I don't know. What I've heard is that there are groups with huge fan bases and a lot of popularity BUT they don't have public appeal. One of those groups must be Suju because I almost never hear anything good about them from these K-netizens.

I highly believe it's SM power who made them relevant in news sites. And then their activities in variety shows. But sometimes their loose mouth also ruin them, which is probably why netizens hate them? Other than that I don't know really LOL. If you see their digital music sales, it's so bad ELF themselves can't deny it. Basically people who listen to their music and watch their MV are ELF only. And intl fans who knows this situation would definitely not tell other fans publicly, to take care of their image.

ReplyDeleteI feel bad for the...10 rest of them? Maybe there are a few that's hard to like, but that doesn't mean everyone of them deserves the same treatment.
I don't like Super Junior, but I don't understand all the hate, when they are a big part of the Hallyu wave craze. They have so many fans in China and Southeast Asia and they help raise interest in Korea. Normally having a big international fanbase would garner them a bit of respect from Koreans even if they don't like their music (as it's the case of some other SM groups) but with Suju, it seems like everyone dislikes them apart from ELFs.

ReplyDeleteThere are a few members who are alright, but remember who else in in Super Junior: Leeteuk and his stupid mouth, Siwon the Preacher on Twitter, Shindong the fat hypocrite, Kangin the delinquent... And maybe you can add Eunhyuk to that list.
There are a myriad of small reasons why Super Junior isn't liked. Just because they aren't as bad as T-ara doesn't mean they're as popular as they used to be. That popularity is all in the past already because no one respects them as musicians anymore.
What the fuck did Eunhyuk do? Said by the members He's said to be the sweetest and most geniune of the group. That's why Heechul and Eunhyuk are awkward, they're opposites. "Eunhyuk is too nice for you Heechul."
Deleteif you watch any of their shows, you'll realize that. And Heechul is the one who wouldn't wait for a girl even for 10 minutes. Lol.
He is very, diva-ish. Even though he does the manner hands, which means he kinda respect other people's personal space, his emotion doesn't seem to be.. understandable. He's also very proud of his AB blood, which is famous for being crazy and unstable. He also doesn't listen to other people well like his stylist and his group members sometimes, so if there were to be a quarrel with his girlfriend or wife, I think it'll be hard for him to be tolerant.

ReplyDeletetbh even though I'm an ELF I do understand why the knetizens don't like certain members, namely Kangin, Leeteuk, Shindong, and recently Eunhyuk.
ReplyDeleteLeeteuk and Shindong might have pretty loose mouths but you can't deny that they're pretty decent in other ways. Leeteuk for example has been praised by many of his seniors for always bowing 90 degrees and greeting everyone respectfully. He's also a really hardworking person and I do think that he's done a pretty good job leading 12 members by himself. I disagree with Kangin's actions in the past but now he seems to be generally keeping a low profile nowadays, so I guess he did reflect a lot. Shindong though.... I don't even know anymore. I always thought that Eunhyuk was the most likeable, he didn't seem to receive much hate before, but after the recent scandal he's obviously being hated on. And Siwon, aside from his preaching, seems like a proper gentleman in every other way. Kibum's just receiving hate for being MIA for so so so long and even I have pretty much forgotten about him. Heechul's just crazy although he hasn't been in any major scandals. The other members though, have kept pretty clean, so I don't understand why knetizens choose to generalize and hate on the whole group. That might have something to do with the fact that SM keeps giving them crap songs for their title songs while their self-composed songs go unnoticed. So everyone just thinks that they're talentless as a group. But individually I realized that KRY do get praises for their singing skills, especially on Immortal Song. Leeteuk also was praised for going into active duty.
Basically, SJ is way more popular outside of Korea. They're leading the Hallyu wave and usually while that's something that most knetizens will praise, it just doesn't seem to be happening with them. Also, they're being hated on as a group, but individually, they do get praises.
because their fans made a girl commit suicide and general people or netizens hate them.. but to be honest, its those silly fan girls not the artist who did that... I will never understand how things run in korea...
