Idol reality shows lack 'soul'?

Article: Idol reality shows, where is the 'soul'

Source: Han via Naver

1. [+3,857, -79] It's just fan service... Only fans watch it anyway

2. [+2,635, -337] "He/she's a good singer but there's no soul", "It's a reality show but there's no soul" I'm sick of all this talk about soul

3. [+2,127, -107] ㅋㅋㅋ Why use Hyuna's picture

4. [+2,453, -502] I think shows like INFINITE's You're My Oppa and 2NE1 TV were really fun..

5. [+1,599, -199] As long as whoever's watching it is having fun

6. [+496, -34] SM's shows aren't really reality. Real reality shows aren't like what SM puts out. They call it reality but shows like EXO's Show Time are just variety shows.

7. [+468, -17] I really don't consider EXO's Show Time a reality show ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

8. [+438, -26] 2NE1 TV was a real reality show with Park Bom carrying around all those medicines. I remember thinking she really must like medicine.

9. [+403, -32] B2ST, INFINITE, Block B, and Shinhwa are jjang ㅋㅋㅋ These four groups really let loose and show everything ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

10. [+362, -51] I enjoyed B2ST's Show Time. They don't try hard to manage their image and were honest with themselves and funny. It made me go back and watch their debut reality shows and they just seemed really honest and not fake when idols normally try to manage their images that early. I also enjoyed INFINITE's Rank King.

  2. I agree with this. I feel like many idols are trying to hard nowadays, to make the variety shows funny. Just be yourself, your fans will love you anyways.

true. admit it, you've probably watched a boring variety show before just to see your oppars/unnies (cough cough exo showtime)

    ReplyDelete
  6. "Soul"? As in, exaggerated sob stories while captions reminding me how sad it is take up half the screen and violin music plays? I can do with that.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Its because idols are too busy trying to take care of their image, but mostly its because most of them just arent funny

    ReplyDelete
  8. I miss 2NE1tv so much

Ughhh. WHEN WILL THEY LET IT GO??! I see this in every article. I understand they feel she needs to be punished, as do I, but it's really annoying now. She got let go so how about they let it go now!! Bitching about on every single article ain't gon help anything!!

  11. Cause if they don't try, they're boring, but if they do try, they're try-hards will say something 'rude' and they'll get hate for it :\

  13. Winner TV was actually fun lol

  14. I do love GOT7 on reality shows though.

  15. I agree with this. I feel like many idols are trying to hard nowadays, to make the variety shows funny OR the shows are getting way too scripted. Just be yourself, your fans will love you anyways. Forever rewatching SHINee's Hello Baby :')

  16. soulless or not, Winner TV was really good

    ReplyDelete
  17. Lmao bringing park bom again. You think only she has lots of medicine. There are some members of other groups who hava elots of medicine. I watch mblaq If im not wrong seungho also love medicines. Just lol.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I love Infinite's shows, they're funny and don't care about what so called image. Winner is a fun and relaxing group too.

    ReplyDelete
  19. who cares though. their primary job is to sell music, variety is just a side dish to service that and keep fans interested. as long as it works.

ME 2 LMAO. anyway some idol reality shows are enjoyable and some are not. depends on the artists. imo reality shows for rookies are the most enjoyable cos they really let it go since they want people to get interested lol

    ReplyDelete
  22. oppa didn't mean it!!!!!!August 23, 2014 at 9:04 PM

Sometimes reality shows are too fake and scripted, only fans can watch them.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 2PM's (especially Wild Bunny), Shinhwa's and SuJu's variety shows are the best imo.
Mblaq and Got7 are very funny and enjoyable too

    ReplyDelete
  24. it's the main dish for a lot of them though

    ReplyDelete
  25. I just love kids in variety show like Return of Superman. Children's reactions are genuine, originally cute and entertaining in their own way.

    ReplyDelete
  26. used to think those boys were really uptight cos they seemed so serious during win. winner tv was a delightful surprise lmao

  29. Wtf is soul in a reality show? I'd rather watch this than american reality shows like the kardashians

    ReplyDelete
  30. I..really love watching variety shows tho...if I'm being biased, of course Beast is the best..but bias aside, I think A Pink, GOT7 and BTS are really good. They always make me laugh when I'm watching their shows. And helloo..Super Junior and Shinhwa everyone..they are like the kings of variety shows..

Anw, what kind of 'soul' that they are talking about?

