Le Sserafim and Rosalia similarities?

Article: Similar from one to ten, Le Sserafim's plagiarism controversy ahead of comeback

[+136] Finally this is getting some spotlight.. I hope more people learn about this..

[+118] Source, why are you doing this? You messed up the pop-up store, too, what's going on?

[+90] Copying Rosalia's singing style is what pisses me off the most. It's a style that she created after suffering from vocal cord nodules for four years. I thought it was so ridiculous how Le Sserafim took homage from Rosalia's Coachella stage a year ago. The props used in Rosalia's music video (motorcycle, cat helmet) are all meaningful things to her so it was wrong of Hybe/Source to just copy it like that.

[+86] To all of the fans who keep shielding this by saying that it's not a problem at all, I truly wonder how you'd all react if another group debuted with the exact references that Le Sserafim took from Rosalia. I highly doubt that the group would be able to escape hate from Le Sserafim's fandom ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I think these fans are thinking this is a non-issue because Rosalia doesn't have a lot of fans in our country but no one would be able to say that copying to this level is acceptable if Rosalia had fans here. We all know you fans would be busy trying to lay low until it blew over ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

[+73] Foreigners have been calling Le Sserafim the "daughters of Rosalia" and seem to be well aware that they're copying her. Koreans just haven't known till now because Rosalia isn't that famous here.

[+62] Enough with the "oh they're just referencing" or whatever. In the end, you have to admit that they're copying Rosalia, whether it's to an extent or full out plagiarism. It's obvious that they copy bits and pieces thinking that people won't catch on while using the "references" excuse as a plagiarism denial. If they don't want these controversies cropping up, they should be more creative and make sure to make their work different. Seeing it all laid out like this in video form is really disappointing.

[+54] Le Sserafim fans are pretty terrible. When this controversy broke out last year, they lied about how the group has the same composer as Rosalia, and here they go again. They're like a cult.

[+50] It's shocking that there's no meat left to their videos when you take out all of the references.. Their group concept is all about being proactive and fighting for yourself and yet their work is all copycats.

[+30] Everyone keeps saying they have the same composer but they're actually completely different, and what made Le Sserafim this popular is that their songs have been uniquely different from other Korean groups only for people to find out that it's mostly because of references to Rosalia's songs. But of course, this is their agency's fault, not Le Sserafim themselves.

[+27] Finally this is getting some spotlight

[+25] Hul... this is a bit shocking

[+20] Well it technically doesn't seem like plagiarism

[+14] Fearless and Airpod are similar too

[+13] International fans have already been calling 'Anti-Fragile' a Rosalia reggaeton style, which is why the song had a positive reaction with South American fans. It feels odd that this controversy is only coming up half a year later and right before their comeback ㅋ

- [+19] Because Rosalia fans have been holding it in this whole time but their new song is just way to similar for them to stay quiet. They wrote about it on Twitter and it attracted enough attention to spread out.

[+9] Seriously, this isn't people forcing a controversy or anything, it's something that Le Sserafim has been accused of since their early debut from American pop fans... Their songs have always been slyly similar in tones, similar in concepts to Rosalia... but this time, it's all too similar. When I heard their rapping in their new teaser, I immediately thought of Rosalia. From their interviews, it sounds like they're gunning for the Billboard so perhaps it's time to stop all this copying now...! And it's been a year since they're debut, I'm tired of the same struggling girl bosses out for blood concept ㅠㅠㅠㅠ I'd understand if they were at BTS/Black Pink's level but they're already under a good agency and going down a successful path so stop with the struggle concept and prove yourselves with actual live singing...!

[+7] I guess we'll see with their new song if they have any shame or not..

[+6] But if Rosalia follows Le Sserafim, maybe it's all been coordinated??

[+6] I thought we all knew this? All the foreigners seemed to, at least... but I think the singing style is a bit of a stretch. You can find tons of South American singers who sing like that.
- [+11] Not that there's a copyright on singing methods but the reason Rosalia is as big as she is now is because she has a unique style, to the point where people consider her singing its own genre. You can search all you want in South America, you're not going to find a similar singer to Rosalia...
- Rosalia actually had a lot of divided reactions to her singing because it wasn't anything that existed prior to her. She basically created it herself.

[+5] I'm a fan and even I'll admit that the similarities are exact, but I see comments hating on Le Sserafim like they have any say in their music video, concept, song direction, etc. Hate on Hybe instead. I'm sure the members are aware that their concept is taking references from Rosalia but that's still under the direction of their agency; they didn't decide on these concepts themselves.

[+2] If Rosalia and her reps thought Le Sserafim was plagiarizing her stuff, why would they follow them ㅋㅋㅋ I think it's just similar enough where it hasn't crossed into plagiarism territory at all???
