2012 MBC Gayo Daejejun: Big Bang, Bom

Article: Big Bang's first return to MBC Gayo Daejejun in 4 years 'commanding charisma'

Source: Newsen via Nate

1. [+254, -85] Can't Big Bang ever get ending on these kinds of Gayo Daejuns. They have so much fun on stage, it's like watching a concert

2. [+237, -89] Unlike other idols that remain in the box with their performance styles, Big Bang is really carefree. It's like watching a concert. When GD thanked his fans at the end, I realized that GD was the only one out of everyone at Gayo Daejun to end their performance with a message of thanks. Big Bang seriously has great stage manners. Big Bang was the best out of this year's Gayo Daejuns.

3. [+221, -74] Even without back dancers in the beginning, Big Bang managed to fill the stage right up! Awesome!

2. [+67, -10] Big Bang was so great! Do well in 2013! Fighting!!!

3. [+68, -16] I thought I was watching a YG concert ㅋㅋ amazing!

Article: Park Bom's diet is a success 'doll-like beauty gains attention'

Source:
Newsen via Nate

1. [+301, -44] Bom, find strength kiddo

2. [+268, -148] I think Park Bom put an end to all of the controversies over her face and her live ㅋㅋ she was honestly pretty and her live was stable and great

3. [+256, -142] But are people sure that Bom's face is like that because of botox? I heard she had thyroid issues or something that made her swell up. I'm not her fan but it'd be mean to hate on her if she was sick...

  1. I agree about Bom's performance with Epik High, she did a lot better than I expected.

  2. Bom's live singing really surprised me. She was actually on point! plus I saw her making different facial expressions :D

  3. GD is known to be very humble. Add this to his list.

  5. i hope next year that Big Bang get to close a gayo daejun. they did well at sbs and at mbc. i felt sad because i realised that i will never see them live in my life but one can keep hoping :)
Bommie looked pretty but her dress was standing out on its own, it had random chains but she looked lovely.
And there is a reason why there is "Epik" in Epik High, they did so well, espicially at sbs with the collab with Simon D and Dynamic Duo. The Cypher was just fucking awsome.
and hats off of to the rest of 2ne1, they did really well with 1234, CL's rap was unexpected and lee hi did a good cover.
ahh they all did really well :)

  7. Tae's outfit just a big no.
GD's, please take that robe off.
TOP, can't see your handsome face and smile! Lately you've seem down.
Dae's, love the hair up but not the green.
Seungri, looked like a kid and his smirks/smiles were adorable.

Not really happy with the outfit choices this time but I guess Dae's little unbuttoned, chest showing made it alright.

  8. YG shutting their haters up with their performances as usual

  9. are they kidding about bom lol. having a thyroid problem doesn't change the structure of your face

    ReplyDelete
  10. Nope, I'm still talking.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Or the fans are praising them...

    ReplyDelete
  12. their performance is good..but taeyang looks like a janitor..GD looks gay..only daesung and seungri looks normal....

bom is gorgeous FROM NECK TO TOE

  13. Gd has manners but he is far from humblr. Reading his interviews you can tell hes cocky. He has a big head but everybody who is cocky acts like Kanye west. And considering respect is something important in Korea, its in Gds best interest to play that part.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Being confident is different from being cocky. I've read/watched a lot of GD's interviews & such & I have never heard/read about him saying that he is the best here or there. He almost always says, I believe in my work & though I hope it is perceived well, I will stand by my music & make sure I'm proud of it (something along those lines). Can you really deny GD's talent compared to a lot of the acts out? He's an ARTIST while other ate just dancing dolls (not all but a lot). So stop hating & stop trying to put down praises someone deserves!

  14. I'm a gd stan and he is not humble lol.
He thinks very highly of himself and tends to talk like he is more than what he is, and thats probably my biggest peeve with dear GD.. he acts as though he is in any sense of the word original and sometimes talks like he's the obly person who makes his own music, and that his music is beyond the pop term, which tbh its not.

