'Night of Hate Comments' decides to end the show

Article: 'Night of Hate Comments' reps, "We have decided to end the show, we cannot continue the show without Sulli" [official statement]

1. [+1,700, -59] I'm sure the producers aren't feeling well knowing that a show they started with positive intentions has ended like this.. find strength, everyone.

2. [+1,674, -36] It's the right thing to do

3. [+1,580, -58] It's not that the show can't continue without Sulli but moreso that the negative impact of the show has reared its head. Not all positive intentions end in positive results. However, I don't think it's fair either to blame the show and leave comments like "I knew it'd end up like this"

4. [+54, -2] The show had positive intentions... but I think it would've been better if they had an expert panelist who could give the celebrities advice on how to handle hate comments for their mental health. I think it was dangerous to have Sulli read all that without giving her the tools to overcome her trauma ㅠㅠ

5. [+51, -0] The show would've been better if they had included a panel of doctors to give supplemental explanations... Obviously, Sulli was the #1 cast member on the show since she had the most hate comments. It was wrong to think that she was going to be fine through it all ㅜㅜ I miss Sulli...

6. [+42, -2] No matter how strong you are mentally, I don't think it's good for you emotionally to be reading that stuff every week

7. [+35, -12] The scriptwriters got caught Katalking each other on the day Sulli passed... when they were told that no one was able to get in contact with Sulli, they made fun of her like, "Live life like Sulli~"... you guys shouldn't be like that.

8. [+30, -3] No matter how positive their intentions were, it wasn't a good idea to tell a sick person to continue talking about what makes them sick. I won't blame anyone but taking the show off air is the best decision.

9. [+28, -6] What positive intentions? How perverted is it to ask someone to read their own hate comments? And if they try to defend themselves, you'll just say they're making excuses. Good riddance to the show.

10. [+25, -0] A better idea for the show would've been to cast the actual hate commenters and have them read it back to the celebrity they left it to and then reprimand them for writing that comment..

1. [+1,477, -5] Like the other comments are saying, they needed a panel of psychologists

2. [+747, -8] They never should've had only celebrities without any experts with them

3. [+446, -44] Hoping there's never another show like this in our country again. What a night of nightmares.

4. [+343, -11] If only the show never aired to begin with.. ㅠ

5. [+109, -0] Have you guys seen the Jimmy Kimmel version? At least they let the celebrities talk back to their heart's content, swears and all. Celebrities on our show aren't even able to say anything back because of their image. I hope there's never another show like this again. How unfortunate...

6. [+62, -31] But isn't it wrong to blame the show for Sulli's death? ㅋㅋ When Sulli was offered a spot on the show, she volunteered to go on it herself (and you can't say that SM forced her to go on the show, she's been in this industry for years). The only episode that covered Sulli's hate comments was only the first episode. She herself wanted to go on the show to clear up any misunderstandings about herself so why are people blaming the show? Anyway, I don't find this show problematic. I thought it was great to see celebrities clap back at their comments and make haters feel embarrassed.
