I don't think netizens know what to make of IU and Eunhyuk's scandal anymore

Article: 'Come to PLay' Eunhyuk, the power of his self gag in recovering from his scandal

Source: TV Report via Nate

Editorial type article where Eunhyuk joking about his scandal with IU on 'Come to Play' helped recover his image with the public a bit because viewers enjoyed that he was comfortable enough to laugh about it and play it off as a joke whenever it's mentioned. The journalist goes on to say that it's different from other idols that go through similar scandals who act like their careers are in the graves or act awkwardly whenever it's brought up.

1. [+288, -63] He enjoys it while IU gets hated

2. [+252, -51] But this is definitely better than acting like he doesn't know anything or that nothing's wrong ă…‹ă…‹ă…‹

3. [+83, -42] Whoa... I'm embarrassed for him at the lack of comments this article has.

Article: IU donates 10 million won to alma mater and asks for secrecy, why?

Source:
OSEN via Nate

1. [+561, -218] The public is so hilarious with their hypocrisy. On social news articles about sexual assault crimes, they're all freaking out and demanding that jail time be increased, but on articles about entertainment celebrities, they sexually assault them themselves with their words/comments. I'm really embarrassed to read some of these replies.

2. [+465, -260] Let's not leave hateful replies on a good deed like this.

3. [+485, -282] Did she gamble? Did she do drugs? Did she strangle her partner on top of a bed? Did she drink and drive? She donated two months ago and the article is only just coming out now. Don't you think it's a bit hypocritical to think she's doing this for media play?

If she did donate months ago before the scandal, then no reason to call on out on it. Hell, even if celebs donate after or before scandals, i'm sure their time and money is still appreciated and put to good use.

life will go on, I would have done the same if people around me kept bringing it up and go with the mood

its not like people around iu say it infront of her in shows like they do with eunhyuk

he have to hear people talking about it in almost every show

do people expect him to cry and lose his carer over something like this

  3. Ngl I'm over this story though I do still feel bad for IU

  5. If netizens don't know how to respond to this scandal anymore, it means it's time to move on and leave them to fix the issue amongst themselves.

  6. Soooo.....I'm still wondering.......are they dating?

When Eunhyuk was asked this question on the show, what does he say exactly? Does he deny a relationship?

ya i bet he enjoy going in every show hearing people teasing him about it

  9. Daesung didn't drink and drive, nor did he do drugs or choke some chick in bed - so no, Daesung is not mentioned.

  10. As they say "it shall come to pass." This scandal fizzled out fairly easily. Now if only the "visiting the sick" jokes would finally die...

    please leave IU alone

    ReplyDelete
  14. ya he only murdered someone :D

    ReplyDelete
  15. No, he didn't "murder" someone. Murder involves premeditation, since you're a jackass I'll define that for you : Planning it before hand. Daesung didn't murder anybody. What you're referring to is manslaughter. Daesung was negligent, and accidentally ran over the body of man who had flew off his bike and was already laying on the ground. That is not murder. Save your dumbshit for somebody else. Thank you.

I wonder what'll happen during her comeback, should she have one soon.

    ReplyDelete
  18. wish I can fuck IU (with her make up on)...

    ReplyDelete
  19. It was manslaughter smart one, not murder.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I feel bad for the two, glad that the scandal is dying. If i hear someone call her a slut....

Gotta give it to SM for not saying anything. They are on top for a reason, they know how to handle things and the industry and def how peoples minds work.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Daesung wasn't mentioned o.O

    Gamble - I don't know, but it's not Daesung
    Do drugs - E-Sens or G-Dragon
    Strangle - Seungri
    Drink & Drive - Nickhun

    No, Daesung here *shrug*

  24. Not long ago a scandal like this involving Korea's national sister and possibly one of the best selling Korean groups of recent times woulda made everyone got batshit crazy for year and year. Now, at the beginning Netizens were in shock (understandable) but now don't care.

What I'm getting from all this...K pop media is slowly becoming like western pop in that very little shocks us as we've become used to things like idols dating/having a life outside of work. Heck it wasn't long ago idols couldn't even admit they're dating, now we have a second gen idol (my queen Sunye) getting married and various idols coming out as being in relationships....

    Times are changing~ s l o w l y

  26. and there will be more sex scandals, drugs and all that.

    ReplyDelete
  27. it means that Eunhyuk is not popular and people only gave him attention because he had sex with the nation little sister, IU.

    ReplyDelete
  28. all i know is that iu a slut

  29. "1. [+288, -63] He enjoys it while IU gets hated"

    this is the sad true.

    ReplyDelete
  30. the gambling reference was towards rain... if anyone remembers thats. (since mostly everyone here is kpop noobs)

    ReplyDelete
  31. there were rumors of them since some time ago, it seems like they started dating when IU was 16 and they broke up this year.

    ReplyDelete
  32. 1. Attaching a smiley face to a comment pertaining to murder is so disrespectful and highly inappropriate.

    2. Murder is defined by the intent to kill someone.

When you go to someone's house with a gun and shoot them in the head, that is first degree murder.

When you pick up a letter opener that happens to be lying on a desk and stab the person in the throat next to you, that is second degree murder.

When you're arguing with someone and you push them off a balcony, that is voluntary manslaughter.

When you accidentally hit a pedestrian while driving (drunk or not), that is involuntary manslaughter.

The lawsuit concerning Daesung was dismissed because it could not be determined if he was at fault for the death of the victim because the victim had already suffered a very serious injury before Daesung ever reached him.

Korea's judicial system has dismissed it completely, so it is neither murder nor manslaughter.

Next time, use your fucking brain before you spew shit out that makes you look like an ignorant, uneducated moron.

