Park Shi Hoo revealed to have offered A a settlement fee of $100,000

Article: Park Shi Hoo offers $100,000 to 'A' after lawsuit... attempt at settlement fails

Source: TV Report via Nate

1. [+802, -107] So he rapes her and then tries to turn her into a kkot-baem by offering $100,000, which only pisses her off more so she refuses to settle. I wonder how scared Park Shi Hoo has been all this time in case this got to the media? That A must be really pissed... Park Shi Hoo's really over now, isn't he

2. [+791, -136] Did he think she'd just take the money and run? ㅋㅋㅋ If she was a real kkot-baem, she would've taken it, yeah? ㅋㅋㅋ But she refused. Park Shi Hoo, time to go to jailㅋ

3. [+742, -90] As someone who went through Seobyun craze, Seungyoo craze, Seungjo craze... Not only am I disappointed, but disgusted with him.. Stop acting so dirty and get investigated ㅡㅡ

4. [+247, -13] The part in the article where it says the woman asked for a higher settlement is all made up by Park Shi Hoo's reps... A said that she refused the settlement all together. Park Shi Hoo's media play is going strong ㅋ

5. [+202, -13] Seems his plan was to turn the woman into a kkot-baem by having her take the $100,000 so he could continue his career under the kkot-baem shield of his stupid fangirls. What a disgusting thought.

Article: Park Shi Hoo attempts settlement, $100,000 offered to celebrity trainee A

Source: TV Daily via Nate

1. [+213, -18] If Park Shi Hoo was really innocent, would he have offered such a settlement? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+185, -18] Obviously he's got something he's guilty of that he offers the settlement first...

3. [+157, -12] Wow, now I'm really curious how this whole thing will end. It's like a novel... all sorts of stuff coming out the deeper this case gets.

hey it makes sense, even if it wasnt real (not saying is not, but guilty till proven not) he knew his image will be damaged by something like that, giving her money makes sense even if its not true

  2. well giving money means you are guilty or you are innocent and want the case to end up quickly but at the end giving money is always a bad decision

  3. Well then, this is just the icing on the cake. A+ on ruining your own career PSH.

  4. Oh my fucking god. -____-

  5. pf can it be any more bad?

  6. can you take the money and still report him? or is there a contract while taking the money? im not saying she did that, im just curious. i dont know how these things work.

    ReplyDelete
  7. But the investigation isn't even over. Offering a settlement at this point in the case is just weird and simply a very dumb move.

    ReplyDelete
  8. he was dead in the water the minute they announced they had the video footage, him and his team knew it

    ReplyDelete
  9. If she took the money she wouldn't be able to take the case further, hence a settlement, it's meant to settle and end it.

  10. oh goodie it is finally here.

  11. people should still reserve their judgement as fishy as this sounds lol. Just because he offered money, it doesn't make him guity by default. He possibly could've offered the money in an attempt to keep her from talking even if he didn't rap her because he doesn't want the controversy. Don't knw why everyone has so much to say already. let the case take it's course first.

    ReplyDelete
  12. ok thanks. so you can have only one thing. i was thinking if someone can lie about taking the money and still report the person. but i guess they can sue them or something.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Lol wow, I'm boggled at all the bad decisions his team makes, like this whole case is one bad PR move after another. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out, now that A has refused a settlement, if it'll really go to trial and if he'll really be prosecuted as though he were a non-celebrity of average wealth.

  14. PSH, keep digging deeper in your hole. Maybe you'll dig deep enough that you'll end up in so e rural town in China where the cops can't get you.

  15. Differences vs here and AKP

    1. AKP says this is rumored, NB says it's fact.
    2. People at AKP think that she is only after money hence refusing the settlement.
"] The part in the article where it says the woman asked for a higher settlement is all made up by Park Shi Hoo's reps... A said that she refused the settlement all together. Park Shi Hoo's media play is going strong ㅋ"

Hello? IF she think he's guilty do you think a persons dignity is worth simply closing this case without convicting the two criminals?

