Follow Up: Ilbe users bulk buy SECRET albums

Article: Jun Hyosung's 'democratization' statement leads Ilbe to bulk buy SECRET albums

Source: News 1 via Nate

The comment section is a mess and has been completely taken over by Ilbe users. I'll just translate random ones left by them and update in the morning if anything changes. The screencap is basically ilbe users showing proof of their purchase of SECRET albums ("Two albums weren't enough so I bought everything they had", "I bought $100 worth of albums", "I bought 70 albums")

1. [+47, -7] Anti-communist idols SECRET... Totally in a good mood today, I have a feeling it's going to be a great day. Yah!! Feel so good!!

2. [+44, -5] Who you accusing of bulk buy? We're buying songs that touch our hearts and move our souls. My mother is listening to their song right now and shedding tears of joy. She says even Na Hoon Ah (veteran singer) has nothing on them.

3. [+34, -1] Ilbe goddess Hyosung~jjang!!

4. [+32, -2] General Jun Hyosung!

  3. ook.. this is becoming ridiculous!
i feel sorry for secret now, especially hyosung.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Kinda terrified, tbh. It's scary how quickly this is escalating.

    ReplyDelete
  5. This..is.. creepy.
But..at the same time.. benefits Secret in a way that their sales will go high.
    But........ But..... But!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. well, that's one way to rise in the charts.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Even Jesus can't save them now. My goodnesssss I hope they don't make Secret occult items...

    ReplyDelete
  8. how would people know if those are really ilbe users? isn't it possible to fake themselves as ilbe users or it can be detected if they really are?

    ReplyDelete
  9. worried for Secret's future :'(

    ReplyDelete
  10. damn, they are only making it worst......

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think Secret's career is going to go downhill at this rate.

    ReplyDelete
  12. these ilbe users are scaring the shit out of me

    ReplyDelete
  13. If netizens can't see that SECRET is being made fun of/targeted (in a very roundabout manner) and still insist on debasing them, then something is very, very wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Damn, one misuse of a word....

    Ilbe users are terrifying....

    ReplyDelete
  15. yes I am, seems like its gonna be like T-ara, netizens r never gonna let this go ...........

    ReplyDelete
  16. The article link was passed around on Ilbe for the users to go in and vote up/comment.

    ReplyDelete
  17. it's all just a joke to them but this is someone's life they're making a joke of. :(

    ReplyDelete
  18. You wouldn't even understand. I went to Ilbe and read thru the Secret posts, and the Ilbe users are buying ENTIRE albums of secret. I was so freaked out.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well that escalated quickly. So frightening.

    ReplyDelete
  20. ...I am really, really scared right now for my girls. SECRET is my top K-pop bias :((((

    ReplyDelete
  21. We must thank netizen buzz for informing us of this issue. Allkpop would defintely not post about this

    ReplyDelete
  22. Honestly, prayer circle that nothing more serious than this happens. I feel like something dangerous or physically damaging could happen to Secret which is really frightening. Those ilbe trash don't seem to have any limits.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah um netizen buzz already told us

    ReplyDelete
  24. Their second wave of bulk buying lol They're officially ruined now. They shouldn't have touched onto such a sensitive political subject, even if it was an accident. This will never be let go especially so close to the anniversary of that fateful day.

    I pity them. :(

    ReplyDelete
  25. oooh like t-ara, knetizens never forget, they are really scary...

    ReplyDelete
  26. No like the atmosphere of the posts was what scared me... The Ilbe users were saying stuff like "if you're an Ilbe, then you must buy Secret songs! Hyosung's our goddess!"

    ReplyDelete
  27. Um prayer circle? Youre reaching

    ReplyDelete
  28. would someone be kind enough to explain to me who "Ilbe users" are? didn't use internet for one day and this happened..many thanks

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh My God!!
I am sure secret has nothing to do with that ilbe.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hyosung really screwed herself............

    ReplyDelete
  31. I am kinda happy this is happening. all you t-ara haters that pile on t-ara when their scandal happen now feel what queens felt for the longest time. It hurts now when it's your bias, huh?