Gd is not humble. He is polite. Theres a difference.

  15. Bom was lovely.
CL was horrible as always, and that rap was dumb as hell. "Known for the click clack " does YG realize they are not gangsters? Anway, she used to be talented now she's shit relying on flash and flamboyance. The whole baddest female shig got to her head, she's trying too hard now.
    Minzy was perfect though.

    ReplyDelete
  16. She is still talented, take all the flash and flamboyance away and she'll still deliver. She's already got her talent in the bag and many acknowledge it, she just needs to take it back out and utilize it more.

...and your comment about the whole click clack, gangster stuff...it's just a phrase/concept...i'd understand if no one ever made a reference let alone use that concept before but no, it's been used many times as a concept so eh.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Imo CL lost her ability to rap in 2010. And her lives are never good because she always shouts. She has no skill, she isn't mastering rhe art of rap she simply relying on her image. Take awau the flash and flamboyance and you'll see just how average she is.

    ReplyDelete
  18. CL is the biggest wannabe in kpop. She rises rihannas dick like no tomorrow. 1/2 the shit she does looks like she's watching riris videos and 3/4 the time her style is a rip off of rihannas except she doesnt do it right.

    ReplyDelete
  19. sorry but lol @ humblr. hahah.

    ReplyDelete
  20. netizens are so damn wishy-washy with bom :/ either they're looking for internet points with their nonsense or they really don't use their brains. clothes, makeup, lighting affects the way people look in pictures! how is she fat one day and skinny the next according to them? i acknowledge her PS but that's not even what is making her look different most of the time.

mbc was not thinking putting bigbang in the beginning of part 2. i stopped watching when bigbang finished performing, and there was still half a show to go.

    ReplyDelete
  21. CL wears clothing so, no, not like Rihanna at all. Also 1/2 of the time CL is styled.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Lol. Rihanna wears clothes as well sweaty and as of late, CL has been wearin less and less so what's your excuse now? Look up rihannas fashion then look at CL. She's a swag jocker cause she has no style herself.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That's part of the rapper persona...are you new?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Damn I was expecting a stronger comeback than that.

    ReplyDelete
  25. She seems pretty swaggerjackery to my eyes. She was even supposed to shave half of her head just like Rihanna did. I mean YG steals American artists swag all of the time CL is no different.

    ReplyDelete
  26. She never knew how to rap. I can't believe people were creaming over that little verse for The Leaders. They should keep writing for her until she knows what she's doing.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Lol. Please take the excuae for oppa elsewhere there are plenty of rappers who are confident but don't speak about themselves like they are the best thing since sliced bread.

& yes you can be confident and humble. I am saying GD is not humble he is polite. People take him bowing at everybody as a sign that he's not a cocky bastard but he is a cocky bastard.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Uhmm Click Clack in her rap is the sound of stilettos or heels which she often wears.

:"Hit with em style. I’m known to click-clack"

    get it? lol Try again.

    ReplyDelete
  29. "she used to be talented"

Honey you can't take away "TALENT" either you have it or you don't. In CL's case she has it but isn't delivering lately contrary to what many hoped but doesn't mean its not there somewhere within.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ikr. She never could deliver. People think cause she curses and squints her eyes at the camera that shes the baddest shit in the world. Sigh. Not even close.

    ReplyDelete
  31. well, in the hip-hop world click clack is the sound of a gun being cocked right before someone gets shot and since YG is soooo hip hop... faux gangster is their middle name you know.

