols dont even pay 50k becuase the college wants endorsers

    ReplyDelete
  53. funny how the people claiming netizens are pressed are the same people who go claiming they wish they lived in Korea

    ReplyDelete
  54. well wat else is new? idol bitches krystal and seohyun, plastic, fake, stuck up and untalented to boot getting into acting school when they can barely do their job properly as singers lol. only acting they know is how to be fake, but netizens already figured them out so them acting fake aint fooling anybody

    ReplyDelete
  55. If you apply for popular art majors like acting, theater & film at colleges in Seoul, you need to 1) have good grades and CSAT scores and pass practical tests, or 2) win awards at major related national events (like youth film festivals) and pass college interviews. It's a lot more difficult to get into law and med schools.

    ReplyDelete
  56. 1. Law school is separate from undergraduate studies.

    2. Korean universities operate differently than American universities.

    - American universities will admit a specific percentage of applicants, the percentage varies depending on what school you go to. Harvard has a 7% acceptance rate while other schools will have a 37% acceptance rate, etc. When you are an undergrad in an American university, you can go in undeclared if you want.

    - Korean universities have different programs (acting, psychology, engineering, etc.) and each program has a specific number of spots open per year. Each program has a different type of entrance examination, and the people who score the highest get in. The examinations are known for being notoriously long and difficult. High school seniors are constantly stressing more and more each year about college acceptances.

It's not arbitrary like American universities, where they take into account that if you had a 3.9 instead of a 4.0 it's still okay because you did two varsity sports and were the student body president. The people who score the highest, get the spots.

Or at least... that's how it's supposed to be. That's why idols who get into college without having to take exams are such a travesty to high school seniors in Korea. Those seniors work their asses off studying... I feel sorry for the students who applied to that university's acting program and got rejected because of Krystal and Jiyoung. Two spots... GONE, because they think they can just do what they want.

So the answer to your obviously sarcastic question is that, in Korea, YES it is difficult to get into a school's theater program. It is about as equally difficult because the odds are almost always the same, unless you pick a major that is sort of obscure or unpopular... like French or something.

The number of spots open depend on the amount of funding the department gets. The more popular majors receive more funding and are able to accept more students. But more openings in a program don't mean they're any easier to get into because it's THAT much more people you're competing against. You can literally lose your spot and wind up on the wait list if you get just ONE more question wrong than a person who was accepted.

    ReplyDelete
  57. They pretty much do.

Why would an idol, who already has acting experience and can get acting jobs without having been trained properly, go to school for acting?

SM and DSP are certainly not so poor that they can't afford acting tutors for their idols... And idols are always busy because of schedules and rehearsals so they barely go to class in the first place.

Like, why bother even applying to college if you're not even going to be there for the classes you take?

    ReplyDelete
  58. you can be raised upon ~good~ values and not like look down on almost everyone who doesn't share the same values tho

    ReplyDelete
  59. How would you feel if you went to school for 14 hours a day, studied your ass off when you get home... did that throughout your high school career... Actually scored well on the entrance exam...

But all your dreams are crushed because the program you wanted to get in simply didn't have enough room for you because they're admitting two idols, who haven't studied or taken the exams, instead of you?

You're obviously very ignorant. Even if you are unknowledgeable in how Korea's school system works, use your common sense.

Idols are barely in high school to begin with because of their trainee activities or (if they've debuted already) their schedules. They don't go to school with all of their classes through grueling 14-hour days. They don't study all night for three years straight. They don't take the entrance exam.

And yet they manage to get into college anyway? How STRANGE.

Natalie Portman took time off of acting, studied her ass off in high school, took the SATs, and applied to Harvard just like everyone else and got accepted on her own merit. She went to classes just like everyone else, and walked away with a degree from one of the top universities in the world. THAT is praise-worthy. THAT is the right way for celebrities to go to college.

I'm failing to see why idols deserve special treatment and why their fans are defending them.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I don't really feel sorry for any of those students. People who put time into writing comments like that should focus on their own studies if they really wanted to get into the program they want to.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Maybe because some idols want to go to college you ever think of that.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I'm failing to see why the idols are at fault and not the college that is apparently such an honor to get into.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I wondered y many ppl wants to b an idol..now i know y..pity those students who struggled to get in without any sleep...and if these idols are serious in their studies prob netizen would forgive them a little...but they usually dont..i respect joonki for making it in the uni on his own effort!