You know who you are !

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't like this. This is too intense.

    ReplyDelete
  33. And now we see how outlandishly creepy these people are and why you should even blink in their direction, let alone use political terms associated with them.
Honestly not hating Hyorsung herself, I feel bad for her not knowing this mistake would blow up, but they really need to get out while they can.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Idk if this is related but secrets rank on melon went up as well they were a steady 7-9 on realtime charts but now there 5. I guess the downside of their image going down the drain is hey they can sell more albums now....

    ReplyDelete
  35. Just the fact that ilbes are giving Secret attention is scaring me, especially with all the bad things they are associated with.

    ReplyDelete
  36. omg do they read our comments hate ilbe TT_TT

    ReplyDelete
  37. This is getting really scary! :O
Secret is most likely freaking out :(

    ReplyDelete
  38. that's not helping them at all. i mean, these ilbe users can do anything that they want. i'm afraid something bad will happen to secret.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Because they want to convince many fans that kpop is Narnia or Disney, thank God there is NB, ...sigh ...anyway... my heart hurts

    ReplyDelete
  40. umm sorry you're on the wrong post, t-error lover.

    ReplyDelete
  41. shoot remind me to say the word democratize if i ever release an album. im not from korea so the bad image wont bother me lol. get that money.

    ReplyDelete
  42. of course that's ilbe in a nutshell, they only want to troll and hurt people i bet they know she isn't one of them and she's just dumb but an oportunity to troll and ruin someone's life is there so they won't miss it even if they have to spend their money to do it

    ReplyDelete
  43. If I were SECRET's member, I honestly wouldn't know if I should be happy or not...... knowing that my group's album sales suddenly went up but it's because a bunch of creepers bulk bought them

    ReplyDelete
  44. sounds like typical trolling to me

    ReplyDelete
  45. I don't like either of that groups, but I'm impressed by the hate of knetizens ... and you shouldn't be happy about something like that (even if I don't like secret , I don't wish them bad things)

    ReplyDelete
  46. well this is going too far

    ReplyDelete
  47. they compared Ilbe to 4chan. but i dont think even they would do this. sk internet culture is on new levels lol.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm pretty sure ilbe users are referring to democracy as communism. They're fucked up.

    ReplyDelete
  49. It doesn't sound as bad in English, I know. But they were actually serious about the statement. They strongly believe that they have to support Hyosung for "being on their side".

    ReplyDelete
  50. No need to be a smart ads about it.

    ReplyDelete
  51. lol you guys. ilbe are simply netizens. like you or me. they can't do "anything" they want. The most they can do is gang up and troll something over the internet. basically the standard 2ch/reddit type of shit. these ilbe ppl are not hackers. they are not special agents. I can guarantee you that 90% of the users on that site are basement dwellers.

    ReplyDelete
  52. because they are extream facists they think democracy is a problem but at the same time they are trolls, they know that if they bulkbuy secret's albums is gonna bring them attention from common netizens and there will be a bunch of articles and instead of letting go people will start asociating secret with ilbe and it will ruin them

    ReplyDelete
  53. e__e whaaaaa?
This seems like it will lead up to something scary. Did someone find out her past and is starting a movement or something?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Pity hyosung. All these llbe users are just trying to find people to bully/make fun of /and be treated like a joke.
I doubt they really are fans of SECRET or worship her. They just wanna see the reaction and their influence on mainstream culture since they possess so much hatred towards the mainstream.

    ReplyDelete
  55. their trolling = profit for secret and their company

sure it looks bad now but these idiots are still wasting their $$ and secret is pocketing their cash. w/e w/e.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Could you translate the very top comments as well? I'm curious what the non-Ilbe user knetizens think of this.

    ReplyDelete
  57. THe worst thing that could happen is disbandment if they get labeled as ilbe-dol or something. No one wants that.