Regardless that rap was wack, pulles straight out of kreayshawns ass crack. I can see CLs basic ass making a song like gucci gucci

    ReplyDelete
  32. She never had it. It was hype. The nly thing she's good for is stage presence and talking during interviews.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah tell that to Tasha, one of the best female rappers in Korea who has acknowledged CL's talent. Peace~

    ReplyDelete
  34. LOL. LOOK AT ALL THESE HATERS HATING. PLEASE TRY TO BE POSITIVE. A NEW YEAR HAS COME. GO DO SOMETHING POSITIVE.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't give a shit a out Tasha mentioning CL. Tasha can shit on CL without even speaking. Eminem has praised lil wayne, that doesn't mean lil wayne is a good rapper, it means its good press. And tasha isn't just going to flat out say CL should never fucking touch a mic. She's too nice.

    ReplyDelete
  36. just cause its often referred to that doesn't mean that is the meaning of what she used in the rap she delivered.

Your argument is pretty much done with, since all you can give is comparative hate comments that doesn't even make sense even if my explanation was right. Anyway, have fun hatin' lol Happy New Year ^_^

    ReplyDelete
  37. Um... what?

Any VIP who's actually MET GD at a fan signing or concert or even at the airport will tell you that he's really nice. He poses for pictures and gives autographs when he can and smiles and greets his fans. Even at Big Bang's concerts, he thanks the audience several times for supporting Big Bang and for being there. All of Big Bang are very grateful and kind to their fans.

Idk what your problem is, but you're speaking as if you know GD personally or something. I'm willing to be my dog's house that it isn't the case and you're just talking out of your ass.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Lol. Typical YG stan to back out when you can't say shit. Kreayshawn is a female rapper. But since yg fans only pretend to know hip hop it doesn't suprise me that you don't understand. I'll make it simple. Cls raps are as wack as kreashawns if not worse. Gucci is a song made by kreayshawn which I coyld see CL making and see people like you calling it the holy grail :) thanks for the new year wishes though sweetheart.

    ReplyDelete
  39. let's go back to "it was hype" if CL wasn't "talented" to begin with her predebut videos wouldn't garner any sense of praise (talking about 'praise' here not views) especially since she isn't your typical ~korean beauty~ she would have been overlooked and forgotten right from the start but guess what? she wasn't. People genuinely liked her and looked forward to her debut to the point that even the best established rappers acknowledged her talent and her capabilities.

So for YOU, to say that it was all "hype" right from the start or even "good press" when she was a nobody back then makes no sense.

Also, even if Tasha was "too nice" she wouldn't have brought up CL's name in the first place she would have brought up another rapper, in the end she did acknowledge CL and her "talent".

Am I saying CL is great 24/7 and that omg she is the best !!!!11111 ? Definitely not but the girl has TALENT and talent does not go away. She has problems utilizing it yes but definitely not without talent.

(wow took longer than I thought. wtf is this essay? LOL anyway...)
    BYE.

  40. I have met GD hun. I went to his concert VIp tickets and everything you just said are examples of him being polite. And GD is very polite as I said already. POLITE. polite =\= humble. Get that shit through your head now and it will make understanding this a lot easier. Just look at the way he talks about hinself/ the eay he talks about those around him and the pedestal he had has himself on. He thinks he is the shit. Anybodu can see that, he is just not on the Kanye level of it yet meaning he's not rude or an ass 1/2 of the time. Gd has manners and he uses them he is also polite, but he thinks he is this important all being sent from the hip hop heavens and its easy to see that in his interviews. But I am willing to bet that youre upser because I'm not a GD stan who thinks he is this humble guy who just likes music.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I actually am aware of Kreayshawn and have heard of some of her songs, but I don't really care for her generally.

I'm bidding goodbye because no matter what I say you are set in stone with your "views" so really there is no point arguing. We will keep disagreeing and shit and i can spend my time for something else more efficient.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Actually. If you don't nurish talent it can be lost.if a basket ball player doesn't practice and forgets all about shooting hoops, he's not just going to be able to go back and get it right quick. If a rapper doesn't rap and test themself they can lose the ability to rap. Get it?

    ReplyDelete
  43. That's the thing....

"she has it but isn't delivering lately contrary to what many hoped but doesn't mean its not there somewhere within."

