His webtoon 'Bok Hak Wang' features a scene with a female intern character Bong Ji Eun at her company's dinner outing. She cracks open a clam with the narration, "It's not about how hard you work, or your education, your credentials, effort... her cells themselves were wanting work." The scene then transitions to her getting the job. Readers interpreted the cracking of the clam to mean that she had slept with a 40 year old senior from a previous episode who doubted her to land her job. Once criticisms of the scene came about, the clam was replaced with a crab.

1. [+714, -229] He's had several controversies already from other misogynistic scandals to putting down the disabled to even racism, and yet he continued to squeeze himself onto TV and drawing his webtoons. I saw the drawing of the clam before he replaced it with the crab leg and it was disgusting. He really crossed the line with that scene.

2. [+1,018, -611] I think people should be given the creative freedom to express what they want. Just like how there are dramas with makjang trash in it... just don't watch if you don't like it. It's not even like this is real, it's a webtoon. Is there really nothing else for you guys to do than to start a national petition over this?

3. [+733, -435] Manhwas, movies, and novels all feature different issues that are fictional and for the point of the plot. Why argue about what's appropriate and what isn't? Why can't a manhwa feature stories about prostitutes, gangsters, murderers, adulterers, betrayers, and scammers? Please learn to differentiate fiction from reality. I honestly think the damned feminist organizations have a lot to do with Korea becoming like this.

4. [+417, -223] So I guess I can't ask a woman to go eat clams anymore, she'll sue me for sexual harassment

5. [+170, -27] I wonder if Kian himself knows that his webtoon encourages stigmas against local colleges, the disabled, and women? I wonder if he realizes that he's drawing violence with these ideas?

6. [+143, -30] This isn't his first controversy. It's ridiculous... and I don't like how mainstream media has made him out to be like some person who needs to be protected.

7. [+92, -10] Women are calling it out for being misogynistic so why are men feeling the need to argue over it?

8. [+153, -75] But don't a lot of movies and dramas feature plots like this?

9. [+80, -10] We're trying to discuss misogyny here and look at all the men barging in the comments saying it's not misogyny ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

1. [+145, -81] People will call anything misogyny nowadays ㅋㅋ

2. [+50, -19] Then how are people allowed to create anymore? Or express reality as it is?

3. [+39, -11] So.. why are people like this to Kian? Is this really something to petition over?

4. [+26, -15] I honestly think the scene could be seen as satire... why all this fuss over a creative work of fiction?

5. [+8, -2] Then what about movies like 'My Wife Got Married'... movies or novels about plots like that are fine? Why can't we just view creative works for what they are?