    ReplyDelete
  58. sick. Whoever figures out how to scare off ilbe in an honest, respectable way could be a national hero.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I see and I think the media is also feasting on this issue since people also devours news about them.
    Messed up system indeed.

    ReplyDelete
  60. lmao you do know you're making some people hate t-ara more by brining them up in subjects like this right

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm more worried about TS as a whole!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Ilbe users are basically extremists, misogynistic rats that say stuffs like women need to get beaten 1 once every 3 days to function, humped a cardboard cut out of Suzy and posted it online, stick a penis into a dog, celebrated the death of a celeb..I forgot who, they think democracy = communism, make fun of the Gwangju massacre etc etc

Basically they're trolls and trash that like hurting other people and everyone hate them.

    ReplyDelete
  63. no, it won't. regular netizens will just discredit them going up on the charts and take it as proof that she really is an ilbe goddess.

secret is in major trouble if they continue to do this >.<

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm aware of what Ilbe are and the whole controversy but I don't understand why everyones scared that they're buying lots of albums D: Is it because having Ilbe associated to SECRET will just tarnish their name further?

    ReplyDelete
  65. i just knew....... sorry i am kinda new in these stuffs

    ReplyDelete
  66. I don't think this person is a T-ara fan but just a troll using a name that he knows will get under people's skins.

    ReplyDelete
  67. i'm getting such a terrible vibe from this, i'm actually scared for SECRET's safety. i know what Hyosung said was bad, but i hope none of these creeps try to do something to them seeing as how SECRET has somehow become cult figures....

    ReplyDelete
  68. things like this really freak me out. It just shows that everything we do has a consequence and your life can change in an instant.

    ReplyDelete
  69. lol it's ok :) I admit it is kind of scary how much power is given to these internet groups. There are still a lot of people who are scared of the Anonymous group on 2ch. It's a lot of fear mongering and people believing in "stories" told to them lol it's happening on this site now.. all these explanations about what ilbe is and what kind of things they've done.

    ReplyDelete
  70. next thing you know they'll be showing up to shows and sending gifts and taking weird pics with their posters and stuff. secret is in alot of trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Yes. They're not doing this to help Secret. They know they will get a public reaction by doing this and they crave attention. Secret's image being ruined does not concern them, they don't care about Secret.

    ReplyDelete
  72. This is getting really deep.. Honestly I am Korean and I just did quick search about this case to see the atmosphere and reaction how netizens are talking in many famous community site (Ohyou오유, ilbe일베, WootDae웃대, MLBPARK엠팍, DCinside디시인사이드 SLRCLUB, Clien클리앙, instiz인스티즈, bestiz베스티즈, SoccerLine싸커라인, Tellzone텔존) as much as I can.. And most of them are very very negative about what happened.. her image actually changed a lot in bad way.. Now even Koreans who doesn't know much about ilbe, they are getting to acknowledged how bad ilbe site is by seeing a scrapped post about extremely bad contents that was posted on ilbe as a sample(for example there is a post that has many pictures that civilians being beaten up and getting killed by military troop at 5.18 Gwangju Massacre and they comment those people as a sushi(sliced raw skate:홍어회, typical bad nickname they use to Gwangju people) and mocking the entire happening to just justified thing... In some pictures, one guy is being beaten up and ilbe-users are commenting it shelf is sliceing the fish to sushi.. And to another picture of bunch of coffins, they are commenting that bunch of sushi has been ready to be delivered to Jun-Ra-Do where this incident took place.. There are more disgusting examples, but this is one of the top case).. And all the regular normal netizens are being disgusted about ilbe's reality and talking this case as unacceptable thing to use term "democratize" in a purpose of negative meaning when you think about ancestors in Korea who fought to death for freedom against political dictatorship... Dang.. this is serious.... I am not a fan of SECRET but I really wanted to believe that she is not ilbe user, but imagining that those term just popped out of her mouth because she is use to ilbe-culture, it is kinda gross to think.. I mean even though she just heard those expression in random website, it is still very unforgivable to say "democratize" as a bad term.. It proves yourself that you are living a life without thinking.. or lack or knowledge and history.. Just saying that this isn't something that you can consider as small one word mistake when you think about the history and endless battle in society and internet between, twisted delusional mind of conservative(right wingers jerks:수구꼴통) and progressive (left wingers zombies:좌파좀비) when you call in their slang term...