Pretty much. Lol Isn't that what CL is doing here though? She's "practicing" / performing to get better in the future...my point really is..Her so called "TALENT" is still there, it didn't go away...

    ReplyDelete
  44. The centeral essence arouns 2NE1 was them being the female big bang that's was cause such a ruckus over the girls, it wass all hype. And what kept the people was her presence, CL can't rap for shit, but she has presence on stage. That's why people liked her. 2Ne1 had the most hype for a girl group ever. So it was hype.

And Tasha DIDNT BRING HER UP if you read the entire interview she was asked about CL. So siiiiiiiiiiike.

    ReplyDelete
  45. If they didn't deliver to the "hype" they would have been forgotten regardless.

And yes, I read the entire interview...She was asked "Q. So far, it seems there isn’t anyone particularly outstanding except for T Yoon Mi Rae. This is partly because T Yoon Mi Rae is really exceptional but also partly because there seems to be a lack of female rappers. I’m curious to know what you think could be the reason for this." No mention of CL whatsoever. TASHA was the one who brought her up.

    ReplyDelete
  46. CL has been practicing being terrible. If she was preforming to gwt better, she would show progress not regression. I honestly don't think she could do shit now since she's stuck in baddest female mode.

    ReplyDelete
  47. no worries, i didn't get "hate" from that. lol

    ReplyDelete
  48. You just made CL look even worse of a rapper if that's what she meant. That doesn't even make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  49. YG artist are always DAEBAK!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. How does that not make sense? lol have you ever heard of a clacking stilettos? If she sound worse for you that can't be helped when that is what she meant lol.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I loved GDs outfit this time.

    ReplyDelete
  52. uh, I've heard the sound but come on now. "I'm known to walk in stilletos"? If that's all she can come up with then I wish all the YG stans luck while they stan for that shit.

    ReplyDelete
  53. u must be blind or on some drugs... listen to the lyrics n look at her mannerisms she's motioning gun use.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ah, I think BAP is also pretty good, while Teen Top... lipsynced?

    ReplyDelete
  55. You talk like you judge people. And if people thinks like you then people could also say some idol are fake with their humble and innocent act. Or some idols that says mean things wasn't a joke but it was because they really are mean.. People that don't like GD always sees the bad and reading interviews just perceive it as cocky you guys see what you want to see. Don't you guys see stuff like when people insists he is talented he says he's not but rather a hard worker. He is just passionate and a perfectionist about music and a bit misunderstood. I find him very refreshing, he speaks his mind in interviews and I find it real. I rather this than mindlessly saying everything people want to hear to please everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  56. TOP looks like a royal guard, while GD looks like a pride princess................
    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/A_dADdTCUAE2-Ub.jpg:large

    ReplyDelete
  57. Lol you're kinda hilarious... you say you're a gd stan but look at all the long comments to prove that he is not humble and all your bad comments about CL.... come on we all know ur not! And don't say 'just because I'm a gd stan doesn't mean i agree that he's humble' you're too obvious.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Dude most girls are dress like that these days, especially with the damn bandana around their head like that.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Just because the person stated that he's fan it doesnt mean that he/she can't say something like that. As a fan,you dont have to be delusional thinking that their oppar are perfect. And what have CL has to do with this? Afterall, what that person said is the truth. Accept it.

    ReplyDelete
  60. um, news flash dumbass. CL doesnt choose her stage oufits. their stylist does.

    ReplyDelete
  61. So who is humble then? I can tell you that koreans are all generally well mannered and polite but did you know that inside they are much a different person? My parents and friends are like so nice on the outside but you would be shocked to know what they really think about other people. This applies to every idol. Even he nice humble polite idol could be the most jealous racist person. And people misunderstand GD alot because he is passionate and speaks more realistically he even says 'why so serious,'... And even blockb are judged by koreans as 양아치 which kinda means gangsters in a negative way but really it's just their goofiness which is also misunderstood. People should stop judging people they don't know personally because everything may not be what it seems.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Really?! I can't get into that coat he's wearing. Lately he'd been doing great but this one wasn't for me. I also felt like the whole concept this time around was a bit...weak seeing as how they went all out for the other perfs. LOL, I guess it's just been awhile that I've seen them in, less showy clothing so it was a bit bland. Still love them though! :]

    ReplyDelete
  63. Why don't you read his/her history. It's obvious. And why are you so quick to believe she/he really is a fan?

