'Produce 101' will be a show that takes 101 female trainees from various agencies and ultimately cast 10 of them to create a unit team. Large scale agencies like SM and YG have chosen not to participate.

The project will take about a year. The final chosen members will be able to promote under Mnet until they can debut with a girl group of their own under their respective agencies.

1. [+534, -8] Dozens out of that 100 will be eliminated... it's upsetting to think about the kids who won't be able to debut

2. [+457, -25] Sounds like AKB48... Are we copying Japan now?

3. [+325, -6] Is this even necessary...

4. [+299, -3] Just think of the kids who will be eliminated... so many

5. [+30, -2] If SM and YG aren't participating, they're just going to be taking a bunch of average skilled kids and trying to make something work out of it; and how're viewers even going to memorize their names when there's over 100 of them ㅋㅋ

6. [+29, -2] Korea has so many trainees ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I heard that there are more trainees a year than college entrance exam test takers ㅋㅋ

7. [+31, -4] Every time I read stuff like this, I'm just reminded of the girl who commit suicide after being eliminated from KARA;;; how're they going to eliminate dozens out of the 100 just hopelessly?

8. [+24, -1] I honestly think this is just a ploy by music shows to exert their power over other agencies by holding their trainees hostage since they're the ones who trained them and got them popular

9. [+20, -3] Fact: YG and SM aren't pariticpating... gg ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

10. [+14, -0] This is actually really sly of Mnet... these agencies spent/invested years in training their trainees and then Mnet just takes them out and milks them for themselves ㅋ