    ReplyDelete
  73. Well even though we have netizen buzz people still believe thst Korea is narnia full of beautiful fairies and unicorns.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I like her so much but nobody can save her except herself. She posted an apology on her twitter. Wonder if NB will translate that?

    ReplyDelete
  75. ........this won't end well.

    ReplyDelete
  76. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4vc2tVz2M1qjbdpa.gif

    ReplyDelete
  77. I think that ilbe forum is on the same level as that white supremacist forum stormfront. Its so bad that Some countries have blocked stormfront from coming up in their google search results.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Calling AttentionMay 15, 2013 at 12:15 AM

Eh, should've known one of these controversies would blow up like this. Now this has become a societal problem less that of Secret's. Haven't been liking them up to this point but I hope they get passed this utter demented crap unscathed.

    ReplyDelete
  79. wow, everything for hyosung changed in one day..

    ReplyDelete
  80. erkk that so creepy.. no one can save hyosung and secret now.. now i'm really curious will it effect BAP since they in TS..

    ReplyDelete
  81. Okay....now I am getting worried. For secret and bap too o.o...I mean holy crap that is fast!

    ReplyDelete
  82. wth why don't they close this site down...like it really sounds like a terrorist group, korean government needs to shut down this site.

    ReplyDelete
  83. If they like her I don't think theyre going to harm her...theyre calling her their goddess...but yes this is really scary.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Not for the better...

    ReplyDelete
  85. Poor Hyosung :(

    ReplyDelete
  86. and Knetz r gonna buy "ilbe" shit and r gonna believe SECRET r ilbes, seriously i bet those ilbe lowlifes r just trolling as usual and soon they r gonna forget about SECRET because they don't care about anything,i am sure those idiots r just using all this controversy to: get more ppl to know them and also to take this opportunity to ruin someone

    ReplyDelete
  87. lol all my life my internet experience was at ameture levels. i swear i only used fb youtube twitter and google. kpop teaching me all these sites i never even heard about lol.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Wow you're so smart. -.-

    ReplyDelete
  89. *clap, clap* lets wait for Tara to mess things up again,

    ReplyDelete
  90. wasnt it an ilbe user that was taking nasty pics with a suzy cutout?

    ReplyDelete
  91. true and the sad part is that Knetz contribute to all this ilbe shit

    ReplyDelete
  92. america has a bunch of sites like these that aren't being closed either, even if they closed them they can always go to the deep web and no one can stop them there =/

    ReplyDelete
  93. ..They're not stories. All you have to do is go to the ilbe site and the proof is there.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Well freedom of speech. They aren't doing anything illegal.

    ReplyDelete
  95. that's like asking why America still allows 4chan, or Japan 2chan...freedom of speech is one of the pillars of democracy. unless ilbe users are complicit in an act of terrorism or something similar, i don't think the govt would care.

    ReplyDelete
  96. cause its too easy to start up a new page and site. even on fb they have these perverted pages that upload naked women and each one of em post links to their backup pages incase they get shut down. they shut it down a new site will be up in less than an hour.

    ReplyDelete
  97. they're terrorizing and pretty much doing a lot of illegal things. For example the guy who tweeted a picture of him humping Suzy--the police got involved and he originated from that site. They also spread a bunch of lies. Yes I know it freedom of speech, but it's crazy some of the stuff they're capable of doing. They're quite scary.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Yah they do but i feel like this ilbe group has a lot of presence and is really strong in SK. They seem really dangerous...the government should get involved...they're pretty much terrorizing.

