  9. Artist of the Year should go to the artist that did the best in all aspects

    Big Bang:
    - Incredible digital sales
    - Incredible physical sales
    - 800,000 world tour
    etc

    But since Melon only counts digital sales (70%) and voting (30%) for daesangs, it's even stranger.. There is simply NO way that Beast could make up for the lack of digital sales with votes. Big Bang had 12% of the votes, Beast 37%. Big Bang has 1.1billion DA, Beast has at best 450mln (that's me being generous). It is the same when they left GD out.He has triple the digital sales of 2NE1 and had much more votes. It's
    just Melon selecting winners at will!!!

    I like Beast, but Melon is really... unfair this time. Beast even has less DA than G-Dragon (450mln vs 670mln, notice that Best also had 5 month, GD only has 3 month) but they kicked GD out of TOP 10 and give Artist award for Beast. Even Beast looks un-proud when they gets it....

  76. I honestly wonder if they're just trying to convince themselves they don't give a fuck, thinking if they say they don't give a fuck so many times it will become true. The last thing I think about when I see VIP's or YG's stans is not giving a fuck, because clearly they give lots of fucks, I guess they just think after releasing their butthurt, by saying they don't give a fuck that means its true.

    Sigh. It's actually quite sad to watch them try and separate themselves, yet they fail miserably because at the end of the day, they are one of the most sensitive fandoms out there.

    Tip VIPs: Not giving a fuck includes the actual act of NOT CARING. Meaning, you wouldn't be commenting on here and expressing your butthurt if it wasn't that big of a deal for you. Maybe this might help your act go along more smoothly.

    I doubt 800,000 have attended considering how YG has been inflating the numbers ie he said 10,000 attended the concert in Peru, when only 7,000 did. Plus, I'd say over 200,000 of those attendees are double time goes considering how many concerts they had in Japan and Hong Kong (There are plenty of people who went to every concert big bang held in their country)

    I would hardly call if a world tour, also. Though it was far more of a tour than that basic ass 2NE1 concert that didn't expand anywhere far but the US and a few more Asian countries. YG has kept his toes in shallow water with this concert, it's been more like an Asian tour + their American concerts, (4 in the north, though both didn't sell out only the first dates, and 1 in South America) + a concert in London. Hardly global at all.

      They covered North , South America, Europe, Asia. More than half of the continents on Earth.

Newsflash, there are thousands of people who write better songs than GD yet they don't make as much as him, does that make them less?     I didn't watch this, but when I read about the results I pretty much had the same reaction. LOL.

    Beast didn't do very well this year. Compared to their work last year, especially.

    If Melon didn't want to give Big Bang the award (for whatever reason... feuding or not attending or both) they should have given it to a group that the public would actually believe deserved it... Sistar did pretty well this year.

  92. You know, you trying to downplay their world tour sounds a little like sour grapes. The only time venues were not sold out were for added dates when the first ones sold out. Also, people going to multiple dates happens in every fandom - look at TVXQ, SuJu, SNSD. And it's more of a "world tour" than any other kpop artist has been able to acheive.

  108. Great. Now people are going to hate B2ST just because they recieved an award... I'm pretty sure they were suprised as everyone. It's not their fault that someone decided to give them this title! I'm a B2UTY and I didn't even think about my boys to receive this award. They had their "Beautiful Show" and relased an album only few months ago. As an fan I'm just as shocked as everyone...
    But that doesn't mean that people have to write everywhere that "B2ST is crap" or something like this :/

  122. i just came from their london concert and yes the numbers were a bit exaggerated. the arena holds 12,000 people but it was just over a half full. maybe next day it will be full i am not sure. but oh my god the concert was the best. just everything was so cool. and although i didnt like sungrie much before i totally changed after the concert. GD is GOLD aka too good to be true

    Remember that Superstorm Sandy reached New Jersey and the rest of the New England areas affected on October 29 ~ 30th and that includes the city of Newark, where the concert was being held.

    If people didn't show up for any of those dates, it's probably because they were mourning the loss loved ones who died and the complete and utter destruction of entire communities. It's probably because they decided to help in the relief effort.

    Every other concert that Big Bang has had in other cities on other dates have been met with huge success.