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm not a hiphop expert and don't really listen to hiphop but all I know is what I like. And i personally enjoy CLs voice so that's all I care about. Don't be too serious.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Haha yeah I can understand if people don't like the coat :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yeah, because Tiger JK [ Tasha's husband ] saying he wishes for a TashaX2ne1 collab means nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I'd rather seeing him being confident than being condescending. He talked in shows that he's making music, but he'd never being comfortable if everyone called him genius, bcoz he still want to improve, and he realized that how much he want to be original, he still attempt to make song that everyone could accept so he realize he'd still fall in category of pop idol. And whatever you say, you can't deny he was pretty much involved in making hits track and being one of pioneer of being an idol who make their own music.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Am I the only one here that thought CL was pretty smooth last night?? The soulful melody somehow blended well with her rap flow and she sang well. The baddest female statement had been hers since 2009. It's like rapper persona and I see nothing wrong with it. I Iike 2NE1's cover of 1,2,3,4 and enjoying all the girls..

    ReplyDelete
  69. if you sum up all about gd is not humble thing through that xxl mag interview, it's not right for you to even judge someone like gd who you never know personally, GD is always known to be humble by korean, and not just his fans but also the public knows about his humble things and also his scandals haha, public loves toward gd is bipolar, that boy is talented and humble but also scandalous.

    ReplyDelete
  70. YG did great END OF STORY. Does Shinhwa usually get positive comments they are very random and do&say a lot of crazy things

    ReplyDelete
  71. Well if 2ne1 is gong to debut in the states then she better step up her game or she'll be nothing but a laughing stock to the hip hop community, because you know that's who she wants to impress.

    ReplyDelete
  72. NO. Just watch strongheart episode 1
    its all there
seungri bragging, gd embarassed to death

    ReplyDelete
  73. oh we have an "expert" here talking about shit you don't know and people
    you don't know personally....stop pretending
like you know gd personally or like you could do 1% of shit cl can do....when i see
your ass up there dealing with so much criticism, hate and bashing and
still being able to go up on the stage every day and smash it being the leader of one of most successful groups in kpop, being respected and acknowledged by not just fans but other artists, i will
allow you all to comment about someone's skills talent or lack or either...until then take several seats and shut the fuck up....

    ReplyDelete
  74. Well yeah I'm gd stan too. And yes actually he isn't humble and thinks highly of himself. But I think that's also why he always try to be perfect and always expect something more from his ownself. GD known as perfectionist. He worked his ass off to reach perfection. So you'd see that in his works, right? Well you see in his young age how much he got at least. I think that why many people still gave respect of him despite his scandal. Because he is a pro for his work. I have no problem bout this, at least he never tried to look like bighead shit and being quiet polite and collected instead. And I prefer him to be more honest bout this rather than being completely fake, pursuing god-idol-like image. There're also some interviews when he said he wasn't comfortable some ppl regard him as music genius. Which tbh not that true imo. And I think he knew it, so that he felt like that. I think this kind of act was part of his rapper persona and also kinda like some motivation for himself to improve himself. Hmm I hope this perspective will bringing down your kind of peeve with GD a little bit .
Me though my biggest peeve with him actually his politeness lately. The "c*nt" beanie he wore in london really turn me down. I still being chill with the comme des f*ck down one and many other f*ck too. But I think this one word bit overboard tho. He'd still an idol and ppl will see this more than really notice him being humble/not which I thought his unhumbleness not really that standout. Bcz he always being polite front of public. It's like he actually want to said that curse word himself but he can't so he wore it instead. Idk if he really knew what's that word means or it just some swag statement duh. Thank God, he not wear it anymore. Or at least I think so.. I have difficulties to catch him up lately. Urgh sorry it kinda long, it just my love and hate for him. And I think you pretty much feel the same. But well, if he still produce good music, I'd still support him tho. And despite some of this peeves we have for him. He still have many more good side. Just hope he won't go too far.. BTW he really killed his short solo stage in sbs stage one!! Me Love the sbs stage more! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  75. Idc if he/she is really fan/not. Just wanna say I agree with the comment for not being delusional fan. Being a fan doesn't mean you've to defence all bout your idol has done. When the truth lies exactly in front of your face. We're being fan for pretty much the same human too anyway. It's good for being critical toward ur idol too sometimes, hoping with that he knew what he've done and being better eventually

