Bang Shi Hyuk speaks with CNN on SM acquisition

Article: Bang Shi Hyuk has remained silent all this time but reveals his reason for SM acquisition in CNN interview

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+117] Hybe is the better option than Kakao for an acquisition~

2. [+92] Isn't the real monopoly Kakao...??? There is no company other than Kakao with as many subsidiaries..

3. [+57] Just curious but why did he give this interview to CNN? I feel like he could've held a press conference or just went on any Korean broadcast channel?
- [+118] The Korean media tends to exaggerate these things and put out clickbait headlines. The entire world also has their eyes on the K-Pop market so I think that's why he went with CNN instead.
- [+66] If he had given this interview to the Korean media, the headlines would probably be something like "Hybe acquiring SM to make up for losses from BTS enlistment"

4. [+34] I thought that was Kim Jong Un for a second

5. [+55] Why's he talking as if he created the K-POp market.

6. [+50] SM is the second most profitable entertainment company and that's why Hybe wants it. Just say it like it is instead of all this stuff about caring about the growth of K-Pop or whatever. Just admit that you know you can't rely on BTS forever so you're just acquiring this and that, and now you see an opportunity at buying SM for cheap.

7. [+37] I hope that this acquisition is an opportunity to bring growth to K-Pop in the global market like he says~!! 🙏🙏🙏

8. [+24] He looked like Kim Il Sung for a second ㅋ

9. [+43] I thought that was Kim Jong Un ㅋㅋㅋ

10. [+6] Who's to say that Bang Shi Hyuk won't pull an Lee Soo Man in the future

11. [+4] People have nothing else to hate on so they're going after this face ㅋㅋㅋ

12. [+27] He's becoming more and more like Kim Jong Un 🐷
