Busan lodgings called out for price gouging tourists in time for free BTS concert

1. [+746, -2] I'm pretty sure BTS and Busan are not going through all these lengths for the city to rip off 100,000 domestic and international fans who are gathering for this event with positive intentions... It's upsetting and angering that businesses are doing this.
2. [+337, -10] Consumers need to fight back. Start petitions threatening to not go, to not sleep in the city for the night. Even if you do end up going, find lodgings nearby in Kimhae or Yangsan. These establishments will wake up once they aren't able to profit from it. You can get to any nearby lodging in an hour from Busan by bus or subway. Let the Busan establishments feel it in their wallets~ or maybe even call it a night in a sauna~

5. [+61, -0] This concert is going to bring in 100,000 people. Again, 100,000 people. If businesses in the area played this right, they could've come away with a lot of money. Instead, they're going to be turning away all of the foreigners who were thinking of vacationing in the city for a few days. There are already a lot of people making reservations in Ulsan. Considering that this concert is to bring awareness for a Busan Expo bid, the people of Busan should be trying everything to attract people and attention to stay. The city also needs to be doing more to regulate stuff like this instead of inviting a group and expecting them to do all of the legwork. All of these things should've been considered and settled upon prior to the announcement.

7. [+26, -0] Armies, please don't even buy a bottle of water while you're in Busan. Please reserve your lodgings in Ulsan. Ulsan's closer to the concert venue than Busan anyway.

They are ruining their city's image by acting like this instead of coming together to accommodate such an event. This was an opportunity for them to get their name out there to the world as a desirable tourist city but they are kicking this opportunity out the window so pathetically.

So many international fans will be attending this event and these establishments are too blinded by their own greed to consider our country's image in the eyes of tourists! How are you not embarrassed? BTS is bringing so many Armies to help our nation profit, what are you doing???