    ReplyDelete
  76. So you're saying that people that thinks he is humble is delusional and the ones that think he isn't is not delusional? And you say the truth lies in front of your face? is that a fact now?
It's not to hard to spot a hater and a fan thats just being critical. Like your comments are critical but they weren't rude you obviously are a fan.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Err I don't remember I say sumthin like that. When I say you can see the truth, well because that IS the truth that GD wasn't humble or not always appear humble esp when he spoke bout himself. Idk if you really not see it or doesn't want to see. No offense. I just see your act as defending without giving any reason. That's why it look like kinda delusional to me. As a fan you can give your perspective why you not see it, right? Because well, fan supposedly know more. And the personal said about it for the first time deliver some truth. However he/she can judge that GD really is/always humble/not. No one here, I believe, knew how he really is and some concert/fan meeting can't judge his personality in first place. So I just put out my perspective about the reason behind it. Everyone have different ones. Haters or not. And it up to them they want their perspective seen cynical or not. And I think this case can be interesting discussion, bcoz the personal got some point imo, that's why I put my comment. And Of course I'm a fan too, that's why I want to discuss about GD in the first place..

    ReplyDelete
  78. You're taking this too far now.. I'm delusional? I've called hd a pimp lookalike before! You should read my comments all I said was to not judge people you don't know personally (would that be fair?) and all I was saying is that person is pretending to be a fan who says 'thinks he's the shit, thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread, cocky bastard etc? I wasn't saying he/she was not a fan because of the criticisms. That was all I was saying.

    ReplyDelete
  79. i dont understand how people do it really... it might be just me but i struggle to rememer what outfit i wore last friday and then there are people all eager to remember how X celeb's jaw line was four years ago... seriously? I understand their comments and critics on Bom's live skills but tearing her apart for her appearance... some rude people say they need to endure this cuz theyre public figures but no, nothing excuses you for being an arse... if ure gonna criticize, at least look at the mirror first :S

    ReplyDelete
  80. oh you did call him like that? It's just because you ask me whether it's delusional or not, so I just answered it back then with no-offense sign. See? Okay then, I just wanna say it was better to share some argument first before you pointed someone's comments.. And GD was a public figure, there are always good/bad judgement around him. But we can also still put some sense into it..

    ReplyDelete
  81. It's really hard to follow everything you said because you keep contradicting yourself all over the place probably because of your love and hate relationship with him like you said and also you said " actually he isn't humble and thinks very highly of himself," and can I just say to you this is not a fact I suggest you include "I think," at the start.

    ReplyDelete
  82. bom was good. epik delivered. gd is entertaining. CL is a hype woman...none of YG rappers are gangsta or close to the skills of Mirae or Tiger JK but they sell and asians are all into the fake gansta rap (american too to be fair). Bom has a great voice if they'd pick appropriate songs for her - honestly, she needs to leave YG label and go join Mirae and JK. they don't realize her talent and will move on to the next thing to sell. they are moneymakers, not talent or music makers. it happens because the artist gets power to influence their music (GD) but it's not typical.