    ReplyDelete
  64. wow this kind of reminds me of what happened to my best friend who's uptight like Seohyun, except she was clearly hated because those people are jealous of her.

My friend is not quite a celebrity, she's an aspiring model who won some model competition awards... and then she's accepted to the nation's 2nd best medical school through special admission. This friend of mine is really really hardworking than she's naturally smart, if you know what I mean -- just like Seohyun, imo. She did well and worked so hard in both field, but people hated her anyway. Other students looked down her special admission and ~glamorous~ modelling activity that made her skip few classes, other models think she's a pretentious b*tch when she read med books during shoot breaks. This girl is really hardworking and she just wanted to do her best in both worlds. It's sad that they think negatively of her when she obviously worked harder than any of them. Yes, she's in through special admission, but she worked so hard to do well in it because she wanted it that bad. She ended up ditching her model career to focus on the med school, though.

Sorry for the long rant, I still feel bad for my friend for all the hateful comments she heard.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Actually i am rather sceptical about idols getting in uni via special admissions to become actors or actresses.. my respect to the few celebrities who entered prestigious universities before debut. It is their own merit.. even if they may not have graduated since they debuted when they are undergrads, they are still respectable

    ReplyDelete
  66. an acting school doesn't really have much of a reputation in my country compared to a law one so Im curious about this too.

    ReplyDelete
  67. people always fail to accuse the right person. Why aren't they blaming their system?

    ReplyDelete
  68. I feel like you're insecure.

    ReplyDelete
  69. This is why I'd prefer if celebrities just get into no-name colleges. I know there are certain idols in college but they don't try to get into the big ones and they don't publicize it either. I wonder if these articles came out because of the popular status of KARA and f(x), respectively, or because their companies are trying to hype them up (with obvious negative connotations =__=).

    ReplyDelete
  70. ..and because of that a lot of Korean students who were rejected from universities commit suicides everyday. I just want to share with you guys a documentary on high school students in Korea. Instead of saying that K-netizens are harsh and all, it would be great to understand what made them reacted the way they did.

  71. donguk uni seems popular among celebs
i dont understand why sungkyunkwan 'u' give special admission to these idols?

    ReplyDelete
  72. sorry to be rude but when is the expected release date of this movie?

    ReplyDelete
  73. How is she looking down on someone?

When I watched Dangerous Boys I thought she was so annoying, trying to force her 'values' on the kid she was helping. But as the show progressed you could see she was trying to understand him and really help him with his goals.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Some of the dumbasses here calling ~butthurt and ~pressed don't have to work to enroll for Korean colleges though. lol. You're just mad that people are shitting on your idols.

    ReplyDelete
  75. She's not even that popular. no matter what she does or wear, or no matter how good of an image she tries to project she'll never even get close to Yoona, Tae, Jess or even Tiffany's popularity. Remove the SNSD in her name and people won't even care. She's lucky she has SNSD, without it I doubt people will buy her goody-two-shoes image. The end of SNSD would also be the end of her career. Maybe then she can focus on her studies since people claim she loves studying so much. She's majoring in acting but can't even land a small role in dramas or musicals.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Seohyun is majoring in acting but couldn't even get a small role in a drama.LOL. The irony.

    ReplyDelete
  77. then go to college through the same process as everyone else. That's what ppl are trying to say. If these idols really want that college experience/degree, then don't go in by the back door.

    ReplyDelete
  78. what do you have to do to get into med and law school in Korea?

    ReplyDelete
  79. she was mediocre, I guess she can learn something from that university.

    ReplyDelete
  80. It's okay, you're not rude. It is expected to be out in 2013, but you can check for the updates at their Fb.