    ReplyDelete
  31. i enjoyed every episode of Beast's Showtime^^. its really funny!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Shinhwa Is the best in variety:D

    ReplyDelete
  33. Block B's shows are really good for the fact that they give zero fucks.

  35. I didn't watch all but I happened to catch that 2NE1 episode of corn eating saga. It's funny!

I saw Jessica and Krystal reality show too. I like their sister bonding and the reality TV concept ain't what I expected.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think Got7 are hilarious, so they definitely need a reality show.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Infinite being mentioned. :D

    ReplyDelete
  38. Infinite's shows are all fun. I still watch them time to time. That's where they mostly got their neighboor-idol title from.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Beast show time was the best seriously
every episode of it was fun
I became a fan after watching it and now i can't stop listening to their songs

Omg you are my oppa!!! The show that wrecked my infinite bias rank. At last someone besides me remembers.

    ReplyDelete
  44. suju's old reality shows were really hilarious tho

    ReplyDelete
  45. 2NE1 TV was GOLD...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Infinite's Sesame Player, SHINee's Hello Baby, 2PM's Wild Bunny. Man I miss those times :')

    ReplyDelete
  47. "9. [+403, -32] B2ST, INFINITE, Block B, and Shinhwa are jjang ㅋㅋㅋ These four groups really let loose and show everything ㅋㅋㅋㅋ"

With the exception of these groups ( especially Shinhwa go watch it if you haven't ) most groups just do the variety shows because they have to and most of them will want to portray a "clean" image to their fans ofc

    ReplyDelete
  48. It's been a while since I watched an idol "real life" show so I can't say anything about how they're nowdays... But when I watched SJ's reality shows, was when they grow on me.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Can we bring back Soshi's Hello Baby and Dangerous Boys ;((

    ReplyDelete

Shinbang wasn't really a reality show, it's a variety show. but yes, they really let loose & show everything, cuz they r shinhwa ^^

It was so quotable. It became obvious after a few seasonz tho that only bom and dara cared about the show :(

    ReplyDelete
  52. I still watch all of Infinite's variety shows. I can always go back and watch them. I always rewatch the haunted village ep of ranking king.

    ReplyDelete
  53. speaking of wild bunny, when will we ever get the last ep ...

    ReplyDelete
  54. No such thing as reality shows anymore. Everything is carefully planned. If every celeb acted like their normal selfes on tv they wouldn't have fans anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  55. The first season episodes are the best! The second season is just, meh.

  58. 7. [+468, -17] I really don't consider EXO's Show Time a reality show ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Have to agree with this in particular (not hating on exo) I feel like the quality of idol reality shows has gone down lately? Maybe it's just me, they're just no fun anymore, I like got7 but man I felt like I've seen every episode of igot7 before

    ReplyDelete
  59. I really enjoyed Winner TV. <3

    ReplyDelete
  60. Exo Showtime really was a show that only the fans would enjoy..It would be pretty boring otherwise..

    ReplyDelete
  61. For me I love HOT BLOOD.not your typical idol debut but its friendship and challenges to see if you can handle the mess that comes with it.it was more life army boot camp.jyp do it again please

I'm surprised that nobody mention MBLAQ ... and Winner TV is fun too

    ReplyDelete
  63. soulless or whatever, I just don't find newer idols as funny as the older ones like g.o.d, shinhwa, etc. my favorite idol realities are g.o.d's baby diary from back in the day, and shinhwa broadcast. beyond those two, I never really got into idols' variety as a group, maybe just individually funny members.

    ReplyDelete

Prob never. She doesnt have the fan army it takes to downvote those comnents to oblivion.

Yay! Another person who's watched EHB! That show really was pure gold xD The laughing gas episode, and the one where they tried out chilies, had me in stitches!

    ReplyDelete
  69. always special stupid <3

    ReplyDelete
  70. It was the best tbh :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. I love MBLAQ sesame player and Shinhwa's broadcast... they're really funny and crazy XD

    ReplyDelete
  72. I feel like a lot of Korean reality shows aren't really reality shows. They're so heavily scripted it's like why bother calling it a reality show when we know it's not.

    ReplyDelete
  73. OMG EHB IS PURE GOLD.
I remember watching it in the middle of the night during my college days and in the morning my dorm friends were like "WTF did you watch last night I swear you laughed like a maniac it was scary."

  74. 천샤월 아가씨August 23, 2014 at 9:14 PM

pre-2010 reality shows were the best, most of them were not 100% scripted and much more spontaneous.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Your my Oppa is an amazing show. I am so glad I came across it accidently in 2010. All their shows are. This is Infinite they just bash each other and its so funny.

