Tiffany reflects on her difficult times

1. [+323, -48] Tiffany trained in Korea for four years before debuting with SNSD. Her uncle and Taeyeon's parents were effectively her parents at the time, and that's how they became best friends. Her own family never helped her at all, she had to tutor English to take care of herself.

Tiffany was really an orphan when she moved to Korea after her mother passed away, which is how she became so close with the other SNSD members, especially Taeyeon. For Tiffany to pay his debts off and cut contact makes it obvious how much they must've been pestering her this whole time.

3. [+237, -34] I think people need to think more logically about this #debttoo stuff. It's so sad that Tiffany was pestered with threats and had to pay his debts off. There's honestly no reason for a child to have to pay for something that isn't their responsibility. I think it's weird that their children are getting hate for this when they have nothing to do with the money borrowed. There's a ton of these debt stories from normal non-celebrity families too but just because these people happen to be celebrities, they're being dragged across national petitions. We need to separate parents from their kids when it comes to these responsibilities. This is why there are a lot of families that refuse to talk money within their own family.

4. [+40, -10] Sad to hear that she was threatened and paid it back for him. Her mother passed away at 14 and she was 16 when she came to Korea in 2004. It's why Tiffany is always saying she's so grateful to SNSD.

5. [+34, -7] As if Tiffany has benefitted from her father in anyway. She moved to Korea in junior high all on her own and lived off of her tutoring wage.

6. [+31, -6] Her situation is different from Microdot's. Tiffany did not benefit at all from the money her father bothered. Tiffany's the victim - why did she have to suffer like this because of her trash of a father?

7. [+31, -4] I bet you her father is going to repeat his mistakes even after she's paid it off. He'll probably go around borrowing more money claiming his daughter's name. I think celebrity children need to make sure that paying off their family's debt doesn't become a habit after the first time. The problem should only be between the debtor and the creditor, not their children too.