  81. no, not really, don't be butthurt XD

    ReplyDelete
  82. ikr? in my country too

Arts has a low reputation. It's like fighting over an easy career

    ReplyDelete
  83. Ppl ARE blaming the system, just that those articles don't get posted on here because they don't pertain to specific celebs. But celebs who willingly take advantage of the system deserve some criticism as well

    ReplyDelete
  84. Knetizens always talking about how their kids work incredibly hard... has it occurred to them that the idols work hard too? They might not be studying, but they're actually working, and we all know how idol schedules are.

    ReplyDelete
  85. for koreans

    Art >>>> med > engineering > law

    ReplyDelete
  86. "Moon Geun Young and Go Ah Sung being admitted into majors like psychology and Korean literature through special treatment. I feel bad for the test takers for those majors, imagine how they'd feel." Excuse me, MGY is smart and actually went to all the classes, she even stayed 2 years away from the screen to give her 100% to her studies and finish it before coming back to the screen. She isn't like some idols who says they'll go to college and don't even go to one class for month. She goes to all the classes and really studies hard. So please don't compare her.

    ReplyDelete
  87. people with money, fame or power in the government enter colleges like nothing, it happens everywhere not only in korea.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Thats the equivalent of saying well Kim K and Paris Hilton worked "hard" to get to where they are now.

    ReplyDelete
  89. The issue here is not whether or not they're working/studying hard. The issue here is that they're working hard and not studying and still get a free pass into a really prestigious university.

The system is really messed up; I just don't understand it.

    ReplyDelete
  90. yes, both sides work hard, but they do it for different reasons. Students work hard to get into college; idols work hard for fame, so its unreasonable for schools to give priority to the latter. The emphasis is on what those two parties are striving for, and the point is that an idols' job, no matter how gruelling, is irrelevant to academics and idols should not make use of their 'job achievements' to get into college.

    ReplyDelete
  91. lol. Writing a comment like that takes less than a minute.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Actually that scene from DB was edited. There's a deleted scene on youtube where you can see she actually meant well. In fact I think Seohyun was one of the few who took the whole thing seriously. I think she's naive and sheltered, but she doesn't act all mighty and crap.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Did she ever even try though? SM could easily get her any role they want (see Yunho, Yuri, Sooyoung, Jessica), but she clearly doesn't want to.

    ReplyDelete
  94. lol in what world are their days almost over? They are on top for CFs, Twinkle was a hit, their Japanese album sells better than Kara's. Stay mad!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Ikr, I was surprised to see Moon Geun Young getting criticized. Surprising cuz mostly k-netizens have nothing but praises for her. Was a lil' surprised at Seohyun's too. Because most SNSD articles garner alot of positive hits (on this site at least) from k-netizens. I guess this issue is really close to their hearts. :/

    ReplyDelete
  96. You clearly don't know SNSD. Seohyun doesn't in anyway look down on anyone. Do you have a proof?
Other than Sooyoung, she's the one who's always visiting the sick coach SNSD's dormitory guard said that she's very polite and she's always smiling to him and asking him if he needed anything.

    ReplyDelete
  97. butthurt? yes, obviously. Do you know how it feels studying hard to enter a college and have your spot taken for someone who 1. Didn't study to get that spot 2. Probably not going to attend classes 3.The only merit they did is being a celebritie. Excuse me, but is fucking annoying and disgusting, and sadly it happens everywhere, not only in Korea. You'll know how it feels if you ever try to enter a college and fail because that spot that was supposed to be yours now is for an idol, a celebritie, a random rich kid or the son/daughter of a politician, who did nothing to deserve it.

    ReplyDelete
  98. well he got into college through admission tests, and when he couldn't attend he just dropped out.

    ReplyDelete
  99. The problem her is that those hardworking idols are taking spots from people who actually study. Idols work hard and have time for nothing, the why taking spots of people who can actually attend and study?

    ReplyDelete
  100. In America, most actors opt to go to actual arts schools. Several actors have graduated from Juilliard:

Robin Williams, Mandy Patinkin (Criminal Minds, Homeland), Megan Dodds (Ever After, CSI NY, House), Kelsey Grammer, Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter), Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy), Val Kilmer, Laura Linney, James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Christopher Reeve (Superman), Kevin Spacey... etc. etc.

