1. [+1,826, -163] I refuse to eat pastries baked by a monopoly from the blood and bones of their laborers
2. [+935, -47] This corporation needs to understand why laborers are important and why they are the foundation of a country
3. [+473, -12] Pokemon pastries are under the SPC
4. [+446, -16] Instead of compensating the deceased's family and thinking that it's over, please start regulating how you're going to make sure this never happens again. I feel bad for all of the convenience chain owners who are being affected by this boycott.
5. [+303, -39] I've enjoyed hobbangs every winter for decades now but will be passing on it for the first time this year
6. [+75, -3] I understand that accidents happen in factories but the way this company is handling it is making it feel like they view human lives as something as insignificant as a fly's. How in the world they can be a monopoly at all... I wouldn't even be so mad if these laborers were paid so much more in the name of capitalism, but that wasn't even the case either.
7. [+63, -6] I know that my personal decision to not buy one product won't have that much of an influence on a monopoly, but I still refuse to buy products from a company without an ounce of respect for their laborers and their families.
8. [+47, -0] Baskin Robins, Paris Baguette, Dunkin Donuts, Samlip, Shany, etc are all under SPC ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ this is why newer companies have no room to even enter the market because they're crushed down by capitalism immediately.
9. [+47, -4] There are over 800 deaths in a year caused by industrial accidents. We need to all be boycotting together.
10. [+41, -3] I know that this isn't an issue specific to just SPC but consumers need to start taking an interest and exerting their influence on these matters for companies to listen and change. If we continue to treat these industrial accidents as things out of our control, we will never see the change we need.
11. [+38, -10] Why should the Paris Baguette chain owners have to suffer for this??? It's not like they signed on knowing this would happen. If you want to buy their products, buy it, and if you don't, then don't. Don't pressure and judge others for buying their products. If chain owners start killing themselves over this, what're you going to say then?
12. [+29, -5] Boycott Baskin Robbins too
13. [+27, -4] The boycott against SPC is understandable... The fact that a laboror had died and all they did was wrap them in cloth while continuing to make pastries on another machine... SPC has shown that humans are not worth more than their money. A decent amount of greed can advance mankind but greed of this level will ruin us all.
14. [+24, -5] It gives me hope that our country is at least coming together to boycott something terrible that's been exposed
15. [+20, -1] So are you okay with all of the Paris Baguette chains going under and their owners' families being ruined? I know a chain owner who's out in his store from morning to night, cleaning and greeting customers, a father who works really hard. Before you jump into these boycotts, go take a look at the faces of the Paris Baguette chain owners. They are not corporate drones under SPC or anything. They are your average people like anyone else.
