1. [+880, -70] I don't care about that stupid anchovy visiting the sick sh*t, just stop it with the idols already ã…¡ã…¡ Why do these producers think we have actors at all if they're going to use idols? Use people like Kim Go Eun for a change ã…¡ã…¡

2. [+847, -75] Are they kidding? Do we not have ANY actresses???????????????

3. [+717, -106] Does she really not know what kind of response she'll get if she accepts the role or does she know and still insists on coming out? I still can't forget her hypocritical first kiss, first love stories ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ So shameless ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

4. [+137, -6] Don't use the honorable Lee Soon Shin-nim's name however you want with such a stupid drama plot

5. [+112, -12] She'll probably act like she's brave and she's okay~ She'll try to get sympathy from the public by looking like she's still trying her best~ But who cares, she'll fall to fatigue on the drama set~ And Anchovy will come to visit her again~

  1. i don't care about her scandal but there's too much idol who tried acting but did it crappily instead, give someone who's a real actor/actresses a chance please urgh. at least someone who takes acting seriously and not doing it just for a side job. all the idols out there who considered acting just do better at your singing career and don't snatch somebody else's field :S and all the producer out there, having idols in your drama doesn't guarantee high ratings and you all should know that already, right?

  2. This would be literally the worst thing of her to do. She's still recovering from her scandal, and to take a role in a drama, where netizens are sick and tired of idols, would be a very poor choice.

  3. I really hope she didnt accept this offer.... her music comeback is better than acting comeback... the article just said that she's only the potential lead role right? it's not confirm yet....

  4. she deserves to be the best candidate for this role. She already showed her acting on Dream High and since it was her acting debut, critics gave her positive reviews.

  5. but it sometimes guarantee overseas export.

  6. other actors/actress struggle with several minor roles first, idols aways get an easy way fast. tsktsk.

ah seriously, why doesn't see comeback with a new song with much mature concept?

  7. yep for example to the beautiful you is now a really popular drama in my country and that drama wad really bad and had low ratings in Korea

  8. There're so many advantages of using Idol as lead role for any drama, doesnt matter how low the rating is in Korea, the deama producer still can sell it to other countries for more profits.
Casting A-list actor/actress would harm their profit, and nobody would give a fck ab the drama if it has rookie actor/actress in there.
    See my point?

  9. well yes but i think korean dramas were also popular in the past when a lot of idols weren't involved in it yet... i mean, full house, all about eve, what happened in bali, endless love, they're all popular without any idols...

  10. Full house = RAIN. But IA with you about the other dramas

  11. oops forgot abt it! but then again i and many people didn't know rain was a singer after i watched the drama :/

  13. Uh no IU...you were cute in Dream High...but that was not acting...you seemed just like yourself. Honestly, maybe she has potential in acting and no one knows it, but either way at the end of the day a) its not her time to come out and showcase it b) she should just focus on her album/mature look instead.

  14. well daesung killed someone in his is still in the industry, whats the difference if its iu

  15. Do people still believe that actors and actresses get cast into dramas because of their skill? If that was true Goo Hye Sun would never get cast in anything again.

  16. Daesung didnt show his face on tv....

  17. I agree that it is unfair to give roles to idols when other actors/actresses could do much better, but netizens need to get over it, because idols will keep getting roles in order to export these dramas overseas, no matter how shitty their acting is.

  19. They say she is in her Spring comeback

  20. I'm in complete agreement with you. It isn't fair that idols who can't even act and haven't earned their stripes get lead roles from the get-go just because they're idols.

That's probably why Korea generally respects actors and actresses more than they do idols.

IU’s agency stated that in preparation for her comeback next year, they will be making their focal point the concept of “coming-of-age.” Next year will mark her fourth year since her debut with hit tracks in her career such as “Good Day” and “You and I” lighting her path to fame. She promises to show the same characteristic energy and spirit but show something more mature in her lyrics and music. Even though IU has had many offers to participate in dramas, she is solely focusing on her next album her agency stated.

  21. LOL what country are you from? Y'all have horrible taste in dramas, man.

  22. Daesung isn't getting any lead roles in upcoming dramas, is he? What's Up was completed before the accident. He's just been touring with Big Bang.

And technically, the court ruled that he was not responsible for that man's death. Only god knows the truth. Too bad for you, I guess.

  24. With any luck, producers will stop doing this seeing as how the Hallyu movement is slowing down. Japan is already determined to shut it down completely, if the lack of Kpop artists at Kohaku and KARA's comparatively dismal sales are anything to go by.

I mean, the moment KARA starts selling as low as SNSD is a red flag right there.

  25. she was pretty bad in dream high though...

  26. LOL! It's probably somet third world insignificant developing nation, that considers everything from abroad cool and awesome. xD

  27. A lot of female actors in Korea have to provide sexual services to VIP clients to get a major role. But that's not just in Korea.

  28. She has a lot of acting experience, she's been acting the cute innocent girls since debute, perfectly fooling everyone, and hiding that she's a loli carnivore.

  30. All netizens seem to do is complain. Everybody had to start somewhere and she did have minor roles before and her Samsung commercial was more like short dramas. I don't see anything wrong with her wanting to try acting. These hypocrites. Give these netizens the chance that she has and I'll bet they'll snap it up even if they've never acted before in their life.
They should just face reality and realize that opportunities come for famous/connected people. That's just life.

  31. 'Third world' country or not, you should not be demeaning other people's country! Every country IS a significant place!
