And there is a reason why there is "Epik" in Epik High, they did so well, espicially at sbs with the collab with Simon D and Dynamic Duo. The Cypher was just fucking awsome.

Gd has manners but he is far from humblr. Reading his interviews you can tell hes cocky. He has a big head but everybody who is cocky acts like Kanye west. And considering respect is something important in Korea, its in Gds best interest to play that part.
ReplyDeleteBeing confident is different from being cocky. I've read/watched a lot of GD's interviews & such & I have never heard/read about him saying that he is the best here or there. He almost always says, I believe in my work & though I hope it is perceived well, I will stand by my music & make sure I'm proud of it (something along those lines). Can you really deny GD's talent compared to a lot of the acts out? He's an ARTIST while other ate just dancing dolls (not all but a lot). So stop hating & stop trying to put down praises someone deserves!

He poses for pictures and gives autographs when he can and smiles and greets his fans. Even at Big Bang's concerts, he thanks the audience several times for supporting Big Bang and for being there. All of Big Bang are very grateful and kind to their fans.

I have met GD hun. I went to his concert VIp tickets and everything you just said are examples of him being polite. And GD is very polite as I said already. POLITE. polite =\= humble. Get that shit through your head now and it will make understanding this a lot easier. Just look at the way he talks about hinself/ the eay he talks about those around him and the pedestal he had has himself on. He thinks he is the shit. Anybodu can see that, he is just not on the Kanye level of it yet meaning he's not rude or an ass 1/2 of the time. I also felt like the whole concept this time around was a bit...weak seeing as how they went all out for the other perfs. Well yeah I'm gd stan too. And yes actually he isn't humble and thinks highly of himself. But I think that's also why he always try to be perfect and always expect something more from his ownself. GD known as perfectionist. He worked his ass off to reach perfection. So you'd see that in his works, right? Well you see in his young age how much he got at least. I think that why many people still gave respect of him despite his scandal. Because he is a pro for his work. I have no problem bout this, at least he never tried to look like bighead shit and being quiet polite and collected instead. And I prefer him to be more honest bout this rather than being completely fake, pursuing god-idol-like image. There're also some interviews when he said he wasn't comfortable some ppl regard him as music genius. Which tbh not that true imo. And I think he knew it, so that he felt like that. CL is a hype woman...none of YG rappers are gangsta or close to the skills of Mirae or Tiger JK but they sell and asians are all into the fake gansta rap (american too to be fair).
