Netizens point out the expensive things Kang Min Kyung buys for herself as she scrimps on employee pay

Article: Staff get sponsored desks while Kang Min Kyung's desk costs 7 million won? Is this the reality of small companies?

1. [+2,055, -139] If you don't like the pay or benefits being offered by a company, just don't apply. If a product is too expensive or not good enough quality, just don't buy it. Eventually, companies will have to raise the pay or lower the price of their products or risk going bankrupt. There are hundreds of thousands of companies with CEOs like her and there's no reason that she should get any more than the rest of them just for being a celebrity. Now that all of this is in the media, I'm sure she's suffered enough damage to her celebrity career.

2. [+1,752, -41] And this is where her true colors show...

3. [+1,405, -42] Still ridiculous to me that she was hiring a skilled position while only offering minimum wage. She needs to just stick to her original job of singing.

3. [+469, -4] Providing work equipment and overtime pay are not "benefits" but "the bare minimum"... I don't get how she could even list them as benefits... and this is why small companies get such sh*tty reps.

4. [+404, -1] An air freshener in the office is considered a company benefit now?? Okay, let's hear more, what else are you offering... air conditioners in the summer? Heaters in the cold? Ah, this company must sure have a lot of benefits if you also start counting all of the tech equipment in the office...

5. [+374, -0] So the desk company didn't even reach out to her to offer a sponsorship first, she reached out to them to ask for free things... that's quite amazing

6. [+364, -1] This is pretty off putting about her. So she was looking into buying her staff some desks but realized how expensive they were so she went looking around for sponsors. Basically begging for free things since she wasn't even offered them first ㅎㅎ Imagine going up to a business like "Hey, I'm Kang Min Kyung, can I get some free desks?" ㅋㅋ

7. [+312, -1] The turnover rate at this company in the past year is 52%. She needs to cut it with this "it was just a mistake" crap and look into how she can improve her company. There would be no reason for people to leave so quickly if they were satisfied with their pay and work. Asking a skilled professional to work for 25 million a year is not anything that the public should be asked to "understand and forgive".

8. [+304, -1] What she's doing isn't technically illegal but it also doesn't mean she's a good person either

9. [+228, -2] She's so dumb. This whole company is just her wanting to play CEO princess as someone who's never worked as a staff in her life.

10. [+216, -2] So she's too stingy to drop a few hundred on some desks for her staff but she has no problem dropping 7 million won on a desk for herself? This isn't her being frugal but her refusing to spend even a cent on her staff's well being. She could've bought 35-70 desks for the price of her one desk... She's quite the odd businesswoman.

Article: Kang Min Kyung's oven is worth 27 million won... but wants to pay her staff 25 million won?

Source: Han via Naver

1. [+2,128, -26] The fandoms who buy these products whenever a celebrity opens a shopping mall are basically feeding the diva mindset these people have

2. [+778, -16] Seems like most companies that run off of the sole fame of their celebrity founder have rock bottom staff pay and benefits. This is all just a matter of time before these companies go under.

3. [+598, -7] A turnover rate of 52%, what more needs to be said?

4. [+654, -293] What does the cost of her oven have anything to do with her staff's pay? Does such a market in the world exist where a correlation like this is relevant?

5. [+327, -4] I'll never get why anyone would bother buying from her anyway. It's not like she manufactures these clothes herself.

Article: Kian84 compared to Kang Min Kyung... "33 million won salary, pays for staff London tickets"

Source: The Joongang via Naver

1. [+5,989, -64] It's how Kian has remained successful for so long. He's quirky but kind at heart.

2. [+2,192, -23] The fact that Kang Min Kyung's company listed that salary four years ago and then again this year means it wasn't just a "mistake" but a number intentionally set by Kang Min Kyung!

3. [+1,337, -45] Kian84 seems better the more you read about him. He's quite wholesome for someone his age as well...

4. [+474, -5] 25 million won wouldn't be so bad if she was just hiring someone to run the copy machine, make people coffee, and keep a seat warm... but she wants someone with computer science skills, fluent English for 25 million won?? Skills like that require a minimum of 35 million won, and that's a big maybe still.

5. [+289, -1] Kian's the type of guy who hates spending money on himself but loves sharing his wealth with those around him!