    KTHNX. <3

    ReplyDelete
  33. It was neither. The case was dismissed.

    ReplyDelete
  34. If she sticks with her innocent image, it'll backfire completely. If Loen is smart, they'll reinvent IU's image and not play up the "innocent little sister" thing.

    ReplyDelete
  35. pfft... SUPPOSEDLY but never proven that they dated when she was 16

    ReplyDelete
  36. Even with a new image, I'm sure she'll still receive some criticism.

    ReplyDelete
  39. before the "scandal" begin IU already have millions of
haters/antis waiting for her to make mistake so they could ripe her off until
    she disappear but fortunately they've FAILED. if it’s true they were dating;
she said it herself that her fans told her to kept it hidden as much as
possible so i guest its haters/antis are the busybody one that demand her to
tell the truth lol. keep wondering and they both have the right to keep silent.

eunhyuk gag on come to play maybe he’s try to be the bad guy to protect
his girlfriend or maybe it was his revenge to IU for breaking up with him,
    whatever…

    ReplyDelete
  40. true fame come along with antis/haters, sad but true lol.

  41. anonymoose will slut shame anyone that accidentally posts a pic of themselves with their bf on a coach. seems slutworthy

    ReplyDelete
  42. Nah, don't think so. Things are so much crazier in western pop, it's not even funny. You just need to take a look at Lindsay Lohan to see that Kpop is nowhere near as bad as western pop yet.

    ReplyDelete
  43. you should start read social news articles about sexual assault crimes in your own community more and quit reading kpop gossip and scandals lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. she is 19 that is fucking gross tbh

    ReplyDelete
  45. so? 19 is old, i've fucked younger
don't get deceived by IU's innocent looks
she's a wide bitch in bed and loves getting choked during sex

    ReplyDelete
  46. IU fans still stand strong for her...and eunhyuk, what's there to laugh about? that's how you act as a guy huh?

    ReplyDelete
  47. What Do you want him to do then? Sacrifice everything for a women he might not even be dating anymore? Any other way we would just make things worse. not only for him but probably her as well. It's better to simply laugh it off. Besides it seems like everyone is forgetting the it wasn't him who posted the pic. It was IU. Even if it was an accident.. it was still very careless of her to do that because something like this could ruin not just her career but someone else's as well. Both have spent years training and suffered a lot to get to where they are... and after all of that.. to think all of it could have gone down the drain due to someones "little mistake". I feel bad for iu. Accidents happen but as a celebrity she should have been more careful She doesn't deserve all this slut shaming. But she kind of brought it upon herself to be honest. and ppl are angry that netizens are hating to iu but if eunhyuk had posted that picture .... you know all hell would break loose and iu fans would probably literally end his career... doubles standards all around~

  48. .......
Strangely, I would like to see this.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Oh yeah. I was thinking they were refering to Shin Jung Hwan.

  50. Not according to the Korean Justice Court, he didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Good. It will slap some sense into stupid kpop fans that think oppar and unnir are ~innocent~ pure baby angels. I bet behind the scenes, kpop idols are just as much messed up as American stars. They party, do drugs, have sex.. the whole nine yards. It's just that entertainment houses in Korea keep that behavior under tight wraps bc they have almost unlimited control over the media (a very bad thing).

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yeah. Having hypothetical sex with her single boyfriend. How SLUTTY! Do you know who else is a slut? Your momma.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Eunhyuk could have shut his g0ddamn mouth for once. Like damn this nigga is so thirsty for attention 100% of the time. He should've considered IU's feelings. How would joking about it on TV make her feel? How would bringing an issue that was just getting old back into the limelight affect her?
Like it's not that complicated. It's called being a decent fucking human being.
But oh dear g0d No. People are hurting his fee-fees by talking about it. huhuhuh TT^TT poor oppar!!! #truevictim What a bitch ass nigga. I hope IU is the one who dumped his ass.

  57. 1. How can you say this with a smiley? Are you happy someone died or what?

    2. How did this comment even get any likes? .___.

  58. In the end, it doesn't matter if the public forgives him but if he forgives himself. That sort of experience... Idk. If I were him I probably would've ended up on the couch of a shrink twice a week. :/

    ReplyDelete
  59. It would certainly be more aesthetically pleasing~

LOEN would never let IU go as far as grabbing a man's cock on stage, but if they ramp up the sexiness to what Ga-in did for "Bloom" it could be reeeeally awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I guess. But at least her image will be more... honest. And it'll be less stressful for her in the long run if she didn't have to pretend to be this virginal girl who's too shy to kiss a guy.

    ReplyDelete
  61. LOL @ "with her make up on"

She does look pretty fugly without it

    ReplyDelete
  62. Agreed!
I don't think many will complain, as it'll be a much more honest image; and that seems to be what they're asking for.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Manslaughter =/= Murder. Moron.

    ReplyDelete
  64. you are disgusting, the man was already dead before Daesung accidentally ran over him. So he's not a murderer.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yeah IU is getting mad hate. SMH.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yes, someone did die. But there's a difference between murder and manslaughter.
People were throwing out the word 'murderer' like halloween candy.

    ReplyDelete
  67. No, it's possible he did not. If you skipped the above explanations: the court dismissed the case against Daesung because it could NOT be proven if the man's death was a direct cause of being hit. The victim's family dismissed the case. He suffered a serious injury, and whether Daesung hit him or not, it's possible he still might have passed.

So, in conclusion, Daesung did not 'kill someone'. It was negligent, but it was not murder. Saying that is disrespectful to all parties involved.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Wow, now i know more about Korean people, some of them are too dangerous haha.
Maybe they just get jealous with them. Why don't they leave Eunhyuk alone and care more about their things?

    ReplyDelete