    ReplyDelete
  99. "Poor Hyosung. This is got ugly fast." <--- fixed that for you lol.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I hope nothing bad, because they're making their mark on the industry ;_;

    ReplyDelete
  101. I don't really consider someone humping a cardboard cutout and taking a picture or spreading lies scary. Just seems like typical stuff you'd see on 4chan. I don't think it's good, of course, but to shut down the site would be pretty stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  102. There are probably thousands of more sites like these saying and doing worse shit across the web but they don't get attention. and i don't think they should be given more attention than they already have. and if the govt tries to shut them down, it will just justify everything in their minds they've been spewing about democratic governments.

ironic, considering sites like these wouldn't even be allowed in a dictatorship and that's what they want to return to...

    ReplyDelete
  103. true, but some of the shit they do is so crazy from what i've read.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I think westboro is shittier. I mean picketing outside the funeral of sandy hook victims?! Evil shouldn't be enough to describe them.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I feel scared for SECRET :(

    ReplyDelete
  106. It's exaggerated. They're not as dangerous as you think.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Are you apart of the site?...he posted a picture of him humping a cardboard cutout of suzy and tweeted it to her with also crude words....thats harassment and if it wasn't serious enough the police wouldn't have gotten involved. Those types of acts should never ever be 'typical' or approved. To shut down the site would be stupid? Really they are a bunch of disgraceful human beings...the stupid thing would be to not shut down the site before they think they have all the power in the world and do something crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Which knetizens are you referring too? Ilbe users are also knetizens.

    ReplyDelete
  109. that tiny snowball turned into a huge avalanche. good lord. scary stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  110. She's smart (ranked high when she was in highschool even though she was a trainee) and she's an adult so she knew what that word meant. I don't understand why she used it but she did. I pity her groupmates.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Hyosungs grades ranked high when she was in school. She isn't stupid. I don't know why she said what she said but she did know what it meant. I feel bad for the other members. :(

    ReplyDelete
  112. Well I may exaggerated how bad ilbe is.. It's not like terrorist or something who actually acts in real world, but more like place where netizens who gathers up to release their stressed temper in a very low, nasty way.. especially politically.... But still they do have very very low culture.. posted contents, converstion, replies.. If you are Korean and visit that site, you will feel immediately... well ofcourse they have many different boards.. Most popular board that represents ilbe culture, it is "Politic" section... but still when you look up for like "Girl group, Celeb" or "Chat" board, its kinda OK.. but still they have rough mannered culture..

    ReplyDelete
  113. If you start closing down sites for things you consider disgraceful, albeit within the law, where do you draw the line?

    ReplyDelete
  114. "Poor Hyosung. This is going to get ugly, and fast." or "Poor Hyosung. This got ugly fast." <-- fixed it for you. BoA578's was more correct then yours.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Everything is a mess now because of just one word, sigh

    ReplyDelete
  116. South korean government and ruling(conservative) party are actually fostering Ilbe website because Ilbe say they are patriotic conservative netizens while they are not innocent.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Karma, baby. Karma

    ReplyDelete
  118. nooooooooooooooooooooooo stop making this worse ilbe. i don't want them to get the t-ara treatment.

    ReplyDelete
  119. South korean government and ruling(conservative) party are actually
fostering Ilbe website because ilbe users are politically conservative. On last year's South korean presidential election ilbe users played a huge role in making candidate Park Gun-Hye, from conservative Saenuri Party, elected.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Koreans netizens are so dramatic.....you can tell you didn't mean any harm....she didn't know the real meaning of the word.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Why karma? Explain because that doesn't make any sense

    ReplyDelete
  122. t-ara's hated by netizens while this article comment... is all overtaken by ilbe users. seems scarier and creepier to me

    ReplyDelete
  123. exactly! we can't go and shut down every site because we don't like what they say. where and when would it stop? there's a thing called freedom of speech

    ReplyDelete
  124. They are making a bigger mess that it is !! They really want to sink secret down

    ReplyDelete
  125. Ignore the troll, she's not worth it

    ReplyDelete
  126. Ilbe users picket outside funerals too...

    ReplyDelete
  127. I actually really like yoo hoo song.

    ReplyDelete
  128. It probably won't affect BAP.