In Korea, there aren't a lot of schools like Juilliard. There are dance academies, but none of them operate like an actual college where you can major in drama, music, or dance.

Not sure what country you're from, but chances are... because your country (as you said) doesn't put a lot of stock in acting, people who want to study dance, acting, or music apply to colleges or conservatories in other countries. France is popular for those who want to study music after high school. So is Germany and Italy. :)

    ReplyDelete
  101. You say that now, but a lot of famous film directors, producers, and writers hold Bachelor's degrees in drama or similar subject and can provide for their family perfectly fine.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Then, like moonbeam05 says, they should abide by the same rules and regulations other college applicants go through. They should put in the same amount of work and take the same entrance exams if they REALLY want to go to college.

Did you ever think of that? :)

    ReplyDelete
  103. What makes you think all of them didn't. Not all idols have fame to get into a college on special treatment.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Those idols are the ones that choose not to go to school and choose not to take exams.

They chose their career over school and then when the times comes for college entrance exams, they know their peers are in class or at home studying until they can't see straight... and have the gall to accept the free pass offered to them.

You're obviously narrow-minded and unsympathetic to everyone who isn't your oppar or unnir, so cool. People like you can't be reasoned with.

But if you think for one moment that the universities allowing this shit to happen AREN'T being criticized for it, you've got another thing coming. Lol. Just because NetizenBuzz isn't posting articles about it doesn't mean it's not happening.

Korea's #1 university (Seoul National University), at least, refuses to give free passes to idols. And for that, I commend them.

Honey Lee is a great example of a celebrity who takes no free passes. She received both her undergraduate and master's degrees from SNU and she's currently a doctoral student there, because SHE believes in hard work even though she's a celebrity. Same goes for Kim Tae Hee who, incidentally, graduated from the same university. The two of them are even very close friends. Birds of a feather, after all.

    ReplyDelete
  105. like more than 90% of the actor and directors in the world were rich XD

    ReplyDelete
  106. ikr? Jiyoung is more talented and pretty than IU.. she should be the national little sister.

    ReplyDelete
  107. "You're obviously narrow-minded and unsympathetic to everyone who isn't your oppar or unnir, so cool. People like you can't be reasoned with." lol You know nothing about me. How are you going to tell me what I think? You don't even know who my oppar or unnir is. What I'm trying to prove is that people aren't thinking reasonably. An idol gets into college and the first thing people jump at is special treatment. Take a second and think, really think of other reasons that could factor why they got into college because not every idol that's going is getting special treatment. If people stopped and think there wouldn't be this many problems now would there?

    ReplyDelete
  108. IU has a better attitude than krystal as well, but she is alot more talented in terms of singing and imo is ALOT prettier than jiyoung and krystal.

    ReplyDelete
  109. pressed sone much?

    ReplyDelete
  110. It was more directed at the koreaboos on youtube and allkpop. They say the same things as some people here. smh

    ReplyDelete
  111. i was talking about korea specifically.

    ReplyDelete

  113. The problem here is that these people didn't even take the test. The colleges made the decision before even seeing their CSAT test scores. the CSAT test scores accounts for a huge percentage in the admission decision making. For them to accept the free pass and for the university to give them one is unfair to those that study hard and can actually do a decent job in the acting field be it musicals, small theater productions, or TV productions.

  116. Basically... get good grades as an undergraduate student. And by "good", I mean perfect or as close to perfection as possible.

And pass the entrance exams for medical or law school, which are even more difficult than the ones you took to get into university four years before.

Students aiming to get accepted into law school or medical school usually aim for the top schools, that's why they study so hard.

American universities have a larger number of universities with really good medical and law schools, but in Korea all of the elite universities are located in Seoul. And of those elite universities, only a handful of them have really good law schools and medical schools.

  117. Yes, and those idols get praised for it, although those idols are few and far between. A much larger, more significant percentage of idols opt to take the free pass instead.

In the past two years alone, I have not heard of a single idol who was accepted into university of their own merit. Even the ones that choose to major in something that isn't acting, like Moon Geun Young, got into university with a free pass.

