Newsen is bored as hell today

Article: '19 year old' Suzy, a collection of her see through looks.. 'fashion forward' dizzying sexiness

Source: Newsen via Nate

So Newsen thought it'd be a fantastic article idea to basically compile a bunch of random pictures of Suzy wearing mesh/see through outfits and call it a night. The hilarious part is, they claim the pictures were compiled by an online community board, but you can clearly see the Newsen logos....

And they wonder why people don't respect them...

1. [+241, -14] The reporter must really have nothing to do......... A compilation of Suzy pictures......... ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Quite amazing of a reporter

2. [+211, -10] Can we please stop with the "Recently shared on an online community board..." Can you really call yourself a reporter?

3. [+185, -46] Can't this stuff be sued? This reporter thinks he can write anything he wants... This is basically sexually harrassing Suzy through words

  2. That's pretty low and I agree with through last comment, how sick are these people...

  3. So when Suzy does it, it's fashion-forward but when Kara wears sexy outfits, Newsen thinks they're inappropriate? I don't know their ages but I think Suzy might be younger than Kara. I am so sick of Newsen objectifying and slut-shaming girl group members all the time.

  6. Makes me wonder if reporters feel any shame when netizens call them out on their shit.
    I love Suzy :3

  12. She is so awkward looking like she is not completely confident with herself and her body yet(let alone her sexuality). And yet creepy older men treat her like some delicious ass piece of meat. And they did that with Sohee, Yoona, IU and now her. It's like they're moving from one awkward prebuscent-looking barely legal teenage girl to another. It's so fucking creepy. And what's worse is that this kind of twisted lolita-esque culture is NORMALIZED and even ENCOURAGED in South Korea. Wake up, SK, you are not positively influencing your citizens by fetishizing images of innocence and purity in your media but rather creating breeding grounds for the growth of a pedophilic culture. Or do you seriously not see anything wrong with 40+ year old men looking for qualities of a 12 year old girl in their women? Ugh. I find it so disgusting. I'm sorry. //endrant4now

  13. ^ Pedophilia is a predisposition, it's not something that's trained by culture. If this was true, we'd all be pedophiles by now.

    ReplyDelete
  14. ^ But normalizing pedophilic tendencies would only make it harder for victims to identify pedophilia and it would make pedophiles think it's 'normal' and 'natural' to feel attracted to younger children. Hell, I already see a lot of apologist bullshit in ~research~ about pedophilia.

And TBH I don't think it's always a predisposition. There are a lot of times when it's triggered by some childhood tragedy like maybe someone was raped as a child or lost a very close childhood friend. I get that. But that's a mental sickness and it needs treatment. It DOES NOT need people to say that it's OK and 'natural'. Or else the cycle will never end.

  15. Wao...it is really easy to become a reporter in Korea then

    ReplyDelete
  16. ^ Or anywhere. Western TV, magazines and Internet sites are full of articles just like this one.

    ReplyDelete
  17. People here are always saying 'Westerners do things that are way worse blah blah blah'
Why can't you guys get a better argument to justify SK artists actions?

    ReplyDelete
  18. idk why but it seems like if i request via twitter and tumblr you didn't read it....? sorry to request here again. ><

can you please translate k-netizens' reaction regarding IC/Leessang/Gary issue? running man without gary........... no way. i'm missing him a lot when he missed the show, please don't say it's true... T_T

Because that's the argument that fits.

  20. ^ Not really. It's derailing tbh. There's things that SK does worse and vice versa.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The think that SK does worse is cry endlessly about little things that don't matter.