    ReplyDelete
  129. in the image on the top of this article one ilbe user say 'i bought 70 albums with real money 800,000 won'. this is beyond sanity.

    ReplyDelete
  130. To add onto that...if they are anything like /b/, misc, 4channers, or reddit users then they have the ability of finding out personal, real life, and private information. Such as your address, number, bank account possibly, and other information. Maybe going as far as finding out their families addresses.

They've done it on 4chan, they've done it on the Misc, and they would do it on ILBE. I have no doubt in my mind. I'm extremely worried here.

    ReplyDelete
  131. As long as they or TS don't do or say anything that will get them involved then it shouldn't affect them. People don't even know who they are, tbh.

    ReplyDelete
  132. wtf thats more than $700 USD. what occupations do these crazies have to be able to flog money like that so easily??

    ReplyDelete
  133. Your comparison to 4chan and reddit is rather silly. Most of the time its done in "good nature"(I.E pedophiles, animal abuse)

Your also a little misinformed, ilbe frankly couldn't give a shit about that stuff. The worst I could see them doing is sending real gifts to their families for "laughs"

Leave the crazy stalker shit to sasaengs.

    ReplyDelete
  134. This is creeping me out so much. I'm not korean so the idea of all this happening because of a word is really bizarre to me. I think I'm beginning to grasp how offensive this whole thing was to the public and I'm really scared for Secret now. I hope they are able to make this situation better somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Ible is nowhere near stormfront,ya'll just reading bullshit off anywhere now.

All the fear mongering is seriously getting outa control.

Its no worse than 4chan and 4chan isn't even that bad considering its exaggeration in the modern media.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I feel so bad for Hyosung ans SECRET, I don't think she meant any harm by it & now look what has happened. In reality, netizens took it to a whole other level and caused this controversy which in turn caused these Ilbe users to buy up these albums & makes a bigger fuss about it. I think this is much bigger than Hyosung's misuse of a word. I am honestly scared for their safety now, poor Hyosung.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Like 4chan,trolling for entertainment.

Most of the shit on there is harmless, like 4chan,just the media blows a lot of what they do out of proportion, again like 4chan.

    ReplyDelete
  138. haha no way is it at the same level as stormfront.

    ReplyDelete
  139. this is chaos !!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  140. I pity the rest of the members ahhhh such a shame

    ReplyDelete
  141. ilbe just saw it as the perfect oportunity to get attention from netizens and bring secret down at the same time they are probably laughing their asses off at hyosung

    ReplyDelete
  142. biggest trolls ever, then again secret is getting the money... which probably is the main problem here (in the eyes of people).

    http://www.androiddissected.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/RonBurgundyEscalation.jpg

    ReplyDelete
  143. you think she knows and used it on purpose? idk, to me she's dumb because she thought she was using a big word she heard somewhere to try to sound smart not because she had bad intentions

    ReplyDelete
  144. I'm sorry, but I can't help but feel like you're just adding fuel to the fire by posting this. I know you're informing people of the reaction, but we already know the reaction is bad.

In one part you're saying she doesn't know the meaning of the word, and then in another you're saying she does know. It's really off putting, honestly. So which is it? It's almost like you're addicted to spreading the dramatics of it all. Checking all the sites, telling people she must be ILBE, or that she knew the words meaning...I respect you're Korean, but don't you think you're being too much?

To say it's unforgivable to use a word you didn't use with ill intent and without knowing the correct context or definition is ridiculous to me. She could have seen the word anywhere. It's the internet. Yes, she was wrong, but it isn't unforgivable. People are CHOOSING to be unforgiving. Yes, the subject is sensitive, but she didn't intend for it to be. She made a mistake, and she should continue to apologize for it. In fact, I think she should do some community service for the mistake and dedicate some time to show her stance through actions. Not just words.

However, I don't think she should be condemned or treated like an outcast. This type of mentality is the exact type of mentality that needs to change in Korea. One mistake, and you're done for. It contributes to why the suicide rate is so high as well. You should know this as a Korean.