    ReplyDelete

  80. Wait, so EST was a reality show? Did anyone this is was anything but a variety show? Ngl, I thought I was a variety show from the get go.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Suju's Exploration of the Human Body is the greatest idol reality show of all time. And I'm not even an ELF.

    ReplyDelete
  82. That's because if there's any drama on the show it might be used against them to ruin their image. The only thing that the idols are allowed to do to spice up their tv shows is a little humor.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I think BTS are an exception..

    ReplyDelete
  84. I really like Winner TV. When Seungyoon and Taehyun were told to hang out and get closer, it reminded me of Daesung and Seungri's awkwardness back then

    ReplyDelete
  85. EHB is the best. It's just really good and maybe because the fact that's the only variety show of them that has 13 members in it. Plus, there are 2 episodes which we could watch dongbangsuju together.

    ReplyDelete
  86. the concept of idols are at least 20% music these days lol. If they're music is generic and the personalities are copypasted from other groups then three's no point. SNSD didn't become a wall solely from their music.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Actually he/she is ryt, i have watched 2ne1tv, and yeah Bom shows her medicines and it was a lot give me an impression that she takes care of herself so much and shows that shes not hiding them.

    ReplyDelete
  88. yeah during win i greatly preferred team b over team a but winner tv made me like winner a lot more

    ReplyDelete
  89. Ikr. My favorite would be You Are My Oppa. I love their fresh self during that time. So pure and innocent lol. Comparing them in that with their second show Sesame Player, they became devils in a matter of a second. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  90. Quite honestly the only present idol show i enjoyed was iGOT7 and their weekly RealGot7 on youtube is even better. Otherwise past idol reality shows>>present ones.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Winner TV too~ ^__^ Jinwoo's legendary "sydooney" lmao

    ReplyDelete
  92. Sungyeol dolphin scream will follow him forever.

  94. Mino's eyebrows in the Heirs parody... I died laughing LOL

    ReplyDelete
  95. 2NE1 TV was really enjoyable! :) I watched it till the end.. Same with Winner's. I wish Big bang could do one too :') I wanna watch those dorks on TV again.. The SMELL!!~~

    ReplyDelete
  96. glad vasco is getting exposure, so he can turn his life around for his son and for himself, but going rock mode on a hip hop show, just because he is too good for doing regular rap is kinda lame.

    ReplyDelete
  97. No hes not, what i'm trying to say is he dissed the people in aomg before this but now he's working with them :)

    ReplyDelete
  98. Crush! Omg listen to Crush.

    Aaaaand Giriboy.

    ReplyDelete
  99. This.... kinda puts things into perspective a lot lol

    ReplyDelete
  100. he did.

but i think that he doesn't think when he opens his mouth and runs it for the sake of making others look bad not because he himself believes what he says lol

    ReplyDelete
  101. Have to disagree there. Mad Clown and Soyou were awesome!

You have to realize what country we're talking about here. Maybe in the U.S., or another western country, underage drinking and smoking is something that's looked at as pretty normal but this girl is living in South Korea. Korean's don't take that kind of stuff lightly. The culture is different and the standards are different. Plus she's a public figure now so people are going to expect her to be genuine in her apologies if she made mistakes. I'm not saying she's a horrible person that deserves hate or anything, I'm just pointing out that if she wants people to take her "sory" seriously, she should have apologized in a serious manner.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Well that is indeed strange but like I have been saying initial should be black and white process should individual

    ReplyDelete
  104. Iron is amazing. He has the power to draw you in from start to finish. I found a lot of the performances by other contestants tended to get a bit repetitive and boring after a while, but never with Iron. I think YDG's lam excuse for ignoring Iron was so he could "become stronger". TBH I think YDG was just being lazy.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I learned the new kind of people today, you are just different from us

    good luck

    ReplyDelete
  106. I'm for Iron. Vasco is leaning too much towards rock I think. Its more rock than hip hop. I wish he'd go back to rapping rather than the whole screamo/repetitive rap verses.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'd disagree, I think it's a horrible invasion of privacy, regardless of gender.

    ReplyDelete
  108. This article is full of people from allkpop. This girl seems really young, cut her some slack.

    ReplyDelete
  109. I kinda agree. If I was posting sth serious, I'd at leaset check the spelling. The spelling error there made it seem like she just typed it quick(and short) and posted it.

