I was wondering how SHINee would fare.. but wow... their live was so perfect even while dancing.. Lee Taemin really improved a lot.

Their outfits definitely were a mess. But their performance are always powerful.

ReplyDeleteThey will have a comeback in Korea next year but also Japan. This year they had a comeback but they also appeared in many shows & concerts in Korea.

ReplyDeleteI don't like them, if I wanted to listen to japanese songs, I would stan japanese idols. Plus, their japanese is awkward to listen to. Dazzling Girl was okay but I don't like their last one, sighs, it's just my opinion.

ReplyDeleteshinee is seriously awesome. They have hard choreography and songs with tons of adlibs/high notes and they pull it off flawlessly. it's sad that sm doesn't care much for them. I only realized how much I liked them after they went to japan. Their japanese original songs is so much better than the shitty cover songs sm gives them.

ReplyDeleteIMHO, only INFINITE, SHINee, Ailee, and TVXQ really brought it last night. Some performances like T-ara and Miss A were just embarrassingly bad omg.
SM want all their groups to be successful as DBSK AND BoA in Japan. And not just SM mayn companies have the same wish. Japan has the 2nd biggest music market. Japan=money.
ReplyDeletetheir live performance is the reason i finally listen to them.. i checked out all the covers they did on yt (my fave are forever more, so sick, incomplete, nessun dorma, amazing grace, i'm yours, like a man, incurable disease and many many more) and become so impressed and finally decided to become their fan..better late than never.
ReplyDeleteYES! Especially considering how difficult their choreography is... Seriously... SM did a really good job putting this group together. They should invest more resources in furthering SHINee's careers.

ReplyDeleteSHINee are amazing performers hands down. They must have lungs of steel to be able to dance and sing simultaneously so strongly. Their styling is lacking cohesiveness group wise for this performance, though, so I wish a little more thought had gone into their image since it's the Gayos and what not, where everyone's watching... But overall, great! Taemin showed his improvement as a vocalist once again and Jonghyun nailed that solo part. Can't wait for their other Gayo performances~
ReplyDeleteSHINee really is a talented group. I wish SM would spend more time on them, because they could become more well-loved. Maybe not to the level of SNSD, but more than they are now. :/
ReplyDeleteHonestly I love practically all of SHINee's Korean discography and I think their eclectic sound as a group stems largely from the fact that they ARE given so many cover songs. They've done a lot of songs by artists that have nothing in common, yet their covers can be compared to one another and a single style identified. That ability to take 2 completely different sounds and be able to present them side by side (think Juliette from
ReplyDeleteCorbin Bleu and Hit Me by The Jackie Boyz ((which was also covered by Omarion)) both being on the Romeo album) shows me SM is sincere in giving SHINee songs that identify the group as diverse yet cohesive, which isn't an easy thing to do if you commission every song; a lot of material for groups come from the same few writers (per album or throughout that artist's career, depending on the company's plans), which can make an artist's work sound the same.
I do love SHINee's original and Japanese songs as well, so there's something to be said about original songs of course, but I don't think SHINee would have created the individuality they have as a group now if the majority of their songs were originals, simply because they wouldn't have undertaken the diversities that come naturally with covering a number of other peoples' work. Their variety is a big part of why I've never gotten bored of SHINee's music.
This isn't to say that more original songs wouldn't be awesome, though. Since SHINee have matured into a group with a set sound and can pretty much branch off into any number of pop genres it'd be great to hear more songs constructed specifically to showcase their strengths.

They should! They're the complete package. Visuals, good dancing skills WITH complex choreography, good live vocals, AND good music. They should be promoting at least twice a year in Korea. I seriously don't know why SM is pushing them for Japan so much nowadays. Their Korean songs are soo good!

ReplyDeleteSHINee is very good doing performance in live..the outfit for me is unique eventhrough other say's the oppopsite..SHINee really improve a lot not only Taemin but also the others member of sHINee..for their japan song,I think the're doing well with their japanese song,,maybe they are lack in pronouncing the japanese word but they are trying hard..just give them a chance...I saw them grew in stage..that's made me so proud with them..non-shawols should search a video of them since their debut,,that will show u why u want stay to be SHINee fan..so proud to see them grew this much with so amazing performance...
