1. [+102] He was 13 years old... people are being so... it's unfair that everyone's so lenient when it comes to themselves but hold celebrities up to these impossible standards...
- So what if he was 13? ㅋㅋㅋ Were you racist when you were 13 too? ㅋㅋ
- What kind of logic is this? So if you're young, everything can be forgiven?

2. [+33] Back in the 2000s, even in the 1990s, people were saying blatantly racist things on TV. I can see how he thought it was okay to see this stuff without a filter if he was 13 then but he is in the wrong on this.

3. [+42] But he was 13..

4. [+20] Change the genders on this. If a female idol had done this, she would've been exiled already ㅋㅋ He's surviving this scandal because he's a male idol 👏👏

5. [+36] 13 is not a mature or young age. It's an age where he should've known what swearing and racism are, and that what he said is problematic and offensive to people. Both hateful and racist words are still hateful and racist whether said be a 3 year old, 13 year old, or 23 year old. An apology is a given in this situation, but it doesn't make what he said go away. He needs to be more careful in the future. Of course, the best situation would be to never have to write such an apology again.

6. [+17] Why does him being 13 make it okay.. were you all like this when you were 13? I'm pretty sure the majority of us weren't ㅋㅋ we all knew it was wrong

7. [+12] Wow, look at his fans shielding him while bringing in an unrelated artist like Taeyeon into the mess;; his fans are just as brainless as their singer

8. [+6] He made a mistake but he was 13 and reflected over it, shouldn't that be all that matters? Everyone makes mistakes.

9. [+9] Can agency CEOs please stop picking kids based on their faces and take a look at their character too? tsk tsk tsk

10. [+2] Wait, you all are hating on a choding?