I don't know her and I can't read her mind. But still... I guess her future actions will show it more clearly.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Don't really get why it'd be awkward, as both have many similarities in there backgrounds and Ailee has said before its easier for her to get close to korean-americans as they have that mutual understanding of both an american view mixed with their own home countries culture and traditions.

Anywaysbcant wait for the collab, lets hope it hits daebak! (Y)

  111. Cigarettes and alcohol is so freaking cheap in korea that it should be banned.Alot of koreans smoke especially all your oppas dont be fooled

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'm not from the US. In fact I'm also from a very conservative society in West Africa. My comment is not directed at knetz, I understand their culture. My problem is with the inetz that are joining the hatewagon. I don't understand what you mean by "apologize in a serious manner". How can she be more serious than this?..........enlighten me please.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Actually she wrote long post and she said sorry to Hyuna.
Besides that posts was like when she was 14-15 years old. (about 2-3 years ago.) How would someone know their future? She didn't know she got ppl's attention like this in the future at that time.

    ReplyDelete
  114. wait don't tell me iron got eliminated???? I haven't been able to keep up with the show

    ReplyDelete
  115. I was doing mental math like crazy last night. When they revealed the last score, I was like, "Oh... My... God... I think we won!!!!!!"
I'm so frickin' happy because 1) this was HER's first LIVE win (M! Countdown and Show Champion were pre-recorded), 2) I assumed Empty would sweep this whole week, and 3) we won on our goodbye week! Congrats, Block B!!

    ReplyDelete
  116. I can't believe Pyo didn't cry.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Scratch that apologizes. You shouldn't call Hyuna a slut.

    ReplyDelete
  118. she just can't afford anything more.

    ReplyDelete
  119. [+782, -110] This bastard would always run his mouth about rappers doing duets with popular female singers and now he's doing it himself, how hopeless

    hypocrite alert!

    ReplyDelete
  120. In reality though you notice that about a lot of the underground rappers, or even mainstream hip hop artists who at one point did diss idols or just people in general in the Kpop world they didn't consider legit.
For instance, Cho PD, the biggest incident where he disses GD and etc, and look he's since trying to break the market with boy idol groups.
This Swings guy and the lists goes in. In the end, it comes back full circle, and and they feature on mainstream idols/artist's tracks.
That's where the money's at, and maybe some are just hating because for some idols, they're not there for the music, they're there simply for easy fame.
But the sh*t talkers are usually the first to take up an open opportunity even if that means they're going to eat that sh*t right back up to make the money with idols.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Iron's still in the show! It's just that when Iron was preparing his "I AM" performance, he kept trying to get advice or help from his mentor, YDG, but YDG blew him off many times in person and through text. YDG said "You handle it", "You take care of it", and Iron was so stressed out and angry. In contrast, all the other mentors were helping their contestants arrange for backup dancers, live bands, checking camera angles, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  122. this man sure like to lick back his spit lol

    ReplyDelete
  123. How'd you find this? Was it hidden? It's on the block b tag but not on the main page.

    So now's there two...

    http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.com/search/label/block%20b

    ReplyDelete
  124. I was so pissed about that! Iron is such a good rapper and really loyal to YDG but YDG only cared about the rapper who used the n-word and was super mean and drunk.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Getting caught for smuggling amphetamines was quite rare in 2010. There were only 3 cases but only 2 of those cases were prosecuted. However, all three claimed a medical reason.

    ReplyDelete
  126. ughhhhhhhhhh i was SO mad lol. although Iron deserves better treatment, kinda glad didnt have YDG give him a shitty beat like he did with Giriboy. I dont even know how the hell Iron pulled out such a FLAWLESS, PERFECT performance, that outscaled everyone. i dont think it could get better than that, or everyone will jst die.

    ReplyDelete
  127. btches still complain about epik high being completely transformed due to YG, but I found his solo album was very good and not "yg-fied" lol

    ReplyDelete
  128. she's cute but I can't stop staring at her forehead implant....

    ReplyDelete
  129. You could argue that shes young, so we shouldn't be to harsh but I have to agree with the k-netz. Bad behaviour shouldn't be reward and should be put on blast so that those youngsters that want to make it into the biz think twice about there actions and the consequences the could face for them.

