Aespa's Ningning under controversy for refusing to bow during Korean greetings

Video: Aespa Ningning under controversy for video clips showing only her refusing to bow (Same path as Wang Yiren...?!)

1. [+1,200] I find Korean fans who keep stanning Chinese idols more bizarre

2. [+638] What's funny and sad about this whole thing is that it's not that China doesn't have a culture of bowing... they used to, it's just that they decided it was a bad custom during the cultural revolution and got rid of it. The Taiwanese still bow.

3. [+659] I still find it funny that Karina was the most controversial member when this group debuted and also got the most hate but ever since their debut, she's been the most quietest ㅋㅋ.. really goes to show that you should never assume everything about a person.

4. [+401] There's a reason there's the saying do as the Romans do when in Rome

5. [+111] K-Pop singers who promote in China all memorized Chinese sayings for New Year greetings and whatnot. They also never forcefully did any Korean bows over there either. However, Ningning is under a K-Pop agency working as a K-Pop singer and it's just rude that she refuses to do her greetings the Korean way. Why does she think all the other Japanese and Thai idols greet the Korean way?

6. [+427] She chose to come to Korea to make her money here. She doesn't have to understand our culture but she should at least pretend to be following our customs on the outside, no? It's not like Koreans go to a country where it's uncustomary to pet the heads of children and still forcefully do it.

7. [+498] I'm trying to be understanding that we all have different customs and whatnot but considering the sentiment going on in our country, shouldn't she at least get a clue and show that she's putting in some kind of effort?

8. [+375] Giselle's a foreigner and has no problem with bowing ㅋㅋㅋ

9. [+117] This group would be perfect without Ningning

10. [+54] There are plenty of Japanese, Thai, and other foreigner idols who have no problem with the Korean bow. If it's only the Chinese idols who hate doing it, then don't promote in our industry at all. Why make your money in Korea but refuse to give your fans New Year blessings?

1. [+4,023, -29] Just kick her out and promote the group as three

2. [+2,393, -9] No more training foreign idols. They all backstab us and go back to their home countries to talk sh*t about Korea and Koreans. This isn't the first time this has happened.

3. [+1,584, -5] Is it even necessary to have Chinese members? If anything, it feels like a detriment to the group's global activities.

4. [+181, -3] SM itself is a pro-China company. From EXO to f(x), there has not been one group where they haven't included a Chinese member because they know that they won't get Chinese investments without them. It's really a turn off.

5. [+155, -0] I have yet to see a group be successful solely off of their Chinese member so why do we keep including them? Why doesn't SM just transfer their company to China already?

6. [+114, -0] BTS has been a long running group because they don't have Chinese members. If they had one, he would've backstabbed the group and left already.

7. [+73, -0] Ningning's Chinese. If she likes her home country so much, why not go home? Why make her money here?

8. [+34, -0] I have never seen a Chinese idol who worked in Korea go back to China and say nice things about our country. Does anyone remember all of the heinous things Hangeng said about Korea when he went back? SM has suffered this time and time again but continues to suck up to China like a good lap dog, and it's really pathetic to see them do allt his for them only to still be banned from holding concerts there.