If she knew the meaning of the word, the correct context, was an ILBE user, and directly knew the type of consequence this would have on her and her career she would never use that word. Plain and simple. For so many people claiming Hyosung is unintelligent for using this world, most people seem to not be doing much critical thinking when it comes to the situation.

  145. ilbe aren't trying to bring secret down. they are supporting secret because they think hyosung has shown herself as a 'conservative patriot' by denying democratization(regardless of her original intention, ilbe guys interpret her words the way they want.)

    ReplyDelete
  146. If they close the site. It's just a proof that SK gov't is not democratic. Then, ilbe users will just give it a good laugh on a newly created site. And on how their country is returning as the ones in the past.

  147. She's not stupid. She got high grades in school (not an easy feat in Korea's competitive education system. What makes that even more impressive is she was also a trainee during that time so she wouldn't have had as much time to study).

Just because it's a good excuse to say and believe she said what she said because she's "stupid and wanted to use a big word to sound smart" doesn't make it true.

With her level of intelligence (and her age. Most Koreans who have at least highschool level education, and access to a computer, would understand what that word means and it's connotations.) she knew what that word meant. I really don't understand why she would use it. It sucks for her groupmates that she did.

  148. omg remember wh/b/ did to that jessi slaughter kid? they ruined her whole family even tried to send her dad to jail and at the end he died of a heart attack,

    ReplyDelete
  149. actually you sound like you have no idea of wht you are saying...

    ReplyDelete
  150. Right. 4chan and reddit ALWAYS do it in "good nature". You obviously don't know what you're talking about at all. However, that's besides the point. I didn't even imply that 4chan or reddit users do these things with malicious intent. I said they have the ability to do those things...and if ILBE is apparently as horrible as everyone says they are (information coming from actual Koreans) then who says it wouldn't stop them? Do you happen to know all the ILBE users on the community? I doubt you do, so who are you to say what they'd do or what they wouldn't? It only takes one psychopath, and in that type of environment -- it practically invites that type of personality in.

They are extremists, unpredictable, and sometimes violent from the information we've been given from Koreans themselves.

Beyond that, sending something to their houses for "laughs"?? This is why internet trolling has gone so far. People think "well we just did it to be FUNNY". As if that makes it ok. That is an invasion of privacy. It's creepy. It's not funny when it happens to you, even if they send a gosh darn chocolate heart. The fact that someone out there, who is anonymous, purposely found your information and to the opportunity to use it to intimidate you for their own pleasure and "laughs" is unacceptable. Why don't people understand this simple concept?

    ReplyDelete
  151. how legit is their bulk buying? i mean its the internet anyone can say i bought x amount or even show a photoshopped proof pic. if the reported sales numbers next week dont show an upward spike then its just more ilbe bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Yeah I agree with your feedback on my comments, most of the parts... maybe I was to excited.. But I didn't have any intention of putting fuel, it was already fueled by bunch of K-netizens and I was just delivering the info "how things are being fueled".. but I apologize if my words kinda sounded like any typical K-netizens.. For example, may be like "unforgivable" is too strong word to choose.. And I really hope that she recovers from this...

    ReplyDelete
  153. that's not how it works, they are just using them they don't give a fuck about secret, they just think that this stupid girl is bringing attention to them plus they can have fan ruining their careers

wow just visited ilbe.com and 1 guy posted insect dissection. he counted every part and took close up pictures of the entire process. these ilbe guys are seriously fcked up....

  155. I feel that this mishap will get bigger than T-ara's. For one reason is that T-ara antis submerged themselves in bullying inside industry while Hyosung's misused word is somethings against the republic. And we all know how much Koreans rage when it comes to nationalism :/ Ilbe users are even adding here, stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  156. No, it's okay. Sorry if I sounded too critical. I just wanted to be honest. Anyway, I respect what you said and thanks for hearing out my point of view.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Right, but what happens when she or Secret or TSE makes a statement against them? Who knows what kind of people are on that community...it just takes one freak to do something stupid...

the constitution and the bill of rights...hell even the first amendment and freedom of speech and expression....have you ever even heard of those things? unless they have a fully thought plan with not only the intention of carrying those out but also evidence toward taking ACTION towards carrying out whatever terrorist act, they are allowed to say and express whatever feeling they want to. that is how it should be and what the premise of the birth of america was based on.