    ReplyDelete
  16. there was some hope for this guy when the drug tests came clean, but honeslty he just keeps messing things up and to me he is guilty

    ReplyDelete
  17. please A don't receive it..this low life bastard thinks he can just settle everything with money

    ReplyDelete
  18. that would be wrong on so many levels

    ReplyDelete
  19. if its allowed and im victimized, i would take the money and put the criminal in jail. that way im satisfied and compensated. i dont think of it as wrong :/

  20. I've read too many articles about this case and now i'm getting a headache. There are so many inconsistencies in the articles posted on various news sites (in English & Korean) that I don't know which parts are facts ㅠ.ㅠ especially the timeline!
For example: when did the girl file for report to the police? I remember reading here (A's friend's account) that A filed for rape allegations the next day after the incident. So that means, the 16th... is that right? But I read in one of Korean online news (naver or nate, I forgot), she filed it on the 18th. And now I read from Korean English news site (Joongang), she filed it on the 19th. Here's the link: http://koreajoongangdaily.joinsmsn.com/news/article/article.aspx?aid=2967747&cloc=joongangdaily|home|newslist1 ---to be honest, I'm not sure if this particular article is written by PSH's legal team or not, or the reporter is just trying to look neutral???
Anyway, I have to admit I felt reluctant to listen to Princess' Man OST ever since I read that PSH kept delaying the questioning. I'm all for PSH to have severe punishment, including exposing his junior's identity, if they're found guilty.
So... back to establishing timeline. Anyone care to tell me the exact date the girl went to the police? When did the media first got a whiff of this scandal? ~ It's just for the sake of sorting out this news in my head. Thanks.

my feeling exactly. how could i re-watch those dramas again now? -_-

  22. This is only rumors guys. Not confirmed.

    ReplyDelete
  23. but there already is a controversy! like what?????

    ReplyDelete
  24. the girl is so stupid, why would she have dinner with a guy she only met once and drink the alcohol they give her... so stupid, really.

    ReplyDelete
  25. idk maybe b/c she's a human being with human traits?

she was being polite. not accepting a drink from a senior/elder is perceived as "rude" or "disrespectful" in korea.

and also he was her senior and she was a trainee. maybe she thought she could get advice or something.

    herpderp

    ReplyDelete
  26. Korean drinking culture. Plus, the junior K who is supposed to be friend with A also went dinner with them.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yea, you can either take the money and settle the case, or deny it and continue. It's similar to how someone can either go through with a trial or they can accept a plea bargain and get a better deal.

    ReplyDelete
  28. So...when is he finally going to speak to the police? He keeps on postponing and coming up with bullshit excuses.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Thanks for that. We seriously can't pass all judgement yet, right now the whole case is under the mercy of the media, rather than being worked out by the law.

    ReplyDelete
  30. except that the case can't take its freaking course because psh refuses to cooperate with the police. why should we still be giving him any benefit of the doubt?

    ReplyDelete
  31. "1. [+213, -18] If Park Shi Hoo was really innocent, would he have offered such a settlement? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ"

    Agree.

    ReplyDelete
  32. There's a lot of comments by k/inetizens saying I would sleep with him for free etc.. just have to lol at these comments. Do they think psh would sleep with them! The girl A was a trainee she was already in the industry circle and she was probably pretty. And the actors use higher end escorts (hostess girls) these girls must be highly educated young and very pretty. It's tough competition to be one.
PSH won't sleep with you nobody fangirl netizens even for free.

  33. Oh man, I really liked him in Cheongdamdong Alice...the hell is wrong with you man?
You were a fcking famous guy in the industry and you could've find love but you decided to rape her...

    ReplyDelete
  34. Tired of this case....if he's locked up so be it..if he isn't so be it
either way his career is fked..

    ReplyDelete
  35. i started to like park shi hoo after cheamdamdong alice..what a shame he involve in this kind of case..

The articles against the victim may very well have been planted by his reps. He has more money and influence.

  37. blueskiesarehappinessFebruary 26, 2013 at 11:47 PM

Giving settlement money may not be sure sign of guilt as being a celeb he might want to keep things low BUT he still hasn't gone for questioning. Why does Korean law allow this at all?! There has a number of articles casting doubt on the victim, which is suspiciously like a smear campaign.

