Male group rankings are kind of a clusterfuck, tbqh. Because all of the top male groups: Big Bang, Super Junior, DBSK/JYJ are all embroiled in some kind of major scandal.

ReplyDeleteThe separate WG territory on the edge represent their American expansion.Kara's territory on the edge represent their Japanese expansion: notably bigger in popularity than their Korean popularity.
T-ara's territory on the edge also represent their Japanese expansion: drastically larger than the tiny part on the main land.
The two SNSD territories on the edges represent their Japanese and American expansions. (If the area connected to Kara is Japan, then maybe it's Asia in general? SNSD's popularity in Japan can't be that much greater than Kara's)
There might be more hidden meanings in the map, but I still can't get why Crayon Pop is there with a relatively large area.

I know this is hard to accept that Sistar has become one of the top tier groups but yes it's true. They blew up this year, 2012 is totally their year. Everywhere in South Korea and having 2 mega hits this year.
Am I just missing A Pink or what. Their fancafe numbers seem pretty high.

ReplyDeleteTheir album and repackage sold around 135.000? Not to mention they are liked by general public and doing good digitally.
Other 2 you mentioned is questionable but f(x) is more popular than Sistar. Public buys Sistar songs buy they have really low physical sales due to number of fans they have.