  118. Like I said, people like you can't be reasoned with. Argue all you want until you're blue in the face or until you can't type anymore, but you still can't be reasoned with because you refuse to look at the problem from more than one perspective—that's what makes you narrow-minded.

The information you have in your narrow little mind is based purely on what is translated here or on other websites like AKP or Soompi for you. I'm pretty sure you don't go on the Korean news portals and read for yourself ALL of the responses left. I'm even more certain that you don't actually know any Korean high school students who are currently in the precarious situation of there being less and less available spots at universities because more and more idols are debuting and taking free passes.

Do you know WHY I'm so sure of those things? Because of the things you post here. You show an incredible amount of ignorance and do nothing to remedy your lack of knowledge on the subject you so adamantly argue about.

Until you can learn to open your mind and look at the situation with a clear head, there's no point in explaining anything further to you.

    Carry on.

  125. LOL!So is she some big shot now who just turn down offers? If you're a fan you know how SM would probably grab the first opportunity to improve her image. Why is she majoring in acting if she clearly does not want to act? Clearly, she's probably not being offered any, not even a small role or a cameo. Stop your delusions! SNSD is popular but not all members can stand on their own. If they decide to disband, would Seohyun be able to have a career of her own? Tae, Yoona, Jessica and Tiff obviosuly can. Sooyoung is a promising actress eveny Yuri, sunny and Hyo are great at variety. Seohyun? I dunno. She can sing but she can't be a solo. She can't sell on her own. (proof: her flop OST for Fashion King). So she better go back to school and focus.

    ReplyDelete
  126. But why not? The system allowed her to enter college in easier way, so she used that chance. You can found special admission almost everywhere, and it's legal. It's there for people with non-academic achievements. So why not using your other achievements to help you with your academic career? That's the thing about our society, people are too quick to judge. Say that she's studying in between shoots because she had final test the next morning, but nope, people wont care why she's reading... they'd just assume she's a pretentious girl who would look smart. I mean, how would you even know she had a stick up her ass?

  128. I am not delusional dude. I am just asking why are you so sure she tried to act in a drama. Like I said, SM managed to get roles to awful actors like Yunho, Yuri, and Minho. They could easily get one for Seohyun too. It's all about how powerful the company is, not about the idol itself. Do you seriously think Yunho was offered the role in the drama he's about to shoot, along Soo Ae and Kwon Sangwoo? His previous dramas flopped miserably, and his acting was always panned. Seohyun is not a good actress, and she doesn't have that X factor to be a solo artist. But I don't think she actively tried to get a role yet. In fact, I think she's more interested in musicals.

    ReplyDelete
  129. LOL. When did I say that she tried to act? How could she, if there isn't any role for her. LOL. Oh since she can't get a drama role, let's just say she's more interested in musicals. Her co-members in SNSD has done musicals, dramas, variety shows on their own (even the claimed least popular Hyoyeon had her variety show, even Sunny who's not a really good singer has acted in a musical) already except her because of one thing you yourself said so, she doesn't have X factor. So now what would be the reason to cast her if she's inexperienced and lacking X-factor at the same time? Read your comment again so many inconsistencies [SM can easily get her a role (it's been 5 years since she debuted, so what is SM waiting for), you don't think she actively tried to get a role [as if it is a decision she alone can make]. Probably no one is interested in having her be it a drama or a musical. No X-factor celebrity, mediocre talent in singing and dancing, average popularity, boring personality.

  130. I guess you are right. I like Seohyun, but I also do not understand why she took acting as a major in university. It's pretty silly, as she is a bad actress as far as I have seen. I think her talent is more in singing, and I don't think she's mediocre at that. She's the only one in SNSD who has some kind of lower register, it's just that her breath control frankly sucks. But she was the most consistent in The Boys promotions. Too bad she lacks emotions when singing and has zero musicianship.
I don't think SM knows what to do with her. I think they could get her a role like they did with Yunho (which was my initial point, but I confused myself), but they do not want to.

-are you kidding me? Seohyun was acting? lol! *claps* story maker~ seohyun is really smart and it has a lot of prove's and they say that Seohyun is the smartest on her school Seohyun really loves to studdy and its not acting =_= aigoo~