    ReplyDelete
  159. if she was that smart as you said and was aware of what she was saying she wouldn't use it! she wouldn't do something that stupid on purpose.
You are the one asuming she's ilbe's fan and is against democracy and is trying to use her idol status to spread ilbe's message to the world or something lol a smart person would not do this to themselves on purpose.

    ReplyDelete
  160. if they are the korean equivalent of 4chan then they are THAT bad, if /b/ was capable of doing this to an 11 year old girl then they as shitty as people say they are http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/events/jessi-slaughter

    ReplyDelete
  161. Then their level of shittiness is the same.

  162. wow SECRET is in deep shit now.. but the thing i want to know is that is Hyosung really an IIbe????? i really like her & her personality but if it's true then damn really disappointing

i think the netizens who i-stalk celebrities and petition for idols to kill themselves are scarier

    ReplyDelete
  164. Wooow, all I can say is this is going to get extremely messy for Secret. . .

Yeah. Ilbe doesn't care for SECRET's music, they know that k-netizens hate them and doing things like buying Secret's music is gonna bring attention to themselves.

In the words of Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez, "This could be the start of something new" and not in a good way.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Can TS doing something like public apologize

    ReplyDelete
  170. lol, good for secret; I guess. get that money girls.

    ReplyDelete
  171. ilbe are full of attention whores

  172. I use reddit all the time, not everything in reddit is bad, stop. Reddit is not /b/.

    ReplyDelete
  173. oh please she just use a word by mistake (and I guess because she doesn't think much, she's an idol) she didn't kill someone.
    She apologizes already, it's enough.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I almost feeling sorry for the bimbo, almost.

    ReplyDelete
  175. guess who's riding some r&b black D as we type

    ReplyDelete
  176. while the internet did bully and harrass that poor kid, they weren't responsible for his (I believe jessi identifies as a boy now) family breaking up or his going into foster care. his family had issues long before the internet drama.

    ReplyDelete
  177. It makes me really sad at how quickly this has escalated. IMO Secret has been in the running to be one the top girl groups and have a long career. It even seemed like they were doing well with "YooHoo" and now this...now it seems like this scandal is just going to get bigger and bigger.... I really hope Hyosung is not a member of that site and only mixed up her words... Yeesh. :(

    ReplyDelete
  178. they went up on the charts already tho they were around 7-9th place now they are at 5th

    ReplyDelete
  179. You can't just shut down sites when you don't agree with their user's point of view. Democracy, freedom of speech and all that. The same reason why they can't shut down 4chan. If one of the users does something illegal, the police goes after him, not the whole site.

I'm personally honestly thankful for sites like these. If they didn't exist these people would be allover the internet with their pent up anger and frustration. This way they have their own little corner where they spew hate and once in a while troll around by buying a girl group album in bulk.

Guys... Don't panic. It's not as serious as some of you are making it out to be.

    ReplyDelete
  180. I feel like some people aren't really understanding how it can still be bad that she said it even if she didn't know what it meant. I was trying to think of an analogy, the closest thing I could think of is if someone went on the radio in the US and said "the n word" without knowing that it's a slur, people would still be very upset that it was said by that person because they had to hear it from somewhere so just the fact that it implies that they're around people who use that word in that way tarnishes their image.

    ReplyDelete
  181. Oh lord, as a Secret fan I am just facepalming at all of this. :( This is the kind of attention the girls don't need.

    ReplyDelete
  182. lol feels like they're doing it on purpose to add fuel to the fire. i swear they want to bring hyosung down as well.

    ReplyDelete
  183. It's the closest analogy, I agree, but I think that a racial slur is still far, far worse.