    ReplyDelete
  130. what.... That's really f*cked up. I thought his style was the closest to what ydg has been "looking for"? But no surprise since he favorites that guy who used the n word shamelessly

    ReplyDelete
  131. i wish more ppl went into illionaire's room, LETS BE HONEST HERE, all of the 6 rappers went there scked (except bobby, and sry toy but its not english rap show). if they had snacky, jolly V, giriboy, it would make everything so much more interesting. feel like they dont care anymore, since they always lose, no good contestnts chose them :(

    ReplyDelete
  132. YDG doesn't know what he's doing as a mentor. Like Tablo said, Giriboy is the only rapper that's gotten WORSE throughout the competition. How does that make sense - they have mentors who're older and have been in the business longer, of course they're supposed to only get better!! I understand Giriboy wanted to learn stage presence from YDG but he made the wrong choice - he should've chosen YG since Tablo wanted him so badly.

I still listen to Iron's "I AM" a lot, it's so so good. I'm glad he was able to do his performance his way but I feel so bad that he even cried because of the emotions and stress.

  133. Unless you've been in that position yourself, do not blame the victim. Anyone should be able to live without fear of being attacked.

I was a big fan of KHJ, but how on earth do you break someone's ribs by "fooling around"?

  134. Do you not know who he is or why he's famous

    ReplyDelete
  135. I haven't heard about him, why don't people like him?

    ReplyDelete
  136. I do. I said i don't know why it'd be awkward for them to work together. It's not like Ailee's a saint either.

    ReplyDelete
  137. congrats! whether is big company or small company, if you give all your best, I believe there is return

  138. I don't quite understand YDG, and based on comments from viewers most really don't like him for what he did to Iron. Although he passed Iron in the very first audition, he was the only producer who failed him in the solo auditions in front of all 4 producer teams. IDK YDG just has been so weird for the whole show :/

Doesn't matter if he cried or bitched about rapper x duo combo. Cuz he's prob the realest rapper in the game and can slay most of your bias or whatever.

Soul Company was godlike, but it's dead now. The Q now is total waste of his talent. Screw you Dok2 for dragging him down. Same for Zino. P'Skool was the shit. Go listen to it, that's like his best album along with Jazztfact. His recent materials are crap.

Hi-Lite is the realest label atm.

Cohort crew's tape was fucking dope.

Just Music got Nochang, one hell of a producer.

KHH's been dead. Shit peaked back in 2008~2011.

Swings making Korean Hiphop relevant again on mainstream scale. Even legendary Garion couldn't pull this shit off. Anyhow, go check out Garion if you want Korean hiphop in its purest form.

  140. Now i really want a duet with tablo & Ailee. I think it would be #1 for weeks.

Just speaking the truth as a long time Korean hiphop head.

I actually hated his style during late 2000's. Was total shit. Was overrated back then. But he mastered his craft past couple of years.

Not sure if you actually follow Korean hiphop, regardless Swings contributed A LOT, he re-introduced punchline. Tablo is one good example of someone who frequently used punchline, but Swings really showed everyone how far punchline can be pushed with Korean language.

  145. I can see why a lot of people chose YG - as a large company they have lots of producers to help, like Choice37 and DJ Tukutz are always shown sitting in the team meetings. The beat they gave Olltii for "Oll Ready" was SO SICK. I dunno why YDG was next most popular, or why so few people chose Illionaire though. At first I didn't like them based on the first audition but the way they treated Chamane and Bobby was really nice. tbh I think Cjamm should've gone there to branch out and learn from rappers he likes instead of sticking to his label boss, Swings.

Have you watched episode 8? I felt they put a lot of effort in during that episode. I feel like they don't take the show seriously, since the way the show is edited/produced is messed up, but they care about their mentees a loooooot more than YDG does.

    ReplyDelete
  146. tbh i dont rly care abt her past unless she fight/bully people... kids around me smoke n drink and talk trash abt celebrities all day n they r still decent kids (in my eyes)
Thing is: her apology doesnt seem sincere... why would she add that "yuyu" crying emoticons la...

  149. She should have just stayed quiet on social media. It's just another reason they can find to hate on her. It's in the past, why judge someone on their past and be so sure that you actually know them and write mean comments.

  150. Bond with Felt hat and Zino is really good, but that's more of a feature.

    ReplyDelete
  151. How are you surprised at that? They play to the demographic that they (arguably) reign in ...

    ReplyDelete
  152. where did Swings criticize rappers for doing duets?

  153. I suddenly remembered DBSK saying years ago that they'd be touched everywhere from one end to another of an airport terminal filled with fangirls. :(

  154. Vasco is great (no denying) but what he's doing IS rap; still verbal storytelling but he's not using hip hop beats as it's infrastructure. The guy has been doing the latter for 14 years and has proved to excel at it. I don't get why people feel the need to insist this isn't rap because he's taking it towards a different direction in an attempt to develop or find a new sound that appeals to him but get's the job done: relaying what he wants to relay.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Oh, Hyunjoong. I'm so disappointed. Honestly speaking since this is a pretty serious situation they shouldn't have said anything and just let the police handle it... Just happening once even is one time too many...So what's going to happen with this lawsuit? Hasn't it been there since May? His lawyer should have it by now....Since he has admitted it's happened she shouldn't have any problems with her lawsuit.