    ReplyDelete
  38. quite agree...On the 26th, TV Chosun had an exclusive segment where they reported that Park Si Hoo had attempted to reach an mutual monetary agreement with ‘A’, but the negotiations had fallen apart. Park Si Hoo had offered ‘A’ 100,000,000 KRW (approximately $92,000 USD)..... as i said previously power, money and influence work wonders in the industry....both in the past and present there were many examples for it for now the prime example is PSH.......this news is not new to me becoz it was reported and had been confirmed previously he and the accomplice met victim after the incident for an outside settlement......he is trying now everything in the book doesn't matter by hook or crook to get out of this... he is trying his best in getting her to retract her statement ....this why women goes in hiding rather than showing at police station......lot of water has flown under the bridge for him to be innocent..... Innocent people don't hide for 10+ days manipulating and doing media play instead of presenting their side of story to the police.......... hoping law doesn't get crubed by power, money or influence and justice be severely and rightfully served which i doubt though...........

  39. Said before PSH's team of lawyers are doing a good job. They offered her $ and no matter what her decision gonna be, they can twist it to their benefit.

She refuse: She wanted more $.
    She accept: She's a kkot-baem.

Surprisingly, why the fk can this rapist and his lawyers engage their battle through the media whereas the victim have to fight alone? Why does the police or Korea pathetic legal system not stop them? If he refuse to meet with the police, they should gag him from talking to the media no matter what!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I can't even look at his face without feeling disgusted anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Keyword here is 'may'. Nobody knows nothing at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  42. The media play is working. In naver articles a lot of netizens are calling her a kkot baem again.

    ReplyDelete
  43. How did NB do that? The title is "Park Shi Hoo revealed to have offered A a settlement fee of $100,000" Can anyone explain how this was biased in any way?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Asshole, just man up.

    ReplyDelete
  45. He look like Zhu Bajie with lipstick!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sorry but... this is a war. Both parts are making PR. The girl is from his previous agency, so the agency knows how to make PR too. Both parts are using their weapons and the journalists are making that possible.

You need to read more than one article; every 20 minutes is being posted a new article. They are copying each other, without providing factual information, always with the view of the journalist to stoke the flame of this scandal. And you can't corroborate them because you can't find the primary source.

If you do that, you are going to lose your faith in Korean journalism and the same goes for the comments.

Nobody knows the true, and I guess we won't know... never.

Now Park Shi Ho has a lawyer (or more than one) and now he isn't really making the decisions, so he's just following the lawyers advices. Of course that advices may sound wrong for us however they are one of the best law firms in Korea, so they must know what are they doing.

We really don't know how works the system in Korea, but people here have a great believe in the system.... How works in your country? Always the guilty are sentenced? Always the no-guilty goes free?

The "if he is not guilty" argument is really plain... I can't respond every one of them -it will take forever to do that- but that kind of argument is not right. I know what I say, my mother is a lawyer.

And the police... even people in Korea are amazed about all the leaking to the media... even before they confirm the facts... Do you know the competitiveness between the Police Agencies? This case can be a really good oportunity of them...

There are a lot of contradictions and exaggerations and sensationalism in this case that... having a opinion should be difficult but for some people is too easy to make a judgement...

(Sorry for my mistakes, I'm not a native English speaker)

    ReplyDelete
  47. But it was very late when she went to the restaurant, for Korea, so go for advice at 12 midnight ... when the boys were already drinking for a while... a girl alone with two guys...

Moreover, according to her best friend, she had seen K only once before this day ...

I'm not saying that is or not a rape. I'm just arguing against because is too easy to play, in this whole case, the devil's advocate for both sides.

However the girl being so naive that she didn't know how the night can end... I don't buy it.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The title sounds like it's a fact even though it's just a rumor.

    ReplyDelete
  49. This story has 2 days now and no one denied it..

    ReplyDelete
  50. If this case goes to trial he'll probably have to pay a compensation to her anyway in the end, even if he goes to prison.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Such "simple minded" comment. You offer settlement because you need to protect your reputation, because sometimes the fight may cost you too much...I'm not defending him, and probably nobody will read this, but I'm a lawyer and so such comments piss me off
