G-Dragon places 161st on the Billboard

Article: G-Dragon enters the Billboard chart at 161th "Dignity of a new Hallyu idol"

Source: Herald News via Nate

1. [+313, -101] I think his music is only enjoyed by people that are into his style.. His voice in his new song is kind of weird so I deleted it after I listened to it once. He must be popular nonetheless, although I'm sure his career would have lasted longer if he didn't smoke marijuana and led a good, honest career before enlisting in the army tsk tsk. It seems more and more that he's headed nowhere with the rest of his team.

2. [+280, -85] The amount of hate he's receiving wouldn't have been to this extent if he reflected longer and showed that he's truly willing to make up for his mistakes.. Joo Ji Hoon went on hiatus for years after doing drugs and even enlisted in the army, but what has G-Dragon done? I used to love all of his songs, but it's still annoying to see his stances on things like this. At least fake it if you don't want to do it. All he's doing is believing in his fans and saying sorry that he's so awesome and telling people not to view him with colored lenses. He's basically teasing us. T-ara or G-Dragon, they're all the same in that they have no shame. It doesn't matter how great his music is when he's so confident after breaking his country's law ã…‹ã…‹ Sure, jump and play all you want now, because it's only going to make people hate you more..

3. [+284, -144] Honestly, he only got that high on the Billboard because of Psy. How dare you dream of the Billboard with your plagiarized music ã…‹ã…‹

  2. Unfortunately for Knetizens GD is too big of a force to take down just with malicious comments.

GD or Big Bang ain't going anywhere any time soon and they will have to deal.

  3. GD : Opinions are just opinions, the can say what they wat but i won't let them affect me.

  5. I swear GD acts like he's had it hard when he hasn't been through shit compared to other people. I think that's what upsets netizens the most. GD says look at me you can hate me all you want but I can take it, I've been through so much and it's just kind of like - no. No you haven't. Your career hasn't been threatened. You got in the drug scandal but left with an unscathed profession. Sure you got more hate, but that's the life of somebody famous, they get hate. I'd like to see him go to the bottom of the barrel and pick himself up from nothing before he starts talking about how he's been through so much and how the haters can fuck off.

  6. He's no genius, no original and sounds like a quacking duck. The only sure thing is the hype. YG Hype.

  7. Oh god. T-ara apologized.

    KKS made them continue.

IT ISN'T T-ARA WHO FUCKING DECIDES THIS, GET THIS SHIT ON YOUR HEADS STUPID NETIZENS!

  8. they are really funny. Big bang, tts, snsd, and wonder girls charted on billboard before psy even released gangnam style. why are they acting like psy made that happen? GD is popular with international fans

  9. Honestly I don't like him anymore just because I'm not feeling his music. Not to mention he bought into the hype of being "innovator" and shit but it just come off as try hard...sorry GD :\
I really liked his works during Heartbreaker :|

  11. lol so now if any east asian makes it onto to billboard charts it's because of Psy, even if they made it before him

  13. LMAO at Netizens thinking GD and/or Big Bang's careers are going nowhere. De-lu-sion-al.

  14. Anon at 10:59.

You don't really know his life though? Maybe he has been through a lot of personal trials and sacrifices for his career.

    ReplyDelete
  15. ^ I think that anon was talking in terms of public scrutiny, and they're right. Yeah he's fucked up but his diehard fans are always there to shield him and fend off the "haters". The way he carries himself, you'd think he went through some kind of Baek Ji Young-level-scandal. But nope, people out there just don't like him like every other celebrity. He can cry moar about that tbh. YG artists like to emphasize how they dgaf when they clearly do.

  16. "Reflect longer", wah wah wah. All I ever hear from these pussies, wither it's G-Dragon, T-ara, 2PM or whoever. These people don't realise that the music business is a BUSINESS and you can't just stop because of a bit of butthurt. "Yeah we'll stop releasing new product and making money for a year or two just to make you feel better about some bullshit that was in the media that doesn't even have anything to do with our music", yeah right, harden the fuck up, pussy knetizens.

  17. last time i checked,kpop/k-entertainment is not a monastery who only allows those who are pure little angels to enter.LMAO

knetizens are an angel/saint/puritan wannabe's but a cheapskate.

  20. knetizens with their love of putting their idols in a box.

they must really love the adrenalin rush that the gavel they're holding gives them.

    ReplyDelete
  21. i think what bothers knetizens is that even if he did drugs, nothing happened to him bc he had yge covering up for him, meanwhile other celebrities went to jail for smoking pot or had to go on a forced hiatus for years. it's unfair.

  22. I don't know WHY people don't get the difference between GD's marijuana scandal and those other celebrities who had to take time off for their drug scandals. UNDER KOREAN LAW, he was NOT prosecuted because the amount of drugs found in the tested hair sample was UNDER THE LEGAL LIMIT for prosecution. He was NOT convicted. You can choose to believe he smoked and continues to smoke marijuana. It doesn't matter. He was not prosecuted there is NO LEGAL EVIDENCE to prove that he took more than a few puffs. It's a matter of law. Try to understand .

And for those saying he didn't apologize, he went on Healing Camp and apologized.

Don't care if you hate him, but get your facts straight.

    ReplyDelete
  23. As been said , Haters gonna find a way to hate.

Dgaf about fact . Why? Cuz Hate is fun. Need no reason.
And GD is hella successful at such a young age. Hater cant stand the truth.

Thats it. Better go butthurt all you want. :)

  24. The last comment is out of order, technically GD (with Big Bang) ranked on the Billboard before Psy so how does that work? *does horse dance*
But all in all, not the worst set of comments from k-netizens :) thanks Netizenbuzz

  25. i guess "MOVING ON" is not in knetizens vocabulary & is foreign to them.how wonderful it must be to be sinless & pure.LOL

i'm not perfect so i don't expect others to be perfect also.with this mindset, less hurt & less disappointment.

what gives some knetizen the right to bashed idols when they haven't spent or invested even a single won in an idol?

    ReplyDelete
  26. when they will learn to separate the man from the musician? he is a human being, can make mistakes and he has a life. And i loled at that comm, why don't they get their facts right, BB entered the Billboard chart before psy

    and ty for translating

  28. VIPs are delsional, GD deserves this, many other celebs have been involved in scandals, reflected and took time off and then made a comeback, other artists who smoked had to go to jail while nothing happened to GD cuz of his lies and YG which is not fair.
Netizens are hating on those who have the audacity to break the law or do shameful things then mans a come back Abd act like nothing happened wih their fans still supporting them and thinking they're angels and that they're innocent

    ReplyDelete
  29. ^ You are the only delusional one. GD doesn't deserve anything because he Didn't break the law. There was insufficient evidence to convict. He doesn't have to go to jail because he wasn't convicted. Since he wasn't convicted, not even of a minor offense, he didn't have to do anything. All broadcasting stations agreed that he would not be banned from appearing. End of story.

Anyone who keeps bringing it up is just butthurt that they didn't get to see his downfall and that he continues to be as successful as ever.

  30. We can't judge what we dont know. We have no rights to judge how long GD needs in order to reflect on his mistakes. Some idol took years to reflects but in the end they did not realized the mistakes. What really matters are that GD learnt his lesson and truly change into a better person. We don't know him personally so we don't know what sacrifices he had. But I'm sure to become what he is today is no easy job, and as VIP, we should be proud and support him no matter what. Everyone deserves another chance.