    ReplyDelete
  159. This bastard thinks that he is the emperor of hip-hop!!

    ReplyDelete
  160. I just don't understand how this lawsuit has been there in the Court system since May right? Why are we just hearing about it now? Why didn't KeyEast know Hyunjoong was being sued since May? Was his legal rep just ignoring it this whole time so that's why Dispatch got involved? I'm confused with that and why the police are just now getting involved. Celebs who are really up there like him do have power and money so is that why Dispatch decided to get involved? I want to know more about that. When did KeyEast first know about this and why such a bs response? And amazing how he's still continuing his activities like nothing is going on when this is a very serious offense and he's admitting it happened at least once and she had to go to the hospital. I seriously hope the other SS501 guys aren't talking to him during this and are shaming him with this. They've been quiet too...but I'm not expecting them to say anything honestly. The woman has eye witnesses and medical records so he's pretty much done for now that he's admitted to things...this should help the woman's lawsuit go forward now. What is the sentence for domestic abuse in Korea?

  161. I think you might have misunderstood me. I'm a huge fan of Vasco and I never said that what he is doing is doing isn't rap. I just said that I personally do not like the rock sound. His lyrics are great and in my opinion he is the best rapper on the show.

Don't even get me started on Bobby's performance... It was fucking cringe worthy! I had to skip past the whole performance. And I agree with you, I would choose Vasco over that stupid shit that team illionaire did any day. Like seriously, what was up with the money and the glass of wine? They just ended up looking really stupid... And the song wasn't even good.

  164. You should really educate yourself on how abusive relationships actually work before you spew this kind of ignorant, childish bullshit out into the world.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I understand the subjectivity with the sound but i just don't agree with people that think this isn't rap and this shouldn't be on a show like SMTM. At the same time im not with the direction all these contestants are going while trying to proclaim it as the essence of rap (inclusion of rap that has nothing to its worth other than dissing, swearing and getting high). I get this is the fun part of it all but there is no diversity and this seems to be the main point presented about rap and hip hop -if you wish- on this show.

  166. Big companies can manipulate by getting fan clubs for other groups within them to vote up whoever is promoting at the moment.
That's what I think happened with Winner: VIPs and Blackjacks supported them as well as their own fans. Those fan clubs are tightly managed via the agency. BBCs are a bit looser and the international BBCs are independently active. So, Block B won by virtue of their own popularity alone, not just associated popularity.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Exactly. And their agency only works for them. There aren't even sibling groups with fan clubs to help vote them up. So, Block B and Seven Seasons and BBCs did this as a team together but without other support.

    ReplyDelete
  168. So proud of you guys! Enjoy the win! Go Block B and BBC!

    ReplyDelete
  169. I agree with almost everthing you said: B-free and okasian, just music being a solid crew and illionaire but 24:26? I mean yes i agree with P'school and jazzyfact but 24:26 was as solid as a mainstream album gets. (I choose to forget and burry DVP and UAN deep into my unconsciousness)

    ReplyDelete
  170. Yeah, man. I mean as a guy I'm sure they would appreciate the squeaky voices screaming their names I'm sure I would but it's one thing knowing a lot of girls like you and another one having said girls touching you without your consent.

    ReplyDelete
  171. I do like that fact that Vasco is doing something different than the "hip hop" sound and that he is sticking to it. I don't really think a rapper has to go for the typical hip hop sound for it to be "real" hip hop. In my opinion hip hop is more about the lyrics. However what I consider to be hip hop and what someone else consider to be hip hop may be two completely different things. Vasco is great and he could teach the rest of the contestants a thing or two.

I'm not one of the people that think that Vasco shouldn't be one the show. It's strange that I don't like the sound that Vasco is going for (maybe it will grow on me, who knows), because I'm usually the one that likes it when someone does something different from everyone else.

  186. I don't take underage drinking as such a big deal so long as there's no more to it than just drinking with a meal. If Korea cares so much they should improve on preventing underage drinking. So did the servers just give the kids drinks without asking their age? An ID?

I'm not sure if her apology is sincere. I guess it would help to know the language in this case.
